RUSH954 GOES IN WITH 1 ALPHA AND EPI-V

I would like to get to 225 and be at or around 15% bf and then do the cutting phase in proper fashion. I'm learning by watching and reading all you guys..
you're not learning that by watching me :nono: .. so much for brother from another mother

not that there's anything wrong with that approach, but it's not one i personally care for
i don't even like getting to 10% :28:

After last summer I wouldn't cut that low ever again. Takes forever to get the weight back on.

It's an idea. I'm over 10% now closer to 17% to be honest. Last time I was even close to 10% I was playing basketball in J.C. And I was at 12% then. Performance wise I feel that 10-12% is ideal. If I can gain weight and remain as fast or better than before I will be happy. To get under 10% is a goal that would be attainable a few months down the line even as far as next winter. I haven't made a decision as of yet. I'm hoping I can have pics taken today to check for any changes from start date to current date.
snags to keep under 10% and be your size is a blessing. Your truly a beast and someone who's opinion holds weight in my book.

wow, thanks much for the kind words rush :)
on the one hand, i do realize i have decent genetics..on the other, it is easy to take yourself for granted at times
quite honestly - i am always looking to improve myself, never am i satisfied

Yes athletically I am like better off at higher body fat than I am or even maintain lately. I played all contact sports mostly though but my speed is still good at around 225-230. I may have become accustomed to being leaner now but not this lean.

I am the same way. At close to 200lbs at 5'8" i can put a hurting on someone on the football field. When im 185 or so where i usualy sit im not nearly as effective.

Will update today. I have been busy with school and work and family. I haven't given up on my log just need to add days online. Finals coming up this week so will be swamped with last minute studying

As long as your still slanging weight bud! Good luck on those finals.

So I'm officially ten pounds up this morning from start which is great. Weighed in at 210.7 this morning. I'm surprised at the amount of size I've increased. Looking bigger in the back area and chest specifically. I've been really busy preparing for finals for classes an hitting the iron. I've missed only one workout in the past two weeks due to last minute preparations for finals but its almost over and I'm excited.
My 1 Alpha experience has been excellent. No sides to complain of other than crazy endurance, super fast recovery and good weight gain. I say good weight because I feel I've gained lbm and not just bf increase or a bloated feeling from water weight. I've actually dropped bf by 2% while on 1Alpha. My strength gains were decent as I didn't really try for many 1RM's. my main concern was high intensity and high volume to try and get some better definition while increasing in size. Tomorrow I will start my bridge into Epi-V and training/ diet will change up. I will be using Kris Gethen's DTP throughout the month. All workouts are in a superset fashion.
I'm hoping to take some pics tomorrow to show changes from start date. I'm only to the middle and plan to finish strong. So excuse me for the lack of log days and I will be finishing stronger than ever.

Day 32 weight was 210.3 this morning upon waking.
Yesterday I worked hams, hips and calves.
Boy was it intense. I started with 10 mins on the bike for a warm up. I'm trying to build a more solid back so I am doing at least 40 pull ups every session until this month is over.
I started my workout with single leg, leg curls
5 sets of 8-12reps.
I then did 5 sets of walking lunges with 40lb dumbbells.
Stiff legged deadlift
5 sets of 10
Wide stance hack squat only heals on platform.
4 sets of 12 reps
The hack squats were brutal wide stance. My feet were literally barely on the platform. I went all the way down until the machine didn't allow anymore.
4 sets of ab and ad ductor each done at 15-20 reps
Hip kickback
4 sets of 10 each leg
Standing calve raises
5 sets of 20
Seated calve raises
4 sets of 20
Bw calve raises in between sets.

After training I played a few full court basketball games for cardio.
Calories will now be at 2800 on non workout days
And up to 3500 on workout days
Current supps
Multi v
Fish oil
D3
BCAA
Glutamine
Glucosamine and chondriton
2 epi v and 2-1 Aplha split
Up one a piece in am and pm
Before bed
Zma
Melatonin
Extra sleepy time tea

Nah, I think winter # 4 or whatever is coming soon. Every time it starts warming up it snows and gets cold again...

