Lol the hormones are doing their part for sure - it's my job to hold up my end of the bargain & do what needs to be done! It hasn't been the easiest as busy as I've been, but I wouldn't trade it. That 449 is a PR at this bodyweight too, & I was stoked to nail it.

You know it - my gf is going & will be taking some for me. I have a dumb phone & I never wanna ask ppl to take vids of me at the gym. Plus it kind of kills my intensity, trying to coordinate with someone when I need to be thinking about crushing it. This way she'll be able to do all the work without me paying any attention.

Sweet pump, good intensity, was jamming out to some old A7x albums & got her done in about 60-70 min tops. Endurance is really shining now that Epi is in full gear. Never done 22 BW dips, all with full depth & full tri extensions. Bet I can get 25 before this cycle ends.

Thanks - I always wish my tri extension numbers were better! But I just can't seem to do more without cheating them. I try to keep from flairing my elbows & always try to get my tri's fully extended. I guess I wish my OHP was better too tho so I guess it all just takes time, right?

Badass PR on those dips! How many mgs of epi are you taking daily?

60mg - 4 15mg caps/day. I make sure 30mg is pwo. On work days it's 15mg first thing upon rising, 15 at meal 3 around 11:30, & the last 30 around 5pm before the gym. It's honestly treating me well, other than some joint pain - altho this is better than my last time on epi @ just 40mg; I think the 19nordhea is really helping lube the joints. I'm running very little AI right now too, so my estrogen is fairly up there too, which helps.

Day 36

Yesterday was off-day. Got off work, came home for a quick shower & shave & went with the lady to a happy hour with her co-workers over at an irish pub in the Soulard district. Had a 1/2lb Kobe burger with pepperjack, bacon, the works. I don't drink, but I feel that I got what I came for :) Came home at 8:30 & was asleep like a baby by 8:45. Popped a cap of 500mg Phenibut before bed - I peed at 3:30ish, then didn't wake again til 8:45am.

12 hours of sleep & a 1/2lb burger can do a man a lot of good after a long wk of work & training. Speaking of training, I know pretty much exactly where I stand on benchpress, which is less than stellar, but it is what it is.

Today

The big kid goin to this meet squat 619lbs today in a belt & knee wraps at around 242lbs bw. It was sweet!
 
Day 37

Morn Weight 208.2lbs (-2.0lbs from start)

I took weight this morning & was shocked to see despite all I've been packing it away trying to hold weight I've actually held or dropped fat. I mean I've been eating pretty good gents. French toast yesterday for bfast w/ a shake, tacos & such from the local chuckwagon, homemade lean cheeseburgers, ribs before bed, etc. This morning baked some jumbo biscuits & full fat ham that was given to us; made bacon/cheese/biscuit sandwiches with my isolate shake & coffee. Had mexican for lunch with some fam. Just trying to not get smaller before the competition this saturday.

Off-day unless I go in for some back/shoulder work later :)

"Meet Week" is in full effect. Went in for some practice & to move a bit of blood around; did 3x8 at 30% 1RM on my lifts & a few pump sets. Just really focused on working my form & explosiveness on the big 3. Caught an upper body pump & I've begun loading creatine mono as of tonight in my post-shake.

Yesterday was off-day.

Today went in, warmed up, worked up to 75% for 3 paused singles (215lbs) on bench. Did a few random pump sets. Had my postshake as I drove the 10 min home. Pulled into my alley & this guy is pushing his old Dodge pickup. I pop out & offer to help. Says he's trying to get to the gas station....which is over 2 blocks away. I pushed that old b*tch like a true strongman a good 1/3 of a mile at least. Then I walked back to my car & pulled into my driveway. So I got some impromptu HIIT :)

Tomorrow is a repeat practice of Monday, then going to the Blues game!

Heading to the hotel in Springfield, MO right after work Friday, & then it's go-time Sat morning. Catch you guys this wknd, hopefully with no injuries & some cool vids :sgrin:

Day 44

Weighed 209.2lbs this am (-1.0lbs from start)

Today is the last day of Epistane (currently 60mg); I will be continuing Max Bulk for 23 more days @ 9 caps/day I believe (up from 6 today) to run this cycle just over 9wks & give me some time to diet.

