New & Improved Protocol Formula

Agreed. A lot of the small things have also been improved. Flavoring is even better and the mix ability is a lot better.

Out of curiosity, why the ditching of beta alanine? Also, I remember hearing some time ago (from some bright dudes) that agmatine pre-workout isn't its best application. Thoughts? Unfortunately I don't remember the explanation...

We just felt that COP offers the same buffering benefits of beta-alanine, while also providing cardioprotective properties as well.

Very interesting @ the agmatine; unfortunately, I can't speak to anything without the explanation... agmatine has ergogenic properties and also modulates NO, so I don't see why it shouldn't be used pre-WO.

Beta alanine is fairly inexpensive and could easily be added at preferred dose.

The same can be said about caffeine.

To add to my previous post Beta alanine is included in many popular products at a significant dose now a days. This is in no way the only product with COP but it is much less common, we are able to obtain our desired effects, and makes protocol that much more stackable!

Many people do not like BA tingles and if they are using another product with BA they may have been turned off to the original formula.

It is still a few weeks out. We are waiting on the labels, but that should go much faster than for SS v2 now that we have got the ball rolling with the company we are using.

I am not enjoying the wait either..

Hey Big game. We can only quote you what the facts are. The reason why a 2 week eta is standard is because we dont produce our own labels and we dont manufacture in house. Labels have yet to be delivered. Last Fridays meeting I was told the machine went down for a couple of days. Im now being told the machine is up and running and our labels are scheduled to be ran tomorrow. Once those labels are delivered to the manufacture then we get in line to have our bottles ran through the machine for labeling. Its the best we can do at the moment until we open up in house manufacturing next year. Then I can produce 100% accurate ETA based on our time and not someone else s. Just wanted to share the process a little in case you or another poster would find it interesting. I agree with you in you though. A big delay though was my fault These products should have been ready end of June at the latest but I decided to move the label design to a new company. The result was better labels but a longer wait. That was my decision and I apologize.

No problem and I appreciate the response. As soon as it gets released to retailers, I'll be first in line to place an order. So many good products you have coming out. I'm just anxious to try them all.

No problem at all brother I really appreciate the support. Your post and concerns are taken very seriously and we use them to improve the company. To prevent broken ETA's and to further improve shipping Genomyx will be moving into a much larger facility at the end of this year. Well then begin prepping and moving forward with establishing and taking all steps neccessary to begin manufacturing our products at Genomyx :) This is all from the help of you guys and even concerns raised by the team.

It's worth the wait, I havn't been disappointed with any Genomyx products and these new products coming out look amazing. The Slin Sane V2 + Decimate stack looks so damn impressive, can't really see any other nutrient partitioner or fat burner coming close to this combo.

I hear Protocol will be coming in Desert Punch.

You heard correctly, sir... It tastes as advertised, too, which is phenomenal when you consider the evolution of the product: lemon/lime was all right, but not great and cherry was much improved, but easy to grow tired of.

DP is coming along at the right time; very refreshing for summer. Mix a couple of scoops with about 12-16oz. water and a few ice cubes in a Magic Bullet... bliss.

2 questions about Protocol:

1.) Can it be taken intra-workout? Or is it best advised before/after?

2.) Would it be okay if I added something like unflavored Taurine and/or unflavored Creatine Mono/MCC powder to it?

1) Actually, with the new formula, we're advocating that it be taken pre-WO... However, it is versatile enough to be taken at any time, really; intra-, post-, or any other time during the day.

2) Absolutely. Sky's the limit with individual additions... Add a little caffeine and you have a solid stimmed pre-.

I still think cherry is great. My 8yr old daughter always wants to drink it whenever she smells it when I am.

In my opinion the new one is better with taurine. Some say BA and taurine should not be taken together because they compete for the same receptor. With BA removed you don't have to worry much.

If you want to add more creative you always can and it's cheap. I don't see much need though.

I will most likley do a scoop pre and scoop intra. The flavor is light and refreshing. I tried a scoop with 24+ oz of water and it reminded me of propel. Just a pleasant subtle flavor.

I am impressed with the new ingredient profile. I just thought bulk unflavored Taurine would be a great addition. I'll probably go ahead and even add some unflavored creatine mono. I like having the option to be versatile with this.

I don't like cherry flavoring. But desert punch is exactly what I like. Pre and intra is what I plan on doing with this as well. I am really excited for this product.

I liked the cherry flavor. But it seemed very dye heavy which I didn't like. The new flavor is not such a thick mouth staining color. Cherry also tastes like your trying to cover something up (children's meds) I think deep in my psyche I have a thing against over powering cherry flavors.

I always add WAY more water than recommended for any flavoring / flavored supplements. I just like a light taste.

Cherry makes me think of Vicks medicine.

Desert Punch makes me think of Ecto-Cooler :)

I want to cool my cactus with desert punch

I can't wait for this product!

I have about half a jug left of the OG and hope this shows before I'm out.

Looking forward to seeing how the new formula, especially COP helps me with my endurance in training too. I did love how well the new formula mixed in my sample!

You definitely need to try a Spartan Beast then move up to the Ultra Beast which is equivalent to 26 miles with obstacles ;)

But didn't we have the conversation about obstacles/getting muddy? LOL
I didn't love the obstacle course when I went through basic training... I did manage to make it across the water on the monkey bars.. nothing like water under you in January to motivate you not to fall..
Dirt I am good with.. mud.. eh.. :-D
Maybe I will think about it when you show me a spartan race pic where people aren't covered in mud!
I am kind of crazy.. I have really started to love to run.. don't mind sweating.. but I don't like mud.. and I don't go to the beach often because I don't like sand..

Seems like a lot of running and ducking and crawling and crying and yelling... for 12 miles, through 25 obstacles.

LOL.. just running is enough for me!

Sounds about right and the elevation of Utah doesnt help. Now that we have a sponsored athlete who does the Death Race(48hrs long) and the World Tough Mudders he will be able to record a ton of vids

Screw that, too... I get exhausted from driving.

Thought you did Crossfit :p

The new protocol will be following very shortly after salvia is released. Which is very soon. And decimate is on presale at nutra now!

Exactly what Mike said so hopefully by the end of this week Protocol will be ready to ship out. Salvia and DeciMATE are already on their way to NP

Got mine today and already had some. The flavor is unreal! Love it!
