What's the purpose of the inserts?

I couldn't do any cardio from last summer up until early this year do to pressure I was putting on my heel when walking (started when I started wearing Bates boots). The generic Dr Scholl's heel inserts have helped a lot. For some reason I can still feel the pressure on leg press, but not squats or running.

Honestly if you can't do 30 minutes of cardio straight without having a heart attack you're doing something wrong, or you better be putting up such big numbers that cardio is a no no.

To answer your question, I have flat feet, and it causes me to pronate when I land regardless of where my foot lands (heel/mid/fore), causing severe shin splints and compartment syndrome. These give me the proper arch support I desire and help, along with calf sleeves, to alleviate lower body injury. As for heel inserts I wouldn't use em, too much instability for an athlete needing mobility. Especially gel inserts. But a complete insert will help distribute weight evenly causing less pressure points like your heel issue. I really like the Bonz because they have a super deep heel cup that literally seats the heel in place, and you really can feel less pressure points. Usually I'll buy SOLE Softec inserts cuz you can bake them for a custom mold but they're $50 or more and I paid half as much for the Bonz...
 
Looks good, I have contemplated getting a juicer to get more veggies in. Yet, I have a feeling I would spend all that money for a good one and it would end up in one of my cabinets unused after the novelty wore off.
 

Well now I feel like an unwarranted azzhole. Everyones goals are different, and mine are based around being lighter and more mobile right now. Trust me I loved when I was 220 and could barely climb the stairs to my room or tie my shoes without cramping up, but I won't have the opportunity for that again for several years until Im ready to PCS again. Right now its all hills and running and lean muscle not weights and big 1RMs

Well thats what happens with anything really. Ive had this bithc for almost a year now, and this is the first time I've used it consistently. It helps that I need it for reaching a specific weight loss goal otherwise Id only pull it out once a month or so

Sooooo, yeah fck this juicing thing. I can't stand it. At this rate Ill be down to 170 in three weeks not 180.

Adjustments:
-2 solid meals a day. Small but solid. Bfast = oat bran/2 hard boiled eggs. Lunch = fish or chicken/rice. Otherwise Ill still be juicing 2 meals a day. Post bfast is a morning fruit type drink, and dinner is a veggie type drink. That with protein powder should easily put me where I need to be.

Morning weigh in was 190.4. Ill probably be in the 180s this weekend. Its gonna be hard to reverse diet outta this crash without blowing back up to 190+

I have that too. Ice, heat, stretch, foam roll, lacrosse ball pressure point work. Mobility drill every morning after waking. Thinking about getting something from here for my spine...

Update from tonights cardio sesh:

35 mins of yogging, 25 min 3 mile and 10 min cool down. Now foam rolling and static stretching followed by an ice bath and Epsom soak. Probably with a beer. An IPA sounds good tonight...

stone isn't bad. probably try something new though, we have an awesome booze store in abq finally. like a friggin costco for alcohol

Nice work 3 mile run in 25 is pretty good time. I honestly don't know if I could pull a 10 minute mile at this point. On the treadmill sure... out on the road no I don't think so. Not saying I couldn't with a little training but not sure if I ever did a 3 mile in 25 minutes or less. Then again since the military I never really timed any of my runs outside. Just making the distance was the goal, and I was running for weight loss not to get better at running so speed wasn't a concern.

By the way your experience at 220 sounds horrible... cramping from tying shoes and getting winded off a flight of stairs sounds horrible. I don't ever need to be that big.

Thanks. Had to slow down cuz of calf cramps, I fatigued way too soon. Damn low calorie intake is what I'm thinking. That was by no means my fastest.

Yeah that 220 was pretty rough. Too much too soon maybe but I did let all cardio slip at that point. I always intended to do it but never did. That and I was on a methyl at the time plus a gram a week testE. Blood pressure was through the roof. I'll never do more than 500-600 test/wk ever again

I also have lowered my test to 150/wk. This weight is coming off one way or another. Contemplating lowering hcg as well...
 
Bloods are in. I'm shocked at how high my numbers are. Definitely a factor why this weight loss thing has been an uphill battle. My source is potent. I'll be getting drawn again before I leave to Cali in two weeks. My total is near 1500 and free is twice what it should be as well. E2 is beyond normal also, I'm gonna blame the hcg for that one. New pinning schedule will be 1 pin of 150/wk + hcg at 400/twice weekly. I'll find out how things are in another two weeks and hopefully I'm closer to 1k test. I feel great right now though and hope I don't lose it...

You should look into Invalid Link Removed the workouts and stuff would be right u your alley for current goals plus he has a book called One Man One Barbell where he shows a new way to increase overall strength and power in the big lifts without compromising your conditioning or agility. The site is really cool and the type of fitness I intend to pursue once I am done competing. He is ex military spec ops and developed this style of training specifically for functionality, conditioning and ultimate strength.
 
Aaaaand today is a 10k hike. Might get some decent pics to share with you guys. Last weekend I did a hike wearing one of my cut up gym shirts and some tight jeans I ended up throwing away. The shirt didn't protect my shoulders at all and my pack dug in, lesson learned. The jeans were old and too tight, cut my stride short and made the whole thing just miserable.

Just ordered some IGF to help with recovery. Ive been beating the shyt out of my body way too much recently and Im feeling it.

I fckd up and binged last night on corn chips and salsa, followed by graham crackers and almond milk. Oh god I was just sooooo hungry. Oh well, back to the grind

Thanks dude Ill look into it. Right now its just a chaotic training schedule that I do based on how I feel. I have been slowly ramping everything up though. Take yesterday for instance, HOLY SHYT that was the best workout Ive done in probably close to 2 years. I was pumped like a mother and was running in overdrive the whole time after my warmup run. That workout took about 1:20-1:30, which would've probably been at least 2 hrs for someone weaker.

Lol, crazy timing. Thought about the DES route cuz you and everyone else keeps saying its stronger but I didn't feel like experimenting just yet. Went with LR3. Bought a grip of it. Gonna blast it at 100mcg a day for 4 wks then 4 off. Need that recovery like NOW lol

I have until tomorrow to decide since thats the next scheduled pin. The thing is that Ive been following Dr Crisler, and under his advice for TRT + HCG I've been running my test biweekly and hcg once a week. I think the huge hcg shot is whats causing my estrodiol to be high. The thing with hcg though is it raises the fsh and lh in turn raising test naturally so Im thinking that with one test shot a week followed by two pins of hcg the balance should be better overall. Perhaps Ill just try two pins of both test and hcg a week. Its still an experiment at this point til I get it dialed in...

I think I'm gonna do 500mg/wk hcg as well. That was my original plan based on research but then I talked to this guy named Justin who said his doc thinks anything less than a G a week is useless on test above 150/wk... Lol

Still need it though, Danielle wants a baby this year...

Not so bad, its whenever you stop that you realize how much humping with a load sucks... (no quote editing you **** suckers...)

Anyway I got two hours total in today. I'm gonna low ball it and say it was a 12k. Had to loosen the laces over the top of my feet cuz swelling starting settling in, but after that shít went surprisingly well
