how do you guys feel about cycling creatine?

What's your thoughts on this fellas? Is it needed ya think? And how long if you do? Does it vary with the different forms that are out now? I usually run MP creatine

Really it's your own preference. I don't cycle off creatine. I'm sure some forms may need to be cycled like MCC I think is one that needs cycled but forms like creatine monohydrate do not need to be IMO.

I think cycling is unnecessary. The only thing I do that would be considered close to cycling would be switching from GreenMAG or Clout back to creapure again.

MCC does not need to be cycled.

I'd just use built-in cycling. Workout days only at a reasonable maintenance dose (~3g). Going into the full-on 30 days off followed by loading and whatnot is actually associated with massive elevations in DHT due to PCr flux.

Once again, Coop helps me learn something again.

I use 2.5g daily of plain old Creapure. Have been doing so for over 2 yrs without cycling, although sometimes I forget and miss a day. I may cycle off creapure to try another form of creatine as I've been wanting to try MCC.

To be honest guys I've been on many types of creatine and I've never cycled I may take a week of if I'm swapping products but that's about it

I thought i read somewhere about creatine receptors getting over simulated without cycling? I could be wrong

Not possible, unless u vegaterian. Creatine is in all meats. A pc of chicken breast has 2-5g. So there is no real cycling or need to cycle.

But added.creatine will help bulk, no added creatine on cut, thats what i think about it

Why do so many guys say not to run creatine while on cycle then? I prefer to keep running it

Depends on the cycle, SD creates alot of up take to the muscle, creatine would be a waste, also pumps might be painfull.
Besides that, i think creatine mono stresses the kidneys if ur not drinking enuff water.

U would prob start creatine close to or right after cycle as part of pct, to try and keep gains

I run creatine year around, I do agree with cooper though. I only take it before and after workouts. Off days I still get enough through my red meat and food. Never noticed much benefit from supplementing creatine on off days just felt a little more bloated. When I use it pre/post only, it seems more utilized by my muscle and I get less water retention subq. I'll run it throughout my entire contest prep except for the last week no problem.

I was told to only take creatine after my workouts... Lol I'm
Learning how to take thus stuff, after my load phase of 25 g a day for 5 days I should take around 2.5 grams a days post works outs...

I think the best times for dosing are right away in the morning with a protein drink, and immediately after a workout

very debatable.

I choose to cycle creatine. Every 6 months i go a month or two off. i have my reasons and nobody believes me when i tell them why. ive told my story on here numerous times.

no need to load

nope. creatine is based on saturation, not timing.

Personally I recommend cycling creatine, no matter what type or brand as there are several benefits. When you are supplementing creatine, your body stops/slows down the natural production of it, so it's good to stop with supplementing to keep your systems regular. It's also good to give your liver a rest to flush out everyone once in a while( 3 months). When I cycle off creatine I also usually get off my pre-workout sups. Another benefit f cycling is to try and force your body to maintain the same weights without the creatine as you were pushing while on. If you can do this, when you go back on your weights will go up much higher than last time you were on. I also disagree with cycling as your body will become saturated regardless after a few weeks. There's no need to put extra stress on your liver to load

Ok so if I'm taking this right away in the morning and post work outs and 2.5 grams a day sounds right should I split that dose in haif ?? And I was also told to take creatine with grape juice IMF not just mix it in with my protein shakes??

If your taking a mono, you can take it pre and post workout. I would take 5 grams pre and 5 grams post. 2.5 grams a day is nothing! That will not keep you saturated. That's why I cycle, I do it right and then stay off it for a bit.

What is? Who do I beleave?? Guess ill have to figure it out myself... Loading phase for 5 day them maintain 2.5 grams a day for 8 weeks them a clense for a month... While loading ill take 25grams...

Cycling creatine. Your body utilizes it all the time to create ATP. The better you keep your creatine stores stocked the easier ATP creation will be. Now, I think that the daily amount is highly individualized. Also, I think it is dependent on whether you are natural or enhanced. Personally, with the increased protein synthesis of the enhanced athlete, I believe the threshold for daily creatine intake should be higher. Now the natural athlete will be lower. Personally, I use 10g while on and 5g while off daily.

Wow 10 grams a day... I was told by a number of ppl on here to take about 3 grams a day depending on ur weight

This is a topic of contention on many boards, and I've seen very well informed posts going both ways (high v. low, enhanced v. natural). Honestly, I probably err a little more on the high side, but considering the low cost of creatine. I don't see the down side.

I would do 10 grams on workout days, pre and post and then 5 grams on rest days. As for cycling, I think it's best for your liver and body to cycle and will also help your strength gains in the long run
