Bi's and Tri's

Good things are happening and I'm liking it!! Six days in on LGD and I'm definitely feeling it! Pumps are coming on strong and muscle hardness is very apparent. My strength is also coming back with every session, and DOMS are creeping up too. My sex drive is unchanged and the boys seem to still have there normal size. So far no negative sides except for some lethargy the first 3 days. Looking in the mirror my waist is getting very lean still and fat continues to melt away, but now thanks to LGD I'm gaining size again even with the increased cardio and restricted calories.. Stay tuned...

Good to see the LGD is doing it's thing! How do you take it? Shoot it and chase it, or mix it with something?

You know how some people are hard gainers? Well I'm a hard loser, I find that for me 25-30 minutes cardio will maintain weight and over that is when I start dropping lbs even on restricted calories. Not sure why maybe u can shine some light on it for me?

I'm sure Kleen can answer this much better than I, but generally speaking Maintenance calories for your expenditure = no weight change. So if you're doing 30 min cardio currently x times/wk coupled with however much you lift, & you need the 1hr sessions to lose any weight, then you're eating enough that it takes all of x lifting & 30min cardio sessions to hold your weight.

Basically what I'm saying is you're eating maintenance. Remember that hunger doesn't really imply whether or not you're getting enough/too much to eat for your weight. When you get the flu you have zero hunger but even if you got tons of fluids you're gonna be dropping lbs fast because you're not eating at all but your body still has to exist & is thus burning calories.

I'd eat less vs. over 30min cardio so I could keep my muscles fully intact. If you're having a problem with hunger on less cals adding in more veggies is an awesome way to combat this, and/or shift your macros. But lean greens are almost a free pass to chow down as much as you please. Nobody got fat on celery & bell peppers.
This is sound advice.

Thanks Hyde!! I think my problem is the fact that I sit at a computer for 9 hours a day and burn zero calories.. I wish I had the time to hit up 30 mins cardio in the morning and then another 30 at night after my lifts.. I know the hour long sessions are no good for retaining muscle but at this point I'm trying to get as much fat off me as possible even if I have to sacrifice muscle mass.. :(
Here is what I would do in that case, Tabata, yep it sucks for the 4 minutes you are killing yourself but it is awesome in results. You could do Tabata then follow it with 20-30 minutes LISS and burn more fat. You could also squeeze in post workout, or before work. Once you try it you will love / hate it but bottom line it speeds up your metabolism.

Hey homie, call me crazy, but you've been cutting for a year. Your metabolism may have slowed down a bit. Take a break for a month with the diet. Loosen up your cals. Cheat a little. It may help May not. Could always do a little cleanse over the weekend.
I will delve into this more in a moment. However good suggestion.
What about switching up the cardio? Throw in some hill sprints, stadiums, or Prowler work.

It would cut down the time, up the intensity, won't be catabolic, and will probably help to increase strength and gym performance. It also beats the hell out of a boring ass piece of cardio equipment in the gym and the switch up would probably work wonders for fat loss
BOOM! I like the way this guy thinks.
Pulled 355x2 on deads. I'm racing to 450. Got video of the pull, when I came down on my first rep I hit the rack (was standing way to close) and it screwed me up... Still pulled the second one tho :)

Invalid Link Removed My forms trash tho lol

Peep the beard growth tho lol
Form was not bad here, but the longer you stay in the whole the more spring you lose for breaking the weight.
Your setup takes too long for my comfort - I take my breath at the top since the diaphragm isn't squished like when you're bent over, so I can take more air, then bend down, grab & go like hell- but there's nothing wrong with your form at all my man. You pick the weight up, backs not rounded noticeably, & you stand up straight with it. That's money!

First rep isn't locked out; 2nd rep is golden. Why's 450 significant to you, in particular? Isn't 405 next on the menu anyway? 4 plates/side is something a lot of guys haven't done.

Interesting one of my PL buddies was showing me how his trainer showed him to add 100 lbs almost immediately. He bent down grabbed the bar with his butt up, then at the same time as he dropped his butt down hetake in a huge breath so by the time he but was dropped the pressure from the air in his diaphragm basically sprung him back up with the weight. The timing of it added 100 to his already beastly deadlift in the same session. I forgot who it was that is training him but the guy holds an ass load of records for powerlifting including some DL records.

Sounds like it is legit for sure! Can you tell me how many runs in a bottle and how much for a bottle. No sources just info.

Also to touch on the diet situation. When you have been dieting for a long time and want to increase your metabolism you need to diet out of it for a bit. To do that drop fats to 50-60g a day and leave them there. Start adding carbs and add 25-30g every 3-4 days until you gain more fat. Carbs are not stored as fat, without a major conversion, but fats you eat are. So keeping them low will keep you from gaining much fat even though you are steadily increasing carb and caloric intake. Really for that you would probably opt for 50g fat if you gain fat easily. So when you want to speed the metabolism up that is what you need to do.

Thanks for all the info Kleen going to try some of those diet tips for sure.. As for LGD4033 it come like so 30 ml 10 mg/ml for around 75.00. Dosing at 5ml per day would give you 60 days worth.. Really not bad at all for the gains I'm starting to see.. If you want more info just shoot me a PM..

