Mind Steriods or Noots

Give it a shot at 5-6 tabs per day for a couple weeks straight and see how it is. I don't think 5 days is long enough of a trial. I may pick some up again soon

Added 450 mg of pramiracetam to my aniracetam + CDP choline stack. Really positive right off the bat..great mood, focus, thought process, mental energy, but it all sort of petered out towards the afternoon and my mood went down a bit, got tired, took a nap, and called my mommy. Just kidding on the last part.

Has good potential for me, but need to work out the dose and dosing schedule. On the whole, Ani + CDP choline is treating me very well and I may just stick with the combo. Being a daredevil supplementarian, Im always trying to make great even better but experience has taught me to not let curiosity get out of control.

EDIT: May have spoken too soon on the addition of the Prami. Major insomnia last night so I have foregone taking it again today. Will try it another time, perhaps at a lower dose. No other negative sides though.

Bump on D-Serine.

For those who know a little bit about its MOA, could you enlighten me while I do a bit of research on it?

There is a thread on prohormoneforum by HenryV. HenryV is a rep for Pat, but also writes really informative articles, so it should be a good start for you. Ill give him a heads up in case he wants to pop in over here.

I am going to be playing with different nootropics and the like. Have focus XT on the way, once out of PCT will add in androdrive. Then looking into d-Serine and nootropics.

It's a full agonist of the glycine binding site of the NR1 subunit of the NMDA receptor. It's been shown to improve LTP, and also has implications for things like schizophrenia and depression (though obviously we are making no drug claims for our product).

I'm working up an article on the NMDA receptor and d-serine but it's unfinished.

Seems like it might have glycine-like effects, but I'd be curious to experiment with it.

Got school tomorrow night so heres to hoping my stack works! lol.

Saving a dose of aniracetam for an hour before too. Is aniracetam like the other tams where it gets better of time? I dont know about the newer tam(s). Ill have this with a 1/2 scoop of focus XT and save another 1/2 scoop on reserve for later in night. The class runs 6pm-10:30pm and is an intro to chemistry. argh, going back to school. hehe.

instead of dosing my 2nd 1/2 of my noot stack at noon i will be pushing it out to a mid afternoon, closer to when school starts. makes sense to me.

I'm not sure that taking ani before bed is going to do anything other than deplete your supply faster. It's best to take in the morning and then again in the afternoon. If you are like most responders to ani, you'll feel a bit of mental energy for 3-5 hours with a gradual taper off over the next few. There is no crash, but you do know when you are on it.

It does build in your system, but at about 1-2 weeks, it is maxed and won't continue to go higher. Myself and several others noticed it in 2-3 days.

Thanks a bunch, HenryV. LTP = Long-term Potentiation? Most of the studies I have read deal with depression or schizophrenia. Have there been any studies done on healthy individuals?

I'm putting together a nootropic stack to help with some professional exams.

DHA (Coming from regular fish oil)
Lion's Mane
CDP-Choline
Sulbutiamine
ALCAR

Might be looking into D-Serine, but concerned on safety.

Yeah, long-term potentiation. Healthy humans? I don't think so.

i was thinking if i take the 2nd dose say 2 hours before class which would be about 4pm for me then I could maybe get a lil boost from the mental energy? not before bed sorry if i worded that wrong.

before the change i was doing 7am and noon but will be moving the noon dose to 4pm or so.

Oh, yeah then. I would definitely take it before your class. I get up at 5am, but like to dose mid morning (9-10ish) and then 3-4pm. That makes for a good day and I wrap up around 8-9 so I can mentally unwind.

hmmm, i may try that later in day dosing. im up about 530-6am myself. I could prob dose before this morning snack I plan on having about 10.

thx again! appreciate the help! really dont want to go on a script for adhd.

ok this one may sound weird but....

looking for suggestions on best ways to preload and measure my bulk supps. right now using small tupper wares but they still a bit big. i can then just add the water and drink it down when im on the road. i dont think i want to do caps tbh.

any other suggestions? im on the road all day 2 days a week with school so packing up 2-3 doses a day of my noots most of them being in bulk.

Man you're brave! Chasing down straight powders? I've tried it and it's nasty, can't bring myself to do it. I've parachuted instead, when I don't feel up to capping, and even then I need to chase it down, especially choline, alcar and PEA. Nasty stuff.