Thank goodness I don't have to deal with all that winter stuff anymore lol.

Its getting nice n warm around here. Then cool. Then warm. Next week itll probably be 110. LOL

So here's the weekly update. I have been bridging into Epi-V for the past week today being my last day of that. I have been still lifting with a very high intensity and with high volume. I weighed in this morning at 212.4 which is a whole lot from the first day. All I can say is that the 1 Alpha was great to me. I honestly didn't expect for the weight to come on so fast. My endurance was great and I have been able to recover faster than I normally would. This marks the middle of this run and I am really excited for the second month of the Epi-V. No libido loss or sides to mention at all. Another great finaflex product. I have switched workouts for the last four weeks and will be working antagonist muscles groups. 10 minute warmup before and 15 min of cardio. I'm also going to re incorporate carb cycling for the remainder of this run. I will be posting workouts again an hopefully some update pics tonight as its my last day of school and work. I plan to at least update 4 times a week starting again tonight.

There is a real growth spurt with 1-alpha then it settles into more steady gains. The only thing about it I find is that you can really do too much and have to be careful a lot of people got colds and stuff while on it.

This week was a great week bridge seems to have went well. Strength remains about the same. I'm taking 4 epi-v daily. 2 am and 2 pm.
I have started to work antagonist muscle groups.
I have been training with high volume every other day. Cardio is on off days and in the form of sprints or basketball.
Yesterday I weighed in at 211.4
I'm managing to keep the weight consistent and will try to drop bf while not losing too much weight. Carb cycling is in full effect right now. Doing 2 to 1 ratio.

Yesterday was legs
Started on leg extensions 5 sets 15,15,12,10,8
Leg press 15,12,10,8,6 last two sets were best for me 900lbs was very tough.
Then I did another four light sets of leg press 15,12,10,8,6
A second set of leg extensions back not on pad an chest up close to the front 15,12,10,8,6
Lunges bw *50lb DB full length of gym x4 up and down.
Hamstrings
Seated leg curl
15,12,10,8,6
Lying leg curl
15,12,10,8,6
DB stiff legged deads
15,12,10,8,8
Started at 40lb DB and went up 10lb DB every set
6 sets of standing calve raises
All 15 reps each
Two sets with feet straight, two sets toes touching and feet pointing out and two sets heels touching.

lol. no tricks at all here. I've decided to stick to what is and has been working for me to date. Snags I've decided to try to get in competition shape. I will be training hard as possible for next years NPC Southern states. Realistic goals for me to achieve IMO. I've never competed in Bodybuilding and have hired someone to help me achieve the best possible shape in a years and three months time. I'm sad theres no more Snags log for me to stalk and learn from.....lol

awesome my man! get behind that commitment and smash!
i think you can do well, given the timeframe you are looking at, you've got a great base with which to work
as for my logs, lol, yeah time to retire for awhile for me :D
i always come back tho

Now there's a commitment I remember when I first got the bug, I had help back in the old days and then tried a couple times on my own. This time Steve is giving me a hand and I'm working my butt off.... I registered for the Masters and Grandmasters today.

I'm glad to be on here with guys whom are dedicated. I am learning a lot from you D.W. and of course Snags as well. I'm excited about my commitment and can visualize my goals. Go willing one day I will be finaflex sponsored.

D.W. you will great I am counting an following your log very closely although I may not be adding very many comments. Thanks guys for the help its greatly appreciated.

Thanks the fine details I have been listening to Steve. I figure if I am going do things his way I better try and do it to a tee. What's the point of taking only half someones advice. He obviously has a plan in mind and look how it's working. Some small misteps on my part but pretty smooth over all if you don't count flu's, colds and bad weather.

