breezy's training, supplementation, and food log

GD blew up in here like crazy. Gone for a couple days and there's like 10 more pages! You popular sunuffa B

Lol welcome back. It's been a busy couple of days.

Food looks mouth watering. I love the chicken sausage you find at trader joes. I use it for protein for breakfast mostly. Threw some in wheat pasta we cooked up for Friday.

Thanks fumoney. I use it for everything haha. Spicy jalapeno and sun dried tomato basil are always in my fridge.

Same! -- Are you doing keto and IF now!?

Nice. Do you have to keep fats fairly low to stay within your calorie target?

Yes I am. I wouldn't consider IF a "diet" though. It's just convenient for me to eat that way currently.

Spicy one is definitely my favorite. Trader Joes is so much better than Whole Foods !

It's my favorite as well. I've only been to Whole Foods a few times and it's been over a year since, but TJ's is definitely awesome...I'm there about 4 times per week haha.

I woke up with a sore throat and very congested, but couldn't pass up some HIIT at the track/field due to the weather. It was a beautiful 70 degrees and sunny when I arrived.

1 cap AP
2 caps PowerFULL
2 caps AnaBeta Elite
2 scoops OEP powder

1 heaping scoop Modern BCAA+ when finished (I'm addicted to the watermelon flavor :)).

HIIT:

Track
-2 laps: jog
-4 laps: sprint straightaways/jog corners

Field
-5x 100 yd shuttles (25 yd x4) w/30 sec rest periods
-13x 50 yd sprint / 50 yd jog/walk

Track
-1 lap: jog/walk

Not really. I actually bumped my calories UP some because of how fast I was losing weight. I aim for 3000-3200 Cal/Day with an avg of 300P/200F/30C(MAX) - sometimes its adjusted up/down with fat and protein. And I just weighed in this morning at 200lbs flat - my original goal... Might bump the cals up slightly higher!

Cool, I didn't realize that you were consuming that many calories. It makes sense after seeing your workouts . Congrats man! I had to bring my calories up as well.

I'm wondering if I have what you have.
Head heavy, slight sore throat. Super congested, and coughing up green stuff constantly.

I know yellow or green means infection.

I felt this coming on last night and I'm feeling it today..

How long have you been sick for

It's not too bad at this point. I started getting a sore throat last night and woke up not feeling great. I've felt better as the day has progressed and just have a minor sore throat.

That is some great HIIT training... Really nice field you have to work with too.. envious of that.

Thanks wasme. It felt amazing to get out in the sun on one of the warmest days of the year (I was sweating like crazy). The field is awesome. It's a top-notch turf and track. Having the cones there was a plus as well.

I wish I had a field/track to do my cardio work on! Super jealous

That's about where I'm at.

OK, Breezy has not flipped the script. Mr No cardio to keep up with my pace b!tches. Of course we had no doubt you would take it up a notch in this area as well.

Disappointing TJ trip. No cookie butter. Under stocked TJs in this yuppy neighborhood ? WTF ?

Got a ton of protein though. Uncured turkey bacon , chicken patties (pre cooked - these are simple and amazing. Literally no carb and 24 G protein per patty), ton of chicken sausages. Got some apple flavored ones to change things up a bit.

Haha no cardio today...maybe later lol.

Always disappointing. That happened to me today with asparagus and ground turkey patties.

Nice haul. I got some frozen chile lime chicken burgers last week that are delicious (first time I'd seen them). The apple sausages are good, but don't go very well with a lot of the stuff that I've been making lately.

What are the brand of chicken sausages you buy

Trader Joes brand.

What was I drinking ? This makes no sense at all.

5/11/13

After my carb up on Wednesday, I was able to get back in ketosis last night (according to ketone testing strips). I was surprised that it happened that fast.

Today’s session was a big shoulder beating (and chest work). Every week, I keep discovering a new way to get the most extreme delt pump that I’ve experienced.

Machine Press (neutral grip)
2 warm-up x12
200x12
200x12
200x11
200x11

-1 sec stretch (raised sternum) /1 sec hard flex

-strict form (stopped right before it started to break)

Pec Minor Dip / DB Bent-Over Side Lateral Raise
BW+25x10 / 15x20
BW+45x10 / 15x20
BW+45x10 / 15x20
BW+45x10 / 15x20

Here’s my fourth set. It shows a better example of Pec Minor Dips than the video I had previously posted (I used a narrower grip and my chest wasn't shot).

