1ifeblood Breaks On Through to the Other Side!

Took a quick pic after my workout today. Just a little something for you guys being so awesom in here! Sorry I don't know how to pose or anything so take it for what it is, some dude flexing in a mirror lol. The pics I take on cycle will be on Sunday mornings upon waking post-waste. I'll also take measurements every 4th week. I've also got a full length mirror setup that wi'll be using as well. For those of you who were following my last logs, you might notice some additional mass...som good, some bad. Basically I ended up bulking this summer without really trying to. I just enjoyed myself, ate what I wanted (being smart about it but not counting anything). Sundays were river days where we ate burgers, hotdogs and plenty of alcohol. Most importantly though I kept lifting. I went to this full body workout M/W/F and found its a LOT easier to get up in the mornings to go to the gym whereas before I would "allow" myself to miss a day here and there to catch up on sleep.

Here's the thing...my weight has remained constant at 180-183 but my strength has continued to increase. This is why I'm so excited to see how this cycle goes. With a strict diet, an effective workout, NO ALCOHOL, some gear (especially gear), and the support of the smartest and coolest peeps on AM...this has "success" written all over it!

Hey I DID post something about breaking some PRs somewhere back there. I think. Once I get this log going I should probably put "please jump to page... to start reading this log or continue reading for a straight up bromo-fest" on the first post so people know what they are in for.

Just giving your gheya$$ the gears bro! As Kleen said so far, fun thread.

Pic looks good. Definitely still lean enough to really see the changes over the course of this log. Checking your diet link in a minute...

Not IQ but EQ... Emotional Intelligence. It's a measure of how well a person can first identify what they are feeling, have the willpower to control how that emotion affects them, understand what another person is feeling, and then know how to interact with that person in order to come to a desired result. People who are considered to have reached the upper echelon of their profession have been measured to have a high EQ (90%) whereas only 50% had high IQs. Showing that it's not the brain that determines one's success but rather their heart (metaphorically speaking, of course, since we all know the brain is what controls emotion (-; )
If you're really interested you should read the book Emotional Intelligence 2.0. They provide you with an online test that you can take to see where you rate and then again 6 months later to see how much you've improved.

I had no idea that there were actually tests for that. That's interesting. Actually I do need some cardio reading material right now so I'll probably get it. No good cardio reading material = ditching post-show cardio and getting fat again way too fast lol.

You'll love it, Classy. If you have any interest in how emotions work and the way people use them to interact with others, then you'll find some great stuff in there. It also has emotional "exercises" you can do to improve your own EQ.

Lookin good broham!

Looking good my all to sexy brotha! Why you frowning in that pic? I sure am glad the bottom of the pic is blurry...

Classic, no doubt cardio is horrible without some good reading or a movie. I find reading is better than a movie because you aren't just being entertained but keeping your mind busy.

As far as you planned diet and this is just me personally I would rather see the Olive Oil in 8:30AM moved to the 11:AM meal, and from the 2:00PM meal to the 5:00PM meal, it will space the fats out more and get them away from times when you are spiking insulin with higher carb levels. Once you get over 40g carbs in a meal you kind of want to be aware of how much fat you are having with that meal. Just better to not have a lot of fat with a lot of carbs.

Lol. ..I was shaking pretty bad. That's my concentration face. And you don't have to pretend about the blurriness. I know you're disappointed. I'll send you the uncut version (no I don't mean that) via PM.

Yeah good cuz if it is uncut you can keep your turtleneck to yourself Sir! Besides the blurriness leaves a lil something to the imagination.

Well I hope you've got a BIG imagination!

That's actually a shake that I make. What if I had the chicken, quinoa, and veggies at 830 and moved the shake to 11? I could also drop the oats from the shake and just increase carbs elsewhere. Like by adding rice or sweet potatoes to the steak and veggies, and then switching that meal for the 2pm shake.

I'm really liking the way my "supplement" cabinet is looking!

I'd tap that. ;)

Hell yeah! Give AB an extra ass slap from swanks

I made some tweaks to my workout and put it on the first post if anyone is interested in checking it out.

