DJBeanPole Enters Cut PHASE 3: Reduce XT & ALPHABURN

JULY 21st: LEGS

Today was a great day in the gym. I always go in to legs with a little gray cloud over my head because I feel like its my hardest day to get into the mood for. I feel like I can never lift good enough and the weight always feels extremely heavy. I woke up 2 hours earlier than I meant to and my body didn't want me to go back to bed. I always had a really upset stomach and I was strongly considering skipping out on the workout. One massive trip to the john and I was ready to go. Entered the gym extremely focused. So much so that my buddy asked me on the way there if I was in a bad mood because I wasn't speaking. And that is just how I get. When I finally get into the zone I get very quiet. Very focused. And probably look like an antisocial *******. In the gym its me and the weights. Not the hot girl. Not making fun of some other guys form. Not the ****ty ass music they play overhead. Just me and the iron. And thats how I like it.

Weight: I did weight myself, but I actually don't want to post the number because today I lifted in the AM versus early afternoon and I don't consider it a typical weigh in time comparison. :p!

LEG EXTENSION WARMUP: 95x12,10 just to get the blood flowing...

SQUATS: 135x20,20,20 Yea the weight is low but the reps were high... repeatedly. Huge pump. Felt great.

LEG PRESS: 225x12 315x10 405x10,10,10 Legs... so... STIFF!

SEATED CALF RAISES: 4XMM 100x10,10,10,20

HAMSTRING CURLS: 4XMM 100x10,10,10,12

GLUTE-HAM RAISE: BW+45x10,8

LEG EXTENSION: 4XMM 65x10,10,10,15

Cooldown was a nice 10 minute walk on the treadmill at 3.0mph at a 7.5% incline. Didn't pay any attention to the calories burned. Couldn't have been any more than 100 or so.

I have been trying lately to stick to my diet the best as possible (LeanGains) with the known anticipation that once the wedding/honeymoon rolls around it'll render me nearly incapable of actually sticking to the mealplan. I'm not going to force myself to fast and not have a good time while I'm celebrating the time of my life for one week. Today was the first time my parents (and youngest brother) have ever been to me and my fiance's house so we planned a huge cookout and I was really looking forward to it because I love grilling out and the weather was perfect for it. After hitting up the tanning salon and the grocery store, I was about 16 hours into my fast and nearly 2 hours post workout and my stomach just couldn't take it anymore. I was planning on continuing to fast until the cookout started because I knew it would technically be a cheat meal (well... I'd be OK since it was a build day until I broke out of my macro ranges). I just couldn't do it. I ended up popping some NARALA to help, and then proceeded to eat some leftover pizza instead of making anything else. Did a few chores for the fiance outside and then the parents showed up. Grilled out with 85% lean beef, turkey burgers, Hebrew National 97% fat free hot dogs, whole wheat buns, salad, baked beans, and various alcoholic beverages. Wrapped it up with a slice of Apple Crumb pie and vanilla frozen yogurt. It was such a good day. Being with the family, hanging out, having fun, playing cornhole... I've been doing so good in the gym and with my diet and the supplements have been treating me so well I figured it was time to treat myself. But I have ONE WEEK left until my wedding. And the rest of this week I'm going into super strict diet mode. I got a bottle of Slin Sane v2 from Genomyx that I will be adding into this last week (probably take it with me to Jamaica as well to at least try and blunt the side effects of ... well... a honeymoon LOL!).

Thursday: Back/Bis (leave for fiance's hometown)

With all honesty bro, I love yah and you will be missed (yes homo) , when you come back to the lifting world your testosterone levels will be so low due to lack of balls...that I'll be finally catching up to yah in deads :p!!! Hahahaha, JK bro, awesome , really awesome progress. As for cheat meals:

Na-R-Ala: 300mg 30-45 mins prior to a carb high meal is ideal, you can add:

-Recompadrol 4 caps with the 300mg of Na-R-Ala (if its gonna be a BIG meal of carbs)
-After 20 mins of taking Recompadrol and Na-R-Ala , take 1g PLCAR and 1g ALCAR and 1g AGMATINE along with RK-500 (the brand new supplement called raspberry Ketones hahahaha pm , i'll explain the joke)

After the 40~ mins since the na-r-ala+recompadrol dose (so 20 mins or so after dosing the other supps) Indulge yourself in nice reward meals ;)!