I can shoot down some nasty stuff but tbh this combo is the worst. ptam, atam, subl with some cho. is pretty nasty.

I use to grab a couple of mini M&Ms and use those little plastic cylinders to transport my powdered goodness. Not sure if they still even make those though to be honest.

Anyone running or still running Idebenone? Thoughts for a study/learning aid?

I am enjoying my stack. Went back on it after I ran a log for another supp.

I recently ran out of idebenone. I liked it pretty well, but generally only took it every other day as ED would keep me awake. I think it would be great for cramming all night or before a test. Gave me a great boost in mental and physical energy.

I thought of idebenone. as being related to ubiquinol and not quite as good. What are it's separate noot abilities? I will look it up myself but getting ready for work now.

My stack of aniracetam, magnesium L-threonate, and ashwagandha is still working very well. My memory is better than it has ever been, and mental sharpness is equally high. I love the relaxed feelings from this stack.

What choline source are you using? Alpha-GPC or Citicoline?

I think I've ordered what may be my 20th bottle of Ani just now, and I cannot express my love for Alpha GPC enough. The combo is by far my top mental stack so much so that I have had no desire to look for alternatives.

I think I have the GPC in my focusXT. would need to check.

i love taking my focus stack also when i need to do chores around the house. lol.

It's just choline bitartate, but should be good enough to get you what you need.

I like Alpha GPC too. However, Citicoline has taken over for me.

I've never tried citicholine. I'll need to look into it, but it would have to be something special to pull me away from a-gpc. But, I am open minded about these things!

If you are benefiting from GPC that well, then don't fix what isn't broke. But, if you are ever looking for a switch up, definitely give it a chance.

Go out on Longecity and lurk. There is a fair number of people interested in LTP and they experiment on themselves. You cannot get any more cutting edge than that.

What professional exams are you working on? I'm picking up Spanish and it's going well so far.

Good deal, thanks. They are exams set by the Society of Actuaries--statistical modeling, probability, etc.

Today I started taking:
ALCAR: 500mg twice/day
Aniracetam: 750mg twice/day
Alpha GPC: 300mg twice/day

Will report back on results.

I also have some Noopept that I may add later. I also have some Citicoline that I might swap out for the Alpha GPC to see if there is any difference.

How long does this stuff normally take to kick in? I'm coming to end of week 3 of PCT and have never felt so good. I also tore ligaments in my shoulder at the weekend so can only do cardio and legs in the gym - and normally this would put me in a really bad mood!

I felt the effects on the first day. Definitely keeps anxiety at bay.

Aniracetam seems to have some very positive feel-good effects. I sometimes feel almost an esctacy (mild but noticeable)feeling for several hours while using it. I've added a couple of other mellowing type noots, and I like it.

And memory is great. Two weeks ago a couple of computers were accidentally shut down, and the person with the passwords was on vacation and couldn't be reached. I remembered the passwords that I had not seen for 3.5 years and restarted the computers. Dozens of things like that has happened to me the last few months since I have used aniracetam.

My personal experiences with ani are quite good.

I just picked up some Aniracetam, NAT, and Picamilon to add to my stack.

I see some more e-tailers have started carrying noopept. Will have to try this eventually. Ani has been decent for me though nothing to write home about.

You can take it in the day as well. The Jarrow Formula's MagMind brand recommends one capsule in the AM and 2 in the PM, but it can be taken whenever realistically. 3 caps before bed is awesome for me.

I recently added Bacopa to my Alpha-GPC and Ani stack with what could only be described as kick ass results. Ani and GPC have proven to be great for my mild anxiety and clears my mind to think in a more rational manner and collect thoughts. As I have mentioned in the past, for events that anxiety may be peaking, like speaking at conferences or similar, then 100mg of L-theanine is in order.

This all being said- the bacopa has really been a great addition. The focus that it brings really plays along nicely with the others. The ani and GPC calm me down and let me collect thoughts, while the bacopa allows me to have great focus and analyze my surroundings and what is being said/relayed to me. I also notice an additional relaxing effect, but I haven't figured out if that is just a result of feeling very confident in my thoughts and communication, therefore creating a relaxing effect.

No need to over analyze it, though. I like it and will be keeping it around.
