phenibut withdrawl

Labrada, You took phenibut for way too long and you stopped too abruptly that is why the withdrawl effects are so bad. I hate to say this but it can take months to recover from this. Your Dr. gave you bad advice. All he did was treat your symptoms, not fix the problem. The benzo is just like a temporary fix, and will make the problem worse. Your nervous system is in shock right now and Your body needs to recover naturally. Taking anything else may delay that process.

I have gone as high as 2,000mg of SNS phenibut and never any issues then again that is me.

I also only take 2-3 times a week at most if not less.


some have different experience at 500mg.

Phenibut is out of this world though,that is for s ure.

I've heard of people being addicted to it.

If you find yourself in the position as the OP, I would slowly ween yourself down so you don't experience withdrawals.

Withdrawals, from a SUPPLEMENT? You have to remember, just because it's legal and accepted on a message board, doesn't mean it can't **** your day up

it costs me a little more, but i am willing to pay for the quality and convenience of capped phenibut xt over bulk phenibut.


i like 4-6 caps maybe 3 x a week. never had any issues.

1st time i tried phenibut i couldn't believe this stuff is legal, very good stuff.:amish:

First time I tried phenibut it was the best feeling I've ever experienced in my life. The feeling was a insane overwhelming confidence and energy combined with absolutely no anxiety whatsoever. Usually you don't have that combination of feelings. It was complete euphoria and I thought it was the best thing in the world. Too bad it's effects gradually wore and then the side effects gradually increased till I can't even take it anymore. No matter how much time I take off.

I can take 6 grams of klonopin (potent stuff) or any other benzo and not get 10% of the euphoria that phenibut produces. The massive antidepressant qualities alone make me wonder. Klonopin and drugs of the like don't have anti-depressant effects. So idk. If anyone know more on this subject please chime in.

Phenibut also stimulates dopamine receptors and antagonizes beta-phenethylamine (PEA).

what kind of dose did u take your first time?

also, do you know what version of phenibut it was?

r-phenibut or s phenibut

being a insomnic when i was 1st prescribed restoril i thought i had died and gone to heaven, then tolerance built and i was worse off than before. phenibut is the same, i have learned to use in moderation. being a recovering alcoholic i have learned that moderation is the key to life.

I've never taken it yet so I can't really comment on it or the effects thereof. But I was wondering if anybody has tried working out on it? I mean if you feel that great and have great confidence, I could see using it on those days where you're just not very motivated and are tired but know you still need to go to the gym.

Ever considered taking in conjunction with PEA to offset that? I have taken PEA and slowly tapered up the dose to experience the effects of it. I can't remember off the top of my head (but I do remember doing a log of it) but when I got to a couple/few? grams, I couldn't stand the feeling at too high a dose. Lower doses were fine and I got the nootropic effects.
 
phenibut+stim=great cardio workouts, for me not so good on lifting days-just made me too damned mellow. :amish:

man, i swear you can zone out on cardio. get some good music going and an hour is over in seconds flat. i really feel that it improves the endorphin effect i get from cardio. throw in some macuna for even better effect.

This was a long time ago but I know it was from bulknutrition. I took one serving and I believe it was around 750mg.

I have no idea what version it was, I didn't know there were 2 different versions.

When you got a problem you want to take something that "assists" you. Not use that product like a cure or think it's the cure. Like with insomnia, take a supplement or a drug if it's occasional, if it's regular find out what's causing it. If it's anxiety seek a therapist and or change your life so that you can handle it better. If you think it's a sleep disorder, see a sleep specialist. These words come from learning the hard way. I had bulk phenibut sitting around for years that I didn't even touch. It was like it was hard getting rid of something so great yet you know the coincequences of it if you take it. I finally threw them out a few weeks ago during a move.

I never took phenibut before a workout. I always took it for stress related reasons. That initial experience of extreme confidence drastically dropped the 2nd time I took it and as time went on.

What's wierd is one of the reasons I stopped taking phenibut is it became too much of a stimulant. It's effects reversed and it just gave me anxiety.

I've never combined phenibut with PEA. Only other gaba acting supplements like theanine, taurine, glutamine and gaba. When the side effects got so bad I was done experimenting.

I have experienced this myself. I don't really give a crap about much of anything. I just run with a zoned expression on my face.

Phenibut is cool stuff.

Makes sense. I've tried a couple of those and am still using GABA at 2-3g at night.

GABA does work regardless what the science says about it not crossing the blood/brain barrier. It can be subtle but when you combine it with other things like theanine, taurine or glutamine you can really feel a synergistic effect.

A safer option then phenibut would be picamilon. It does build tolerance but the withdrawl effects are small if any. It feels different because it works on a different gaba receptor then phenibut.

it is rather different for sure...

1st I notice more of a motivating factor and well being from picamilon and with phenibut it just eliminates any nerves or stress period.

both are effective and do exactly what they say.

the best way to use bulk gaba is put it under the tongue and hold until it disolves. honestly this increases effect tremendously. i usually always get sns phenibut xt because of guaranteed quality and convenience, but i would think it would be the same for bulk phenibut, although i don't know about taste-the gaba really isn't bad.

@ flaw now i have started sleeping but very irregular sleep patterns symptoms goes up and down but nowhere near where i was but why did it took so much time to feel somewhat normal and still not fully recovered.do you have any suggestions.
 
I've been taking Comatose for about 4 months, anywhere from 2-4 x week. Always worked great. I noticed the last bottle I cracked open was making me sleep deeper and longer than previous bottles. Anyways, I used it a few days ago and it delivered excellent sleep as always. Then, the next day I took it and it wired the heck out of me. I was baffled. Turns out, phenibut is in it! It's just listed as 4-amino-3phenylbutyric acid HCL. Now, it apparently is not working for me and having paradoxical effects. I have ditched it and will not use again. I had to use Benzos the last couple days to combat the symptoms. From what I gather, the restoration period from pheni withdrawl/overload is about a week, yes?

Baclafen may be the better, safer choice to relieve Phenibut withdrawal symptoms. Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin and etc. may actually just prolong or enhance your misery. Taking short acting benzos for withdrawals from anything is not a great idea without doctor supervision, especially another GABA drug.
