breezy's training, supplementation, and food log

I bet that strawberry cheesecake q bar in a pancake would go well with the vanilla protein frosting.

Sure would. All of the flavors should be great with vanilla. I'll make a vanilla/strawberry frosting for those.

Ya I got them for $20 a box so I couldn't resist.

I almost grabbed that deal, but decided to hold out until trying one. Good to hear you like them though.

I was going to run out of Recompadrol today, but not anymore.

After a month of use, I'm a huge fan of both Recompadrol and Metabolic Powder and don't plan on running out anytime soon. They'll remain staples in my supplementation, regardless of my goals.

I highly recommend taking advantage of the current buy 2 get 1 deal being offered by EBF Inc.

Breezy I figured I'd tell ya I'm starting a 12 week mountain dog program from Meadows himself.

I was curious if you had any video of the rear delt hang and swing...
Or are they the same as the rear delt destroyers

That's awesome man. I actually saw that in your thread and my phone died before I could respond (battery is awful).

Yeah, rear delt hang and swings are the same thing. They can be done as a "destroyer set" on an incline bench or standing for however many sets (non-drop set) with one weight.

Here's standing:

I need to try Recompadrol. I really like MP and lots of solid feedback on Recompadrol....jelly of that stash!

I waited a long time before finally trying it as well. Yeah, they're solid products. I'll be using both anytime I eat for the next 3 weeks and MP before lifting and cardio as well. AP, I keep with carb containing meals and before fasted training/cardio (which is what I've strictly been doing).

Try adding recompadrol with mp for faster training and before bed!

I actually trained fasted with Recompadrol and MP yesterday because I'm running low on AP and wanted to save it for my refeed (have more on the way though). I almost forgot about pre-bed use. My GDA stash usually isn't this big, so I tend to stick with meals/fasted training. I'll use Recompadrol and MP tonight! Thanks man!

Have you experienced any GI issues with Recompadrol/MP?

I've luckily never had GI issues with any GDAs (and I have dealt with severe GI problems in the past). There's been some gas after a few larger meals when MP was used prior, but that's to be expected, especially with meals like I consumed yesterday.

You're lucky you haven't had GI issues with Recompadrol! Man did that stuff kill me! For some reason AP and Glycophase didn't give me any GI distress... I do wanna give that metabolic powder a shot, though!

That's too bad man. My stomach is a little of rough today, but I think it's unrelated and might be getting sick...worst possible time ever.

I hit chest and shoulders this morning and it was a short, but decent performance. My energy just hasn't been there lately and the length of the majority of my sessions has been down considerably. I have to work today and tonight (won't be home until 11pm) and it's going to be awful.

These Vanilla Ice Cream OxyELITE Protein/Quest WCR Pancakes will be the highlight of my day. They were beyond delicious.

After a rough day yesterday, I actually woke up feeling better than I have in a couple weeks. I don’t know if it was the extra hour of sleep (6 total), but I had good energy during this morning’s back session.

Part of 2nd set: I came up with this idea on the fly. Both the shrugs and the rows felt amazing. I used various angles by moving and positioning the bench/myself, which hit my upper/mid back very well. I’ll definitely be keeping both in my arsenal, as they felt more effective than any prone shrug/row that I’ve previously done. The rows were especially great. Pulling back against the fixed path hit my back in a way that it wasn’t accustomed to. My phone memory filled up so the video is cut short.

Frosted Vanilla Ice Cream OxyELITE Protein / Quest Apple Pie Pancakes

Invalid Link RemovedInvalid Link Removed

Pancakes
-1.5 scoops Vanilla Ice Cream OxyELITE Protein
-1 Apple Pie Quest Bar
-1/2 cup gluten free oats
-220g egg whites
-3/4 cup "So Delicious" Sugar Free Coconut Milk
-1.5 tsp baking powder
-ground cinnamon (to taste)

Frosting
-1/2 scoop Vanilla Ice Cream OxyELITE Protein
-1/8 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Calories: 756
Protein: 95g
Carbs: 44g (29g fiber)
Fat: 18g

This was my favorite combo so far (and Apple Pie Quest Bars aren't at the top of my list). I knew they'd be amazing when I first had a taste of the batter (like the greatest thick milk shake of all-time). The pancakes literally taste like apple pie and the frosting, additional cinnamon, and some WF syrup made them unreal. I'm going to run out of OxyELITE Protein today, but will have to go buy more because the pancakes/ice cream (apple pie ice cream will be unbelievable) are saving me throughout my prep diet. Carbs have been kept between 100-140g (with a lot of fiber included) since last refeed (Thursday) and will make another small drop after my scheduled refeed on Tuesday.

Those sound amazing breezy!

Sorry to hear your're not feeling well man! Just power through it and make sure your vitamin C is up to par!

I've been feeling pretty run down too. More sleep, shorter more intense gym sessions and more carbs have helped me

Thanks brotha! The really were. Unfortunately, that'll be the end of my Quest Bar use until after the competition. It was a delicious few days though. OxyELITE Protein is getting put aside this weekend as well and I'm going to be miserable. :(

Sorry to hear your're not feeling well man! Just power through it and make sure your vitamin C is up to par!

Thanks dude. I'm doing alright and getting started on my refeed soon, which has me feeling better already.

Sleep would be nice. I'm working a lot more than usual and it's been rough. I'll be good though. I'm actually lowering carbs, but bumping up refeeds another day this week (1 today and next one Saturday).

I got things started like I have been with a couple slight changes.

I decided to go with OxyELITE Protein/organic strawberry frosting for the pancakes and sprinkle the waffles with this.