Question about Dbol dosing...I've read where people will take a higher dose pre-wo then at regular intervals through the day. And some say to just keep it the same throughout the day to keep blood levels more even. Just curious how you guys who have used it dosed and whether you think it makes a difference.

In all seriousness, good luck to AB at the meet. Dude is a beast

Well this thread came to a screeching halt. But here we are... the final stretch! Come Monday I will be one anabolic mo fugga! For the first week, I've decided to dose 30mg dbol at 10mg with 4am meal, workout at 530am, and 10mg at 9am, 5 at 2pm and 7pm... this will leave only trace amounts come 4am the next day. That's figuring a 5 hour half-life. For week 2 I'll up the dosage to 20,10, 5, 5 respectively. Pins will be Monday morning and Thursday night. Getting ready to ROCK this! \m/ . , . \m/

Swanks going to 'inject' you? lol

As far as the changes you talked about I think they would be fine if they were based off of why I mentioned the change. Sorry don't have the time to go back and compare and do the math but if you understood the reason for my suggestion from my explanation I am sure you made appropriate changes. :)

Its cool man. I've got it figured out! Basically switched it around so fats are separate from carbs.

This is only my first cycle, bro... sheesh. I should have a couple runs under my belt before I jump into that level of juice.

338 posts and this ****er hasn't even started yet?!?!??

Can I plz have your autograph sir?

Carry on

I do. I considered studying psychology at one point.

I always go with either music or reading. I've tried movies and they just don't entertain me well enough. I don't usually get into movies anyways or watch TV so I guess it makes sense. One thing is for sure...for LISS you've got to have something to keep you busy so you're not just going along thinking about how crappy it is lol.

Interested to hear what you have to say Classy!

I have nothing big to add that hasn't been said. I think this is another one of those things where you'll need to pay attention and adjust as you go. One thing is for sure, and that is that you'll be able to handle more overall calories without getting fat too fast.

A very interesting topic, something that I've always been fascinated about. It's always been my thinking that every person is just as unique as the next because there will only ever be that one person in all of eternity. Yet we share so many similarities in how we cope and function amongst society as a whole. And each one of us plays a very specific role in bringing this conglomeration of individuals to work as a living, cooperative machine. You will definitely like the book. ;-)

I've spent many times on a treadmill with any distractions. Just the depth of my own mind. When I used to drive hours on end I would typically drive without the radio on and just think, almost meditate. I've had several epiphanies about life (and death) during these times. But now I prefer music!

Well I think you're right. I've got everything I understand about dieting wrapped up into this meal plan, but I know it's just the bayous really. To get a clear understanding of how my body will respond, I just need to pay attention and monitor closely.

EDIT: And you are rocking that new avi!

Yeah you will learn a lot during this run, anabolics change the game and things that would not go over well nutritionally in normal circumstances can become optimal when on. A good base is always the place to start though.

I thought you were running test? I fear the needle myself lol

Yes, but I was referring to having swank juice "injected" in me. That's a whole other level.

lol'd at this. Same here for long drives, waiting in a waiting room, anything like that. I don't mind just sitting and thinking. In the early years I got in trouble for spacing out in class regularly but you know...I was 6, I didn't care about social studies lol. Now, when it comes to cardio it's a different story because if I'm too deep in thought I don't keep my heart rate up and if I do keep it up I'm too distracted by the effort so music or reading it is!

Thank you sir. :)

Spacing out in class... that's how teachers would describe me to my parents during conferences. But I did that even into my high school years. My thoughts were just more interesting than the stuff they were talking about lol.

It's true though, our thoughts really were more interesting and I don't regret it one bit. My grades were very good in elementary school but behavior reports were pretty bad haha. Really, I didn't start paying attention until I got to university and the classes were actually interesting.

... and more hands-on. I loved doing labs because I was actually DOING something. Out of the 5 different things I went to school for (never actually got a degree in anything lol), massage therapy was my favorite. And I believe it played an integral part in getting my wife to marry me. :-)
