Agree with everything that's been said thus far.

I don't think there's anything in there that would affect color, off the top of my head.
 
Thanks everyone for your input. I'll give it a go and see how it turns out. The tat is eight years old so worse case is I get more ink :)
 
We have plenty of customers that spread it all over their ink...never had any reports of problems.
