Holy crap! Snags, you've got some competition!

Well....I'll be honest. Without snags coaching me I wouldn't be nearly as far along as I am now. I've always lifted hard and supped smart but he has shown me new ways of thinking with diet and strategy. If anyone is trying to keep up its me. Learning and making improvements never ends but this guy is leading me down the right path.

That being said if anyone is looking for a coach I've got the number to a great one. :)
 
Did you notice that your inner pecs are thicker in your new pics even with the arms up compared to down. That really says something about the gains you have made.

Aye! Inner chest has been a focus for a while now and until you just pointed it out I never noticed. (Looking at myself every day and all) good eye baldy :P
 
Your inner pecs are ridiculous man. Look at your avi, I mean look at it like it isn't you. If you saw that on someone else you would be like Man your inner chest is freaky. Yes Snags knows his diet stuff for sure.

I've made big changes but I wish I had made then eight years ago. Hindsight being 20/20 and all. No time for sob stories must push forward though.

2nd straight rest day. No G8 last night but I went to bed at 4am and woke up about 1120. Don't usually sleep past six hours without G8 so here is more proof my body is I'm fact trying to recover.

Diet change! Wooo woooo! Gonna be adding in 25g WMS to my intra workout BCAA+SAA as well as 60 extra grams of dextrose and WMS post workout. Carb rotation will stay the same from food sources but on lifting days I'll add these carbs in and they WON'T go towards my total.

Can't think like that bro. If I did I'd never recover thinking of the 20 years I simply abused my body by eating/drinking what I wanted and leaving exercise alone. The past 6 years have made me a new man. Fitter than ever in my life..embrace all that you have accomplished - we all know you are FAR from done! Knowing your history inspires Montana... and ya.. look at dem der' veins!
 
Different lighting here but I think you may be leaner now than you were even though the abs look more defined under the sunlight. However what is obvious is the thickness, especially the inner chest as mentioned previously and this shot is basically the same angle. Now that you have width your lats push your arms out as much as your kids did.

Lol. Sooooooooo creepy. Actually no. Worked late again last night and the youngest woke me up bright and early. Only got about three and a half to four hours. Session was lame. Stretched did some bw box squats to work on form. Started my GVT sets and said fk it. Stomach was upset and eyes are stinging. Time for a nap.
 
Ah call it a day get some rest and go at it tomorrow if you can.

I am looking at a similar issue once I get my BF down more. Obviously I have to get my diet dialed in better, but I am in no rush and I am not looking to compete.
Appreciate any insight. Sucks to make such dramatic changes and I still know that I will be self conscious about what is left.

Lol. No really I wasn't 100% sure. I thought about surgery, topical creams, peptides. I joked around about self surgery even lol. I really wasn't sure what to do. I know it crossed my mind a couple times though that if the skin didn't tighten up any I would seriously consider not competing.

But it looks like I won't have to make any of those decisions. The body is crazy and ESPECIALLY when I wake up in the mornings the skin is tightening up day by day dramatically even.

Consider some cissus. I used nutraplanet's bulk @ about 3g/day when the joints bug me hard (always cruise 1500mg Glucosamine & 1200mg of Chondroiton). I just keep the nasty powder in my cabinet & if things start flaring up the cissus will start working on the 2nd day for me. The gluco/chon combo works fine most of the time, but cissus gives that immediate anti-inflammatory effect if my estro is low or my lifting has gotten particularly demanding.

I've got some cissus coming...fish oil would be awesome but my GI Dr advised against it so I've stayed away. Between Active Multi and Animal Flex I should be good but without the fish oil I'm gonna have to use the Cissus.

Video of todays squats. This was my seventh set I think......Backed the weight back down again to try to find my groove since form has been awful and went shoeless.

Felt better but I just cant get that "sitting back" feeling.....always fell like im going to fall backwards. Also my first couple sets I focused on slowing my negatives down and my knees just couldn't take it. Sooooo I tried to stay in the hole a little longer under some tension.

I did notice that when I paused at the bottom my knees didn't buckle on me as much.

Skwats are much improved, brotherman! Nice work dialing it in, that will keep you healthy and have you moving more weight.

Dr said the fish oil could be lubricating up my gi tract. He said this wasn't a for sure cause but wouldn't hurt to try and exclude it. Haven't had and issues lately but I don't really want to tempt fate ya know? Lol
