Jim's Training to Become a Human Tank!

Some unfortunate news, Formasurge has officially been DCed by BPS.

There's still some floating around the net if any of you guys want to pick some up, but once it's sold out; it's gone for good.

Cincy, I'll still send that one I promised you. The other I might keep myself for a PCT....

Topicals are a very tricky thing to use in the supplement industry. Can't blame BPS considering the majority of the stuff is squeaky clean with DSHEA.

Not saying that's why as I of course "know nothing Lebowski," but I wouldn't be surprised.

That's part of the reason, along with difficulty procuring raws, and possibly the most important reason (at least it seems as if it would be to me) is that having topicals as part of the line is stopping our products from being carried at certain retailers.

Good point. The biggest of the big boys won't even carry erase, let alone a topical AI.

I wasn't aware of that, but I do know that the compound in OG Erase is questionable IRT legality.

I'm unaware of what's happening with dermacrine because of this. I've asked about it, and am awaiting a response, but right now it is still being produced.

That sucks bro.

If you want to hold on to it I completely understand.

Cincy, I shipped it out today. I have a tracking number somewhere in my gym bag that I will try to remember to send you, expect the package in 3-5 days.

Also, update on dermacrine, it is still being produced but it will be DCed as well. As of right now there is "no end in sight".

Hell ya man. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

I thought we were gonna see some event pressing. Or is that also today?

That's some strong SG pulls, Jim. Are you using straps?

Also, what is the problem with your knee?
Yeah, I use straps for the SG stuff usually.

As for that, I'm unsure. In the army I was told it was a genetic issue with my knees (both), I figure its probably just improper patellal tracking, but my sister is convinced it's the onset of RA which runs in our family.

The left is significantly worse than the right, some days it's an issue and some days it isn't.

I did, I just didn't update it because I had to go bowling right after.

I didn't go very heavy, but got a lot of practice with my clean (log).

I went up to 160 x 4 with some good cleans and some bad and then did some circus DB cleans with 85#. (then assistance, which I'll update after the gym)

Big truck and big rocks. Nice job, man!

i wish we could have seen the look on his face when he was fighting that last stone. camera was a little far away :)

I really don't think anything except just being stronger will carryover to stones.

True. It's definitely a multi-faceted movement. I was just thinking that since you carry the weight in a similar position, it would include a very strong core.

<--loves zercher squats with chains.

Damn bro... This is some barbarian training. For some reason it reminds me of that scene in the Conan the Barbarian movie when Arnold is pushing that thing around in a big circle. Good job

The conans wheel is an event in competition lol.

I did it at my first competition:

I have one critique: You gotta work on that post-truck pull victory yell. ;)

What do you have to work on to get better at bear-hugging that 250 stone off the ground?

Not being a bitch and picking it up.

I like this strongman attitude! I'm thinking all of the form check vids that pop up on my facebook should get the same treatment.

"You missed that deadlift because you were being a bitch. Next deadlift day, don't be a bitch."

It tends to be the right answer to most problems in life.

Strict Press: 135 x 4, 145 x 3, 150 x 3 (+1 Rep PR)

Push Jerk (first time trying this, used the bar to work with it and ultimately hope to use this for my event presses): 150 x 2, 175 x 2, 185 x 1, 205 x 1, 225 x 1 (big PR, first time ever attempting 225 over head), 245 x F x 2 (just shy of lockout)

My technique could be better, but overall I'm fairly happy with this. I need to get out of the habit of letting my knees come forward for the push (something that's developed from log/axle pressing because of how the implement sits) and need to work on pushing the hips back so that I can be more powerful in the push.

Axle Incline Bench: 132 x 8, 152 x 6

Shoulders were done.

a1. Elevated Pushups ( stretch at bottom, drive to 3/4 lockout), 100 in as few sets as possible: 5 sets total
a2. Board Pushups (down to 3 board, pause, drive to lockout), 50 in as few sets as possible: 4 sets total

Triceps were smoked lol, planned to do 100 of each, but the triceps were having nothing to do with that.

b1. HG Pull-ups: BW x 6, x 5, x 7
b2. Pull Aparts: Red x 20 x 3

Also, I intend to do upper back work every day I'm in the gym at varying intensities and volumes. I did volume stuff today, so tomorrow I will be doing some low volume, heavy rowing (pendlay rows FTW). I am going to give my back no other option that to get stronger.

Awesome PR James...not available on mobile.

225 is very nice milestone overhead