Here's the proof in the pudding - I can tell you guys about I how I did this, that, & blah blah blah, but nothing counts like doing it in competition:

for a 1,267lb total. My gf mistakenly says 423 before my pull, but it's 523. I was pretty worked up & got a little animated lol. They called me to the platform for my 3rd attempt to pull & I hit my ammonia & turned around to destroy it & they weren't even done loading the bar & the judge wasn't ready, so that threw me off a lot. I locked out the 567, but they wouldn't give it to me because he said my right arm hitched slightly. Oh well, still counts as a gym PR :)

I should have cut to the 198 class; I didn't realize the state deadlift record was so low. My buddy set a record with 532 yesterday & I could have bested that easily. Oh well. 220 is a serious class, the next guy ahead of me totaled 1,422 lbs. I'm gonna need to drop some bf before the next competition for sure, especially since I'll have to start competing in Open as of July when I turn 24. I'm not sure where the fat powerlifter stereotype comes from; virtually all of the 75 competitors except the very top weightclass guys were in better shape than most of the people at the gym. So were most of their spouses, bf/gfs, & supporters. More than a few guys were straight up peeled, easily 10% or less bf.

It was a ton of fun; I'll be doing another at some point for sure, hopefully not too long. It was worth all the trouble & all the driving & all the training. Even though everyone was competing, everyone was really supportive of one another & were pushing you to succeed. There was a skinny lil old guy in his 70s that deadlift 407lbs, & a 7yr old girl that pulled 110lbs sumo-style just like her 130lb mom who pulled mid 3-hundreds & almost broke the record. It's definitely a sport open to anyone.
 
Thanks fellas; the ref put his hand down & told me to stop once I struggled but I was like "F that, I'm lifting this sh!t!" & kept hauling to lockout. I'm not wearing this crotch-holstering skin sleeve & have my legs covered in baby powder for giggles; I'm in it to crush it. It was a personal PR by 2lbs, & at 10lbs leaner, & on camera in front of a hundred witnesses (nobody ever saw my 565 in the gym from my previous cycle) so I wanted it for me, regardless.

Thanks everybody! I'm honestly really proud of it; it's a lot of effort for something that basically only matters at a personal level, but I suppose at the end of the day that's all that really matters to us - what makes us happy on a personal level. To make it thru my first meet, without bombing out, & putting up some of my best numbers, I really couldn't ask for more. Really great experience. I know a lot of you are in this purely for the physique aspect of weightlifting, but anybody who also just enjoys heavy lifting should give it a shot.

Had a medium sized bfast of heavy foods before the meet w/ a cup of coffee & a cup of oj w/ 10g creatine mono in it. Had 2 protein bars & a clif bar during the meet along with my supplements throughout the day. Also made 3 drinks, each consisting of 20oz water, 1 scoop gatorade, 6g taurine, 6g BCAA, 1 scoop Flashover (100mg caff/20mg DMAA, few other goodies like BA & creatine) that I consumed before warmups for each of the 3 lifts, as well as a full additional gallon of water throughout the meet. Not kidding. I drank over a gallon & a half at the meet. I assume between the DMAA, ammonia, & adrenaline is what was making me so damn thirsty, but wasn't every terribly hungry. After the meet the gf & I hit up this lil Italian place for a celebratory dinner, which was awesome.

Figured I'd share that, as I thought it was interesting it worked so darn well for me. Stay really hydrated, lots of electrolytes, usable carbs & amines, just enough PWO spaced out to keep your drive up but not enough to make you feel like you took a PWO.
 
lol ... Mine tastes more like chewing up a mouth full of tylenol. I try to keep it under my tongue for a minute as well. Not sure if that really does anything though.
I might try holding it under my tongue for help with absorption.
 
My liquid adex tasted like rubbing alcohol. I just chased it with a little juice
 
My ralox tastes like candy. My exem tastes literally like jet fuel. A hose broke once while doing engines on refueling. I was covered... I think some of the RC sites are trying to take care of us since they know where the majority of their stuff goes lol
 
Great job on those lifts! YOu looked like you have 20 more lbs on that bench easy. Sucks on that last pull it must have been a really small hitch to get it up.