Bottom line is you listen to people that know more than you do. That's how you learn things. I will say I knew a lot the stuff already but either forgot a lot of it or didn't really want to remember. It's fuggin tough, no easier softer way ... I know I looked.

Had chest and back and I killed it today. felt great and was all over the place with energy.

Today's weight was 211again. Had a very good shoulder workout today. Epi-V is definitely in the system and its on point. I look like I'm leaning out slowly but surely. My appetite isn't to great as of late. Salt free for the most part.
My shoulders is an area in which I feel I need a lot of work so I train shoulders with high volume and as heavy a weight as possible. Also been using 10-12 sets of shrugs to try to get a move on the process. My body is fried for sure as I'm logging from my bed already.

Warmed up with neutral grip pull ups.
4 sets until failure
Rear delt on machine
2 warmup sets
15,12,10,8,6
Weights increasing each time
Seated machine shoulder press
15,12,12,10,8,6
Weights up by 25lb increments
Behind the neck shoulder press
15,12,10,8,6
Side and front DB raises
15,12,12,10,8,6
Wide grip upright rows
15,12,10,10,8,6 set a PR with the 120lbs on EZ curl bar for 8 reps.
Shoulder shrugs
12 sets
2 warm up sets of 15
6 working sets
4 high rep sets

Overall the quality of my workouts is getting better. My focus and motivation are on point. Training is getting better and better as this goes one. Epi-V has a great effect on my morning workouts. Found a great am protein mix for myself to get through fasted am workouts.

Sad moment last weekend torn ligaments in the right knee as well as cartilage issues. Tomorrow meeting with a orthopedic surgeon to book date. I have been limping in to complete workouts until today when I couldn't anymore. I felt the pain during a sprint session last Friday and continued to finish my workout. I'm highly upset and pretty down about the whole situation. I was told I will be out 4-6 weeks after surgery and hopefully recover faster than ever. I am continuing workouts as much as possible with machines and off of my feet to keep my upper body in as good a shape as possible without adding stress to my knee. Today I worked chest an back and I'm starting to be bothered by my leg.
I have plans to compete next yr in July. Sad moment as I will be ending my log earlier than anticipated.

Terrible news man. I've had three knee surgerys and while they still give me problems most of the time I can still train normally. You will bounce back and get on schedual again before you know it. Hope everything goes smooth for you.

Get well brother. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Ouch .. man I complain about aches and pains and nagging injuries but I am really fortunate when I think about it...

Just to update things are moving along. Surgery is close now. Early next month. I should be back up and running in 8 weeks. Sorry I couldn't finish my log how I wanted to. I have been still going to the gym all seated exercises just to keep my upper body somewhat defined. I have been in pct for close to a whole week and weigh 209.8 today. Overall I would have to say that finaflex has once again come threw with a home run with the 1 alpha. I'm ordering more epi-v and 1 alpha while I'm out. I enjoyed the ride and am sad to say I have to end it. I still have hopes of competing next year an my Ortho said it can still be accomplished if I rehab properly. I will definitely be lurking and taking notes here on AM while I'm out. Hope to be back soon. Thanks to all who followed, you guys are great motivation.

ahh holy shyte man, I just saw this..sorry to hear
been recuperating from surgery myself, but my recovery will be a bit quicker than yours
best to you going forward rush, it's been a pleasure following your log, and I know you will be back better than ever
take care

Good luck man. Hopefully you are back at it sooner then later. We will be here for any support u need.

:wave2:

Thank a million for the support guys. I appreciate and respect all of you. Will be back extremely soon. For now I will be following all of you in any and all logs.

Looking forward to your next log! Get well soon.

All the best...hope for a fast recovery.

Beast mode will be ON soon enough........

Back from the depths. Start to rehab next week. Still planning for first show to be in July 2014.

Guess who's back to training? Me oh yes. I'm working back in slowly but surely.
