Well in search of bettering a few things in my life ( things being mobility , focus , and anger control) I have my first tai chi lesson tonight. Not sure how it's gonna go. I'm not into new things very often. Not sure if it will help or hinder the gaining I'm trying to do either. But eating dinner then heading out. Up dates after

Well tai chi.... Hard to form a solid opinion after one introductory lesson. But I will say it made me wanna go back to form a better opinion. A few things led to this decision.

1: he has no other students at the beginner level. So I get one on one instruction from the boss man for 3 months or so.

2: because he has no other students on my level I'm getting charged monthly rates instead of private hourly rates

3: because I'm a veteran I get 30% discount.

4: he's willing to train me on my own schedule because I have my daughter 90% of the time

5: I know it's only one lesson in so I can't say its gonna help any of the issues I talked about before but I had a good time tonight and it's worth trying to get a handle on my temper.

in this regards, if you are open to it, i think it would definitely benefit you

^^ Agree with Snags. It definitely won't hurt anything.

I did a few months of yoga last year, and as gay as I thought it was going to be going in, it improved my stamina, my recovery, flexibility, focus, and believe it or not It did a (burn) number on several muscle groups. If I had the time now I'd do it again.

Bi's and tri's already sore. This is def my goto arm routine for a while. I'm at a place where I've made noticeable gains but feel like my muscle strength is rapidly out pacing my joint and ligament strength. Might start holding at my weight numbers but raising to a 5x8 or slowing all the movements down. They are all very controlled now but maybe increasing tut will help my overall skeletal/muscle strength.

What's wrong with Cheetos?

:grumble:

There's a lake here called Greenlake. It has a running trail around it and many areas where you can chill in the grass. During the sunny time of year, I see a lot of groups of people practicing tai chi together. They always look so at peace with the world and themselves. It has always intrigued me, but I have found other ways to make my own peace. One day I may give it a shot.

Finally slowed my pace today. Bout to mangle my lunch

That looks really good. What's the Ezekial bread all about?

I like that warm up with the squats alt. from back to front. I'm going to try these for sure.
This is something that we used years ago. It was based on the assumption that activation of the largest muscle group(s) tricked the body into producing higher levels of GH. We'd start every workout with a heavy set of deep squats in the 8-12 rep range. I may just go back to doing that as well.

Ezekiel bread is about the best way to consume bread I've found. No preservatives. Must be refrigerated. Made from sprouted grains. Here the label info

How does it taste? Like... bread?

Ehhh. If u toast it(I always do) tastes just like wheat bread. If u eat it right outta the fridge has a very different taste and texture than any bread I've ever eaten. Not bad though. Just different. I prefer toasted.

Not much for sporadic testing cuz I'm usually never pleased but checked body fat today. Been a lil over a week since I started Px black and alc cla stack. Body fat is down almost 2%. But I rarely check body fat so not sure what my normal fluctuation would be. But keeping at my diet hard. Seems to be paying off. Plus not sure of the exact accuracy of these calipers or if a true 2% loss is possible in two weeks.

2% is possible in two weeks, and will be easier to attain at higher bf%. Once you get to lower digits, it may become a bit tougher to drop the fat as quickly, but the "subtle" changes will be much more apparent to the naked eye. 28-26% is not quite as noticeable as 10-8%, get what I'm saying?

Yes

Another question in regards to diet... wtf is sugar alcohol?? I tried to Google and the only difference I found is it doesn't cause tooth decay like sugar. So is it equally as bad healthy eating wise??

Good question. I've always wondered that.

First, sugar isn't bad. It has been demonized to no end, but it has it's benefits (time and place). Over consumption, of course, will be detrimental. Sugar alcohol, if I'm not mistaken is 6cals per gram but I'm not positive. I'll have to go and check that number.

I don't see sugar and assume the plague but I try avoiding refined sugars. Correct?? But the reason for my asking was I seen a protein bar today. 3 grams sugar. 19 grams sugar alcohol. How's that play into healthy for my diet ?? Is it = to 22 g refined sugars from one bar??

Personally, I don't count micronutrients. If it fits my caloric goal and macronutrients, I eat it.

The number one problem with pull up plans:

They're usually designed to help you increase the number of chins you can do, not increase muscle mass. While doing a lot of chin-ups looks cool, we'd rather stretch out our T-shirts than turn into that skinny guy at the gym who can do a lot of chins and not much else.

Just read this on another site. Hahahahaha