Tis the season. I'm going to kill a sleeve of Trader Joes Pumpkin Bagels on Saturday. They're a solid option with 250 cals, 51g carb, 8g protein, and 1g fat each. I'll most likely frost them with OEProtein and sprinkle the pumpkin pie spice on top, which will be my last taste of OxyELITE Protein for the next couple weeks.

I picked up these this morning. Love them and hadn't had one in years. 2g of fat.

I'll be having cereal next and replacing my pasta with a homemade gluten free pizza. I haven't even had a slice in at least 6 months, probably a year, and it should be amazing. It'll be large and only have 8g fat total.

My dad works at kelloggs, for Halloween employees get a load of rice crispy squares to give away, a variety of kinds. They gave him 200 last year and we had a hell of a lot of leftovers lol I'm sure this year will be the same so they will be in my winter bulking diet

That's awesome and I'm jealous :D. I've loved them ever since I can remember. My parents never made or bought them either, so it was always a big treat. The variety box was very tempting this morning, but I held off due to the additional 1-1.5g of fat in each kind. I heated them up so they were extra gooey and wiped up the frosting/WF syrup on each plate.

Wow. I should have been doing this for years.

Ingredients
-grilled chicken breast
-fresh green/jalapeno/banana peppers and onion straight from my parents garden
-gluten free pizza sauce
-gluten free pizza dough
-fat free mozzarella
-Frank's Buffalo (coated chicken and put some in sauce)

This fit into my reefed great as it totaled 8g of fat, had a ton of carbs, and knocked out most of my protein target for the day. I can post the macros later if anyone is interested. It absolutely blew away my expectations and was easy to make. I killed the entire thing within 10 minutes and wish I had more. I'll definitely be making more pizza on Saturday...and for the rest of my life. :)

+1 for jalepenos and banana peppers on pizza! Great minds think alike

They're the best! I need to come up with a new style for Saturday's pizza/refeed.

Turkey sausage goes great on pizza!

Yeah, but that will have to wait a few weeks. Grilled chicken will be the only meat I use, since my goal is as little fat as possible. They'll have ground beef, bacon, and sausage eventually :D. A cheesesteak pizza would be great.

Here's part of a set from yesterday's chest/shoulder session. I don't have all of my workout numbers available.

10/16/13

Energy was great for this morning's back session. I don't currently have the details, but did the following:

Kayak Rows: 4 sets

Meadows Rows: 5 sets (focused on strict form with lighter weight)

Prone Smith Shrugs / Prone Smith Rows: 8 sets hitting multiple angles 2x each (love this combo)

Neutral Grip Pulldowns (wide): 3 sets

Stretchers (close neutral): 4 sets

2 sets of Meadows Rows (100lbs/125lbs)

4 sets of Prone Smith Shrugs/Rows (working up the bench, hitting the entire back)

This is my new favorite back combo. I felt like I could've left the gym after these, as my back was smoked from top to bottom.

Yeah, I guess for contest prep you're at like basically no fats!

It's only for refeeds brother. Every gram counts when you want to stay at or below 50g fat with 1000g carbs.

Sadly enough, there are no avocados in your near future...

Haha I still get some fats on a daily basis. Chicken, egg whites, and greens make up the majority of my current diet though. :(

All caught up, that pizza looked fantastic Breezy.. 1000g of Carbs, just sounds badass! (and filling lol)

Thanks man and welcome back. I have another great pizza lined up for tomorrow. I actually just put all the details of my refeed together and it's going to be amazing (exactly 5550 cals and 1000g carbs).

I'll try to have a workout update posted tomorrow. The last couple weeks have been the busiest that I've ever experienced, which is no fun with my lack of energy from dieting.

What is looking like my last taste of OxyELITE Protein for the next 2 weeks...:(

Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream

Invalid Link Removed

I mixed Trader Joes Pumpkin Pie Spice with Vanilla Ice Cream OxyELITE Protein. It was fantastic.

Carbs were kept to 50g today with 30g coming from fiber, so this was a real treat. Calories hit a new low as well.

I don't think I'll be able to fit any OEProtein into tomorrow's refeed, as my intake will already be slightly higher than I'd prefer (mainly due to bagel and pizza content).

Why are you cutting it out? Where are your cals daily now?

Why are you cutting it out? Where are your cals daily now?

I'm just tightening things up wherever I can, which doesn't leave me with many options. I could possibly sneak a scoop for straight egg white/protein pancakes at some point, but that'd be it.

Cals still vary somewhat based on training, but are usually between 2600-2900, with massive 5500 refeeds every 4 days currently (my maintenance cals are higher than most people). I kept them lower today, along with carbs, which I've been doing the day before I refeed. Carbs will be kept to 100g or below after this refeed and may drop slightly following my next refeed (what I've been doing).

I'm 173 as if today and at 2350-2450 calls wish it was higher. Took out refeeds and everything.

But I added a ton of pb! And took away carb

That's rough, but you're doing great man. I don't think I'd be able to function without the refeeds. I'm having a hard enough time making it 4 days at this point lol.

Nice. PB has been keeping me happy when carbs are super low. I made egg white/OEProtein pancakes with a tbsp PB this morning. PB might get the boot soon as well, but I haven't decided yet.

Breezy.. not sure why you are cutting OEProtein, does that include all protein powder or just that specifically.

It's the only powder that I've used since being released, but I'd cut any powder regardless. I'm going to try and get all of my nutrition from whole foods. While there are only a minimal amount of carbs in the powder, I won't have many to work with the next 2 weeks either. We'll see how it goes, I may use it sparingly.

Sounds awesome. I wanted to grab Cookie/Cocoa Swirl Butter from Trader Joes today, but the fat content was too high for my refeed. I did get Pumpkin Butter though, which has 0g fat. I'm gonna spread it on bagels (mixed with fat free cream cheese on a couple) and put it on some fat free ice cream (2 suggestions straight from the jar).