Off Day

Yesterday was an unplanned off day, on Saturday my son broke the remote to my home theater.. This is not your normal remote, it's a RF universal remote that controls all my equipment which is in a cabinet in my basement. So for the last couple of days I've had to run downstairs every time I wanted to change the channel. The new remote arrived last night so I spent hours programing the thing to control everything. It's a pain in the a$$ to setup but once it's done it really is awesome.. Check it out Invalid Link Removed if you guys have a lot of remotes this is your answer you can program it to turn off or on certain equipment with the touch of 1 button.. Tonight I'll be back at the gym!!

I am doing legs tonight, what is on tap for you?

405 for a single. Hips popped up quicker than I'd like.. Other than that I think it looks decent?

Yup! PR city beybeyyyyy! The rule with deadlift, despite what anyone may tell you, is that if you can get the weight locked out without hitching or stalling completely, it counts. Form could be awful, weight could come out from the body, but if you make it to the top without stopping or hitching you win. Lock the hips & the knees is all it is.

Form is purely an injury prevention/energy efficiency deal.

This is why I gripe so much about mine lol after watching the video a couple times and talking with my buddy at the gym, we've noticed my shins are hitting the bar before my hands reach, thus placing my shoulders wayyyy over the bar. Need to step back a half inch or so.. Any errthang be golden like them arches :)

Just mentioning this because the crossfit enthusiasts of the world (at least at my healthclub) seem to emphatically try to hate on any compound lift performed by anyone, often even themselves, because "their form wasn't perfect". Gimme a break. Form is for injury prevention, & while that's obviously numero uno, don't take it away from someone if they PR & their form doesn't suit your bill perfectly. If a guy's chest comes a bit forward on a heavy squat or his feet aren't exactly where they want, it's like they try to discredit it. So many people can't stand to see others succeed, or do better than them at something.

These are usually people who don't use more than 135 for a backsquat, mind you.

Tis true. Dave Tate once discussed it being like a teeter totter - you want all of the weight behind the bar to get the other side of the totter in the air as easily as possible. Shoulders back=weight back. Bend at hips with bar midway over foot to grab bar tightly. Lower ass til shins touch bar. Pull.

Mmm legs. Mr meadows second week is brutalizing.
Yes Sir, it is!
Do you or MrKleen73 have a copy of that workout I can get? With all this talk once I'm healed up I'm going to have to try it..
Yeah you know I do. Shoot me an email, I sent mine to you the other day.

To me it looked pretty good, if you were over you muscled through it with control. I am not perfect on technique, I just pull the weight and try not to round my back.

Funny I see so many crossfitters doing some scary crap to get their reps.

I need to start checking some of this out. I want to pull 600, and I think I have it in me with in a year if I work at it. I managed 500 after a little work but I was pulling like a Silverback, not with much technique.

Race you to 600 ;)

Elite FTS has some great YouTube vids. So You Think You Can Squat is something everyone should watch, and lots of their vids are very informative. They are teaching a power style, but if someone can deadlift or squat 1,000lbs these ways they're probably the safest & strongest techniques. And even if you don't focus on max strength, safety should be everyone's priority so they can keep lifting. Just good tips people can use if they so choose, & if not at least better understand what's going on with these movements.

All lifters should be squatting, deadlifting, & pressing if they're serious & not dealing with injuries, so all lifters should learn how to perform them in a reasonably safe, efficient fashion. My deadlift went up over 60lbs when I learned how to pull with more consistent form & how to transfer my energy better.

Yup, now I have stability for my right knee (and left for that matter -no muscular imbalances going on here lol) dem Skwatz is gon b gud :)

Since I tore my ACL/MCL and meniscus boxing, lately my knee has been sketchy. Did it years ago, but I think the heavy triples, doubles and singles lately have set it off!

You're going to EFFING LOVE THEM. Awesome support. I put em on right before I leave for the gym to give my knees time to warm. And keeps some warm blood in them inbetween sets. They'll get sweaty pretty quick. I also remove them for deadlifts so they don't get torn up as the bar passes my knees.

Totally gave me wood when I opened the package. Can't wait to rock em

Nice! When can I come over?

I do too!! My company has season tickets to the jets, I use to go to all the home games before I had kids.. I only live about 25 mins from MetLife stadium

thats awesome. when i worked at boeing we could get tickets to the philly's luxury box. went to one of those games but i dont have much interested in baseball now that they dont allow steroids. its f*cking boring! lmao. i wish i got tickets through work for buffalo but i cant complain. Ralph Wilson stadium is maybe 45 to an hour depending on how early you leave for it. usually a 3 or 4 hour drive out though lol

I can't even think of booze right now. Me and my buddy polished off an entire handle of makers mark at the tailgate alone Saturday and went out drinking even more after that.... Needless to say this is the first time I have moved off the couch and I have been living off dominos and gatorade

Awesome squat Tyga congrats on getting 4 wheels. I am going to grab a pair of those knee sleeves. I have been having and issue with one of mine recently.
