Invalid Link Removed start off with pics of my journey over the last year and a half. I was 39 very overweight on blood pressure medication along with anti depressants and for a short time an anti anxiety med. At the time my youngest daughter was 2 and really looked up to me. I talked with my father whom I had just met for the first time and he told me that he had 2 heart attacks in his mid 40s. Not only did I not want that but I also wanted to be a positive role model for my children and wanted to be around to watch them grow up. My wife got me a gym membership and I started doing some training, then I came across AM and was able to get incredible advice from people that really knew what they were doing, along with plenty of motivation and support. My training and diet really took off at that point. I also recently started a motivational fitness group on Facebook so that I may help others who don't quite know where to start or just need that extra motivation to get to the gym each day or turn down foods that are unhealthy for them. In the future I would like to open my own supplement shop here and eventually open my own gym!!

^^^ nice journey man. Keep up the good work. Ill how to make time tomorrow to throw my entry in too. Motivation!

I have been on a fitness journey for several years. I have been lifting since 13years old for football, 27 years old Now. I have always been a fat kid but I have always loved physical activity. I am about 5'8" and was around 225-240 in high school depending on the time of year and when I got to college I put on the freshman 45. I shot up to 285 lbs and was disgusting. I got out of college, didn't lift, didn't diet, was not motivated whatsoever. One day I met a friend I hadn't seen for several years and they were literally disgusted by my appearance and that made me want to focus on my diet. I trained hard , no supplements, mostly running several miles a day and eating under 1000 calories and sometimes way less. Lifting for 2-3 hours a day and running 5-10 miles a day on top of that. I lost 55lbs in under 2 months and with that went lots of muscle mass. A friend one day turned me on to a Flex magazine and it changed my life as far as bodybuilding bc I never knew anything about it besides steroids and big muscular guys lol. I changed my diet and started to eat more and lift more taking In tons of calories. I def got more muscular but I also got back up to 255. I never had abs nor thought I ever would have abs. I was always "The Fat Kid". Well another friend of mine gave me a PDF file of a Skip LaCour training and dieting manual. Well that literally changed my life for leaning out. I started a high protein and low carb diet, eating good fats, and training smarter. I eventually went from 255 to 200 ish with abs. Since this day I still try to learn and build my body but I still consider myself that "Fat Guy". I recently started messing around with that Colt like training called "Crossfit" and actually was able to do a 50" box jump which I never thought I could Do. I love this type of training along with body building bc it pushes me to another level of personal strength. So my next obstacle in my physical fitness journey is to compete in Crossfit competitions. But don't worry I still hit the gym minimum 5 days a week and lift bodybuilding style to keep my gains.

I have a long ways to go still but it's a lifestyle with no ceilings.

Nice story man. Great transformation.

Both of the above are awesome stories, bump for more inspirational success stories!

Great success stories above! Here's a take on my own journey..

In high school, I was a pretty talented multi-sport athlete & even having a chance to play some college ball, but I decided it wasn't really all the worth for just some D2 ball so I opted out. Never really was "big" in high school.. but I was a fairly stocky kid & had a little strength. I was pretty into lifting throughout high school, but only for sports. Plus, I didn't have grasp of the nutritional aspect of it so my gains & recomp were limited. Anyways, I graduated high school, started college, got a part time job & began the adult world. At this point, I was just way too busy (in my mind) for the gym. Near the end of my freshman year of college was a pretty rough rockslide. A 3 year relationship fell apart, my parents were on the verge of a divorce, I was getting drunk & high to ease the pains, & eventually I physically wasn't feeling well. I was to the point where I was having an all day bloat, trouble urinating, fatigue, & just a horrible sense of well being. This went on for about 6 months, during which I was seeing multiple doctors with no answer. I honestly thought I was going to die.. It was that bad. I had to quit my job, take off spring quarter & basically laid bed rest besides doctor trips. At this point, I was a measly 170 pounds, no appetite, no motivation. Through tons of tests & scans, I finally got word that they saw something in my bladder & decided to go in. I had a very large abscess just growing in there, which the 20 year practicing surgeon had never seen before, and they had to cut out & remove. After that, things started to look up. Once I was got healed up, I decided I was going to turn my life back around. Honestly, the gym is what re-saved me. From then on, I've used what happened as motivation, as I never want to go through that again. I am grateful for the fact that it wasn't something as serious as I had expected, & I express my appreciation through a barbell. It has been about a year & a half since I got better, & I have devoted so much into my body since that point, not only as far as muscle building, but healthy living. This is a then & now picture from around the time I was sick until a few days ago. Before picture around 170, now I'm sitting around 190. I am happy to do this all naturally, besides a non-methyl DHEA cycle a few months ago. I plan to continue my passion for this lifestyle for as long as I can.. Now let's hear some more stories!

Congrats Pow Wow! Great story. I find that many people I interact with have great stories to share whether that be weight loss, overcoming adversity or overcoming health issues and these stories are what we can use to push ourselves even harder in everyday activity; including gym life.

So congrats to all of you for your success, whatever form that may have been :D

Over the last few months I've been following along and hearing all of the rumors about glycophase... This thread is what really got me started into tease arching gda's more. Invalid Link Removed
As I read up on more and more gda's as well as their individual ingredients I became more intrigued by this product and eagerly awaited the profile and finally the release... In the mean time I began to try some others out just to wet my appetite as well as to see how/what worked for me. Just a few weeks ago it was finally released and BOOM a promo popped up to log it before it even hits stores... Obviously I jumped all over the chance to get on this and wouldn't you know it I actually got it! Now I'm patiently(sort of) awaiting the ar***** of my package and hope to start up my log next week. The promo thread was a great time as well ha... Pop tart and ice cream conversation was abundant and now I'm craving all the carbs I haven't had while cutting even worse then normal haha.

The review that I read that really made me want to try another product from SNS was the review written on Focus XT by Dirty Dan as well as the one that you wrote Mack (not butt kissing, his review was very thorough). Couldn't wait to try it after reading those 2 and really enjoyed the short time that I did use it. I even decided to start logging it. I was only able to run it for a short time as I started a sponsored log, but as soon as that is done, I will be returning to Focus XT as well as my log on it!!

Bump for more entries!
