Has anyone ever used the captains of crush grip strength things? I've heard they work well but I'm not sure which level (weight) to get.
 
Just got back from the gym 8 pounds away from benching 300!!!! That may not seem like a lot to you big ****ers on here but I started out pushing bar with quarters at 17...

No you're not missing anything I am calculating my 1RM based on getting 225 for 9 today. That would make 292 my 1RM... I figure I'll get to 315 calculating 1RM, then load the bar up with 300 and go for one. Hopefully that will give me some wiggle room. When I've done the calculations previously, its been a low estimate, meaning I can usually push more. I MIGHT actually be able to get 300 now BUT getting a little over will help with some confidence : )

Dude you got 300 easy if you throw down 225 for 9... Just start getting use to heavy weight, do 275 a couple times get your muscle memory going.

26, so in 9 years with some time off for my military shiz, about 2 off when my son was born etc... I'd say prob a solid 3 years of real strict lifting, has given me 200lbs on my bench. Not great for most but with my genetics, AWESOME! My dad never dreamed of pushing 3 and he has always been bigger than me.

Hell yeah bro! I hear you on the genetics thing. I'm the only one in my whole family with any size

Valdez you got me pumped up for chest day bro! I may go in for maxes by the end of the week so I can have good starting stats for my 2 month PES run I'll be starting tomorrow. I'm going to try to get 300 for 1 too! :-)

Thanks bro! I think I can get 225 for 8 right now so maybe I'll only get 290-295 but I'll give it a go!

I started out @ 117lb ; ) at one point I was downing 4500 cals a day to gain a little weight. Not anymore tho the old metabolism started showing when I turned 26...

We were discussing the different views of like biological behavioral environmental, etc and what we thought of depression and different thought processes and **** like that so I don't really think it was like a "weeding out " kind of thing but really just to see where our knowledge of psychology is
