wow. just wow.

you know, I've never had a real vacation? it's hard especially now since I'm in sales and if I'm gone nobody does my work for me, which means I lose lots of money and get really behind on work. so its basically impossible.
 
Ugh back to reality today got in late last night. Had a blast and didnt want to come back haha. Gettin back in the groove of things today. Gonna hit the gym here in a little bit and do some cardio later in the afternoon today. Got some damage control to do lol

My wife, kids and I went down south for a week at New Years. I know how you felt bro, the last morning I was there totally sucked... lol

I hear you there brother. This was our first vacation. Basically we used our 5 year wedding anniversary/my birthday as a reason to just go. We'd been talking about it for a few years and finally just decided to say fuk it and go.

Ha yeah it was horrible. It didnt help we spent 2 hours on a public bus and down in the ghetto but thats a whole nother story
 
Hit chest today for one of those do my own thing on the fly workouts. Decided to test my bench strength and see where im at. Was pleasently suprised. Everything except flat bench was short rest periods between 30-45 seconds. Took 2 mins on flat bench sets. Chest is SMOKED right now.

Ha right? I was seriously shocked I planned on staying in the 250 range but 250 and 275 felt kinda light so I figured I might as well try 315. I havent had anything heavier than 225 on the bar in forever so it was a nice change. I will say that my rest on that last set was longer. Got called to the day care because the kid had to go pee lol. So I dont know how long the rest was but def. Longer than 2 mins. Still happy with it though.

Thanks dudes! I honestly didnt think id be anywhere in the 315 ballpark for 3. I guess all the added carbs and rest last week did some good lol. Except for around my wasteline haha.

A couple post vacation nudes to show the damage. I can see a didference in my mid section and definitely lost alot of vascularity in my upper chest delts and arms. Like I said before I dont think I drank a single cup of water the whole time I was there so I think my body is holding onto every drop I put into it now. Lots of cardio and volume in the next couple weeks to close this thing out. These will be the last nudes until the end of this log im thinking. Im sure you guys are getting tired of them haha

Yeah im not too upset about where I ended up after vaca. Planned on eating better than I did but I would have starved lol EVERYTHING was deep fried or straight bread or covered in sugar and butter lol I was kinda bummed though all I wanted was a fukin doughnut but apparently they dont make those in mexico lol back on track and on the grind now and feel great about it. and ive tried fixing my pictures haha no beuno.

Agreed. If the iphone had a bigger screen it wouldbt even have been a contest. I messed with an I5 and the other day and im so used to this now that it felt like I had to squint to see stuff on it. Only thing the SG4 has over the iphone IMO

It was funny though because she's never really seen me in the gym and she said if she didnt know I would scare her lol and she didnt know I was so veiny haha. We only get to spend a morning or two through the week together so we go to the gym together sometimes but she always only does cardio. But today decided she wanted to lift so arms seemed like the best option for her.

She's trying break 200.

She started using sumo and pulls 195 (I think). Squats 185 and benches 135.

Although, she has a rotator cuff issue (that she's had for about a year) so we have to work around that.

I think she couldnt finish out a set or something and laughed about it and I yelled at her that it wasnt funny to fail at something and give up...she stuck to cardio after that lol im much more patient now.i guess having kids will do that to you.

Off day today. Back down in the 204 range this morning. Got back down alot faster than I expected

When I got my wife started it was with this simple program 3 times a week.

Assisted Chins 3x10-15
Assisted Dips 3x10-15
Squat Machine 3x10-15

Then moved her to alternating between that and this each time she went in. I had her follow these up with 30 minutes cardio of her choice.

Chest Press Machine 3x10-15
Seated Row Machine 3x10-15
Leg Press Machine 3x10-15

This was the least intimidating but full body affecting workout that she would not need me to coach or assist her with. I had her do that then go do her cardio. After about 2 months she was making good progress and wanted to know what else she could do to make better progress. The hardest part is that they don't want to be "Coached" by there significant other. It makes them feel subservient especially when they don't really know anything. Let her develop some sense that she has a base to work from and confidence then she may be more willing to learn. Even if not doing that 3 times a week and always trying to do more or become stronger she will make huge strides in physique.
