a lil out of sorts today..getting set to wail on da wheelz..already skewing my chosen training routine lolllll.. :D

breakfast: 750cals
5oz ground turkey
2 whole eggs
1.5c kashi + 1tbs honey + 1c almond milk
small grapefruit
 
and a nice lil pic to end the week with, was small snack I fit in this day

Looks good minus those little green trees ya got there :) Out of curiosity why don't you count veggies in totals? Do you count fruits and fibers towards your carb total?

Fiber doesn't count toward calories/carbs. You just poo it right on out. Fruits should count because of the sugar content though. That's how I see it.

I should have been born as the hulk, as much as I like green, eh? :D
most green veggies do not have caloric impact, pure & simple (peas obvious exception off the top..)
since all I eat is mainly green veggies, no need for me to count em
as for fiber: I do not count fiber that I take straight (psyllium husk) however I do not break it down if it is in a portion of food or shake
fruits I will count, sure - even grapefruit
stuff like bcaas, nope - and I still get in arguments to this day with ppl who swear up & down bcaa=4cals
(more like 2.75 at a guess, but -- why bother counting this? net impact is zilch)

the idea on greens: since they are so hard to digest, and have such little caloric value to begin with, conceivably (you can picture this) they can have negative-cal impact (of course there is no such thing as negative calories, but you get the idea)

back to blood sugar: this does not mean go out and gorge on sugar alcohols (since they love to advertise that crap has "minimal impact" on glucose levels)
look at each gram of sugar alcohol, as 2cals worth of sugar..doesn't quite work out that way, but trust me when I tell you, sugar alcohols are NOT harmless
(not to mention the effect they have on some ppl's guts - like mine uggh) :thumbsdown:

You know it's funny I was just gonna ask you yesterday about the difference between sugar and sugar alcohol. I'm a big fan (or was) of the life saver mints. In pretty sure the hidden ingredient is crack cocaine lol so I was gonna start buying the "sugar free" ones until I read that back and it said sugar alcohol kinda confused me a bit. I just put them down and kept moving on lol

for some, this is basic stuff..i try to put info out there for all kinds of folk tho, from all levels of bb'ing/dieting experience and education

glad it helped! as for gum/life savers with sa's tho - a little bit, no worries
it's more substantial amounts that are detrimental - like in protein bars and such

and - be on the lookout for those preWOs and such, that have the catch-phrase sugar-free but are chock full of "hidden glucose polymers"..(I will not mention any names here)

There's no moderation for me when I break into gum or those life savers mints lol ill smash a pack of gum or a big bag of those in 2 hours tops....so I just stay away lol

Thank you for the knowledge man! A lot of us eat that sh!t up, pun intended. I can relate too, i chew gum while at work all the time. It helps control cravings and boredom.

I called rapid body changes happening soon yesterday..really, thought this take hold in 2-3 days, was thinking Monday, but - my goodness guyz, stark and startling changes overnight, musta been fueled by my insanely good back session yesterday, I mean the garage was so full of my sweat when I was done I had to bust out my canoe and row over to the door back to the house! :blink:

i'm not really trying to make quick progress, altho I can certainly do so and not sacrifice muscle over the short time..kinda perfected that art thru the yrs
it's just everything coming together..body healed and able to get intense again..mental side buckling down for the task at hand..food changes to everything has a place/reason/purpose behind it..and of course, dropping the hormonal action into play with 1-Alpha + 1-Andro

and - no more experimentation..was fun while it lasted
I know what works for me, and it's time to put everything out there and go by the tried & true blueprint
I will tell you this: i'm a lil smarter this prep, and I do think I've got every aspect nailed down..last few pieces became clear earlier this yr; now, I just gotta execute - and THAT is the easy part ;)

13 weeks today to showtime, ifbb north american natls in pittsburgh, august 30/31..will be cutting it close
this is one of only two possibilities left this yr to get my pro card - if I don't do it this yr, then I gotta go back and win another spot from a regional show that gets me qualified to try for another pro card qualifier..uggh, no - it's now or never
the other option is end of November, but it doesn't quite fit timeframe, plus it's in florida and i'd have to fly..again no
13 weeks - or snag retires from the stage

yeah I only started competing in my 30s, but I am not excited about competing anymore - the real fun for me is in the prep, the work - the sweat/the pain/the pushing yourself to points you didn't think were possible..and watching that body change

as for getting all tanned up and being run out there like a circus sideshow, at someone elses arbitrary time schedule..ehh, I've had my fill

BUT - been a longtime goal of mine to nail a pro card, so it is what it is :shrug:
 
dayummm..ridiculous changes o/n, stuff is snow-balling.. :hammer:
no pics, keep ya'll in suspense for real

was moderate carb day yesterday combined with tennis - on the down side, gooood golly was my stamina crushed during the session..gonna take a few sessions to get back to where i need to be again
high carb day today, will be ~400-500..cals slimmed down to 3850 starting tomorrow for extended time, will be a bit higher than that this day tho

getting ready for a chesticles/tricep session, maybe throw some abs in as well
my routine is rolling now rather than set, as mentioned, so i cannot lay out a guideline..this is actually the way i prefer to go, and will allow me to put in isolation work where i desire, hit the arms a few more times monthly as well as some other bodyparts that need attention

i'm starting to get excited - always love a big challenge, and 13 weeks to try to add a bit of muscle yet while ending up ~3% bf is a large order indeed..i'm up for it tho! :)

SUPPS:

Cell Shock (will move to CreaTrona at some point)

ALC+CLA (will be in for duration)

1-Alpha + 1-Andro (1-Andro portion will increase weekly, and i plan on staying on these all the way home, may add methyl toward end but i am leery of those as they have given me issues in past, so we'll see..550 and EpiV still in the cupboard, will add those at appropriate time)

Max Pump + Ignite2 (preWO stack, MP taken daily)

Px Black + PX500 (running the combo for synergy, 1 cap each 2x daily)

G8 (recovery @ night, been off this for awhile so ready to rock 5on/2off for extended time)

and of course multivite/fish oil/and "emergency supps" on hand if needed