Hex Press / Band Pull Aparts
55x10 / 10
55x10 / 10
55x10 / 10
55x10 / 10

-“smash” weights together and flex hard on hex press

-2 sec flex/hold on pull aparts

6 ways / Band Over and Backs
10x10 / 20
10x10 / 20
8x10 / 20

-This was ridiculous. My delts were already smoked when starting and I could barely raise the band over my head.

Breezy still killing it. Idk how you guys do the keto thing...low carbs destroys me.

Thanks bolt. These recent workouts have been some of the most fun (and painful) that I've had in a while. Me neither lol. I don't really see it being a long-term thing; it's more for the experience. The carb ups are always something to look forward to as well. :)

Ya I remember the glory of carb ups when I ran UD2.0 a couple times. Was amazing haha

5/12/13

All supersets were done on 30 seconds rest.

Rope Pushdown / 1.5 Cable Curls
130x15 / 100x10
130x15 / 100x10
130x14 / 90x10
130x13 / 80x10

-1.5 Curls: full rep and then a half rep out of the bottom = one rep...the pump.

Cable Extensions (Rope) / Cross Body Hammer Curls
40x10, x5 partials / 40x10
40x10, x5 partials / 40x10
40x10, x5 partials / 40x10
40x10, x5 partials / 40x8

-Cable Ext: Grab one end of the rope, face away from the weight stack, and let your arm come across your body. Extend your arm and flex your triceps.

-partials out of stretched position

BB Preacher Curl (3 sec neg) / Incline BB Extension
70x8 / 70x12
70x8 / 70x12
70x8 / 70x12
70x8 / 70x10

-increased stretch (behind head) each set with extensions

LISS will be done shortly.

This was taken right after waking up this morning. I noticed a vein running across my shoulder that wasn’t visible yesterday. The tops of my forearms and lower abdomen are showing increased vascularity as well.

Someone marked your biceps with a thick green line. I would go get that guy if I were you.

Nice simple and clean arm workout. Great job Breezy. Yeah, 1.5 on cable.....I can feel the acid build up already.

Mirin that big ole vein bro

Thank you fumoney. I have legit bicep DOMS today.

Awesome stuff brotha! Looking realllll vascular. I'm kinda jealous.. not gonna lie

Thanks man. I'm sure you're not too far off.

Mirin that big ole vein bro

Thanks Matty. Congrats on your show man. I couldn't make it, but a few guys from my gym competed/watched and said you looked great.

:)

5/13/13

Seated Leg Curl
2 warm-up x10
100x12
120x10
140x8
140x8, 80x8, 50x20

-very strict form: had someone hold my lower back/hips down, so hamstrings did all the work.

Safety Bar Squat (explosive)
2 warm-up x6
245x6
265x6
275x6
285x6

-Finished +10lbs from last week. Explosiveness was still pretty good.

-I just realized that I don't know the exact weight of the bar. I'm guessing that it's 65lbs. The weight shown is with 45lbs bar weight.

Leg Press
2 warm-up x8
720x8
720x8
720x8
720x8

-3 sec negative

-constant tension (3/4 lockout)

1.25 Hack Squats
180x10
200x8
200x7, 140x6, 90x8

-constant tension (until last leg of drop set)

-I made sure to take these as deep as possible (without bottoming out). I was surprised and happy to add a couple of reps to the last two legs of my drop set.

BB Stiff-Legged Deads
145x15
145x15

-25lb plates used for increased depth/stretch

LISS later today.

I have legs tonight. This will push me to give that extra effort. Great job Mr Brzy !

I'm getting nervous already.

Killer leg workout... those 1.25 hacks under constant tension must have wrecked your legs...

Same here, really got it today at work too. Kleenex hanging on office with my name on it. Paper towl for 'the big tears'... I say the Bruins better kick some a$$ so tomorrow I can get my revenge! lol

I get legitimately jealous every time I go into a training log on here and someone uses the safety squat bar. I want one and may have to buy one. :o

Ya I hate your log. Always SSB this SSB that.

It is next on my list of things I am stockpiling as I slowly build to my own place one day. :D

The drop set is one of the most brutal things that I've done...I just keep hoping that I won't pass out lol.

1 period to make something happen.

They're pretty sweet. Not sure why, but I haven't seen anyone else use it...maybe the night crowd does.

I just get jealous when breezy posts a pic.

You've made great progress as well bud.

Great workout bro! Good luck to you guys tonight, we're gonna need it too!

Thanks man. The B's could really use some luck ASAP.
