Dave's Newest bulk into cut for show. AAS, SLIN and GH

Had a dude today tell me I was the hardest working guy in the gym.

Felt pretty good....

Love that feeling. I got one of those leaving the gym the other day when the desk lady asked how I was doing and I answered "Exhausted". She said no one ever walks out of there sweatier and panting like I do ha.

Nice! How's your back workout?

I usually get asked how I'm feeling haha. I drag serious ass and most of the gym employees know I'm cutting for a show. I look like a walking zombie leaving the gym by the end of the day and my 3rd visit

Week 1 was last week so there was some trial and error finding the right weights. Everything felt really good though and I was pretty sore the next 2 days after so I know I got some real work in. This week is gonna be a pain due to easter and my gym being closed so I'll be improvising a bit at home

Those asymmetric pullups are wicked. Never even heard of them before so that was a real shock to the system. T bar rows were pretty brutal the day after legs as well but damn do they feel good.

The asymmetric pull-ups are one of my favorites. I never did them till I started being coached. To take them way past failure I use wrist wraps and a elastic band. I hook the band under my foot and wrap my wrist wraps around the bar. I do this after my 4 original sets then use the wraps and bands to hit about 15-20 each side. I am fuked from then on. It truly wears your lats out isolating them individually. If you think about it as you weighing 200lbs each lat has to compensate for equal weight during conventional pull-ups and your dominant side can pick up slack. But asymmetrical pull-ups don't allow your dominant side to compensate so your muscle overload can be 75-90% instead of the 40-50% you get in a standard pull-up. Great for muscle mind connection and to get your CNS firing on all cylinders at the beginning of a back workout. Before you attack serious weight.

Defintely produces a totally new type of stress on my lats. I've never done a lot of 1 sided exercises for back as I stuck to the big compounds mostly. The "feel" you get with single side exercises is totally different. Requires a whole new level of focus and concentration not only on the exercise but keeping the rest of your body in line.

I really experienced this for the first time today and realized just how off I am from one side to the other.

How do you perform them?

Meadows rows are great for that feel. I did that back workout for a 2nd round and I know it's crazy and not probably but I feel like I was much stronger the 2 time around.

Strength workout to workout when starting a new program is fast. Your body senses the stress and adapts fast for a few weeks. Subtle changes are needed around week 5ish to keep them coming

How do you perform them?

Just like a normal pull-up but instead of using both arms you contract and pull with one side so your chin goes to that hand till your lat contracts. Don't sway your body and keep it straight up and down. Return to start position and pull to the other side. YouTube has so e good videos for a visual

Great conversation in here. I'm definitely going to try these next back day!

Just looked them up on YT, trying it on back day! Which may be tomorrow, or sunday one or the other.

Not only the world but the fitness community is bad. All this Paleo, vegetarian, low carb, intermittent fasting, insanity, p90x and continuos fad bullsh*t blows my mind. I used to be confused how people don't see that a basic diet, basic lifts and cardio a few times a week has been building the best physiques the world has ever seen. I couldn't understand how people are using this other fad sh*t and I'm getting freaky results with basic crap. Then it hit me... THEY DONT WANT TO WORK HARD. The gyms are full of people looking for a short fix to their long term problem. That problem being their inability to commit to something, work hard to it and see it through. I refuse to be part of the "herd" or "normal" FUK NORMAL I WANT TO BE A FUKIN FREAK. I want the physique that looks unattainable

Dude I could not agree more. Eat like an animal, get those basic compounds in, and cardio to stay lean. Arnold and all the classic guys did nothing special, they are and lifted. They were ****ing legends, I hate paleo phaggots. My god, as soon as you go paleo and lose a bit of weight people are all "g CAHHHHHRBS ARE THE ENEMMMMY (fat bastards voice)" and it's ****ing lame.

Looking good btw dude. Can't wait to see you on show day.

Funny story...

Took this nationally qualified bikini broad home last night. She gets so wasted (I don't drink) the dumb dumb ends of sleeping in the back seat of my car while me and my boy eat IHOP at 3am. Get her back to my place and she literally passes out while taking a pee. Head between her legs asleep. Hahaha

Dropped her dumb a$$ off about thirty minutes ago. Great body but overall just another useless annoying member of a lesser species. Lol.

Oh yeah she told me last night that she felt like she was in the holocaust?!!! WTF?!!

Never talking to her again

Hey Dave if your up for a laugh look at kleens fit by February 14th thread. I lost a bet and had to deadlift in a dress. Put 475 x 4 up in the gayest dress I could find.

Got a question for you guys.

Lets say you were ~7 weeks into a 15 week cycle (test only) and got hurt in a competition and were unable to train lower body, along with certain other lifts (anything involving bending over, twisting, or squatting, basically). Would you continue the cycle and train what you could (which you'll do anyway, whether on or off) and hope to maintain as much lower body strength and size as possible while you rehab and train upper body? Or go into PCT and save it for another time?

Stay on

It will greatly diminish any muscle wasting that will go on from not training lower body vs. Getting off and not doing anything. It would be 2 steps back. This SHOULD keep him in the same position.

At least much closer than coming off. My legs are the first thing gone when I come off.

Tried those asymmetrical pull ups today, I gotta lot of work to do lol. Could only do 2 on left lat side and 4 with stress on right. Crazy since I can do 10-15 normal pullups on an average day. Could really, really feel the lat contracting though, awesome stuff.

I had the same humbling experience. Pull ups aren't my strong suit to begin with so you an imagine. I just added sets to get the prescribed reps.

Stay on. The test will save some muscle and high levels of test also increase IGF-1 secretion which will help recover of injuries. After lifting you want to stretch the injured area is possible. That will help "tell" the body to absorb IGF-1 at receptors in that area. There are a few studies that show stretching upregulates IGF receptors. BUT some people argue against it and say it's not true. My logic is... What's the worst? If it's not true you end up with more flexibility and mobility in a strained or injured area. If it is true same thing plus faster healing. Regardless stretching increases blood flow which we all know helps recovery anyways.

Don't come off. You don't want your body trying to heal an injury AND trying to restore HPTA function at the same time. The only reason you should come off is if you legit broke bones. And even then depending on the bone I would argue against it.

I would love your input. Your knowledge is priceless. Sorry for bombing your thread:)

Can we get some pre peak noodz to compare to contest day?

Side note... had to do the back workout at home yesterday cuz the gym was closed. Improvised with a lot of bands for anything not free weights and dammmnnnn am I sore. All that constant and increasing tension really did a number on my back and since I was squeezing extra hard and at some new angles I'm sore in places that I didn't even know existed. LOVE this workout.

Yeah I will throw up some pics today or tomorrow. I started depleting Friday but nothing crazy. I will be loading carbs on Wednesday and water, sodium depleting soon.

I got pics. Carb loading started today and took them right before it kicked off. I will post em up later
