It's all about liability balancing at this point. Anyhow, a little pain never killed nobody.

Workout cut short before it started. Traffic is horrendous, and the missus freaks whenever there is any reason we may end up being a minute late where her folks are concerned, so she declares we need to leave 20 minutes earlier than slated, just as I am exiting the door to train. I say screw it, I will do my best, but need to complete most of my workout; but 25 minutes later I come to my senses mid-workout and assure her I will be on time -- even if only to quell her neuroticisms regarding her dad's neuroticisms, lol. So chest only. Will do arms tomorrow. In any event, my shoulder is burning.

Ran into 2 cop friends (they're brothers) I haven't seen in a while, who were formerly power lifters. Like me, they recently lost a shi.t ton of weight, from boxing and jujitsu in addition to Jenny Craig diet, j/k. Funny, they were showing me before and after pics on their phones. I told them, "It's good to see that there are two other straight guys in this place who are gheyer than me." (I don't mean that pejoratively. There is a large gay community at this gym. Some of the most strapped guys in the place.)

I'm having a cheese platter.

Noms, cheese ball. I made omelettes for brunch, with a 1/4 pound of quality sharp cheddar. It is Christmas, you know.

Pan fried some pecans in butter, with salt, cayenne pepper, brown sugar and maple syrup, for sweet potatoes.

I've made a new year's resolution -- no workouts for 2014, lol. I actually squatted once and did some core and shoulder PT stuff, and have been meaning to log that. But that's it since Xmas Eve, I am embarrassed to say. My RC was killing me, and then I got enveloped by yet more work a few days after Xmas. I'll be up and running again this weekend. For now, I am not only skinny, but also scrawny.

At least my quads match my upper body now after resuming squats and backing off upper body work bc of my torn RC, lol.

Still need to see the surgeon. Physiatrist said I will need to repair the RC. It was really lit up on the MRI, a lot of fluid, and some significant tears, subsurface and interstitial. He couldn't tell whether I will need a labral repair. I am hoping not!

But I will be back at it soon, in any event.

I managed to force myself to the gym late last night and had a brutal workout starting with a back workout, then reverse grip flat bench for many sets, then on to arms while doing a circuit with legs (split squats), upper/lower...almost threw up haha.. The motivation is back.

I wanted to ask people in here...with the crazy weather the US has been having, has anyone had old injuries causing pains again recently? I hurt my back carrying by 110 pound dog up 4 flights of stairs a year ago when he hurt is leg. I trained fine in the summer without it bothering me, then out of the blue, it started hurting during this whole 'polar vortex' business. Is it something I should get looked at (i.e.: MRI?)
 
Sorry for the disappointment. Planned on training and posting on Thursday, but it was a day spent just trying to catch my breath and restore my batteries, for a tough Friday.

Took the last week of the year off, because of work issues combined with my RC issues, and that has carried through to the present unfortunately. I have a pretty bad streak going, and need to dig my way out of this. I just finished my second sesh of the year, pathetically. Will get some traction after this next week. Still plan to make it in at least a few times between now and Wednesday. But the week after this next, I plan to return to my formerly pederastic ways, which of course will include pictures, maybe even video.

Sorry to hear this, but I don't know anything about this polar vortex thing. I am blessed with pretty temperate weather.