I'm running aav2, epi v, and recompadrol dj and its pretty sweet. The aav2 and drol alone is WINNING but the 1andro and 11oxo from epi v is a nice addition

JULY 23rd: CHEST/TRIS

Hooooo boy today was one for the books. Riding high off of the feeling of becoming a rep for Athletix I went into the gym feeling amazing. Took my preworkout:

2x Craze
2x Hemavol
2x Formula-X (old scooper style so 2 scoops = 1 of the new ;))
1.5x Cit Mal
1g Agmatine

... and immediately walked out the door, hopped on my bike, and enjoyed the "warmup" of riding to the gym. Things got destroyed today. Not so much PRs, but definitely felt swollen, puffy, and huge as I focused on stretching/squeezing! Looked great in the mirror. My arms looked HUGE!

Thanks man. Yes it definitely was quite the surprise. I couldn't believe it. I didn't think JD had kept me in his memory that long! Either way... yes it was a great pre-wedding "gift!" Can't wait to start really getting into the meat of my role after I get back from honeymoon!

Just a few more days bro ;)! Tomorrow is HIIT. Thursday is Back/Bis. Then I leave for the wedding. Perhaps some cardio Friday if I can manage but I'm supposed to play golf w/ my soon to be father in law. So who knows!!! Final review will get posted most likely Thursday before I leave. Not sure if I'm gonna have time to make it a video or not. We'll see. I'm pretty committed to making the vids so I'd really like to shoot one about Alpha/Reduce.

JULY 25TH: HIIT

Days until wedding: 3

Hopped on the treadmill after downing some Compete and Formula-X to see how it would make me feel. Had been fasting for at least 20 hours at this point. It was a sluggish start for sure because my damn headphones were pissing me off. I lost my good pair, and this replacement pair has one of those little button dongle things you can hit if you use them on your phone to answer a call and if it dangles around for too long it ends up bouncing itself inside my shirt and weighs down on my ears and I'm constantly readjusting it (yes, I'm talking about headphones. You nasty!) Anyway after the first few cycles it got easier and I was happy about it!

Ran 2.75 miles in 25 minutes. Burned 450 calories. 10 cycles.

Big update for the day?

WEIGHT: 220LBS

I ****ing nailed my goal weight! HELLLLLSSSS YEAAAA!!!!

Tomorrow is back/bis. Last workout before I head out for the wedding. Oh snap!

JULY 26TH: BACK/BIS

Days until wedding: 2

Weight: Don't give a F (I didn't even think about checking it lol)

Well... it was my last workout in the gym before I go off and get married. I leave tomorrow to head to my fiance's hometown. Rehearsal dinner and all that jazz. Freakin' crazy man. Its finally here! Antman is getting HITCHED! Maybe I'll have to do a supplement review on "WIFE" someday. Haha. Anyway I went into the gym pretty stoked that it was my last day for hitting the weights hard (until I return). I took my usual concoction of a preworkout (Intense, Hemavol, CitMal, Formula-X, Agmatine), loaded up my intraworkout (Compete), and took off. FELT GREAT throughout the whole thing. Really pushed myself hard. Cut my shins all to **** during deadlifts. As I was wiping away some blood a guy came up to me and said "thats how you know you are doing them right!" ****in' A brosef! Came out super pumped, especially with the 4XMM used on the biceps. OMG.

DEADLIFT: 135x5warmup 285x6 235x8 265x6 185x12 So up 10lbs in everything since last time. Can't wait to hit 300s

KNEELING PULLDOWNS: 40x12,10 35x12,12 backwards breathing the whole time. These feels fantastic. Lats were on fire.

ONE-ARM DB ROW: 45x8 35x12 25x15 55x6 each rep was held at the top and squeeze for a ratio of 1:2:1 (up, hold, down/stretch)

FARMERS WALK: Good ol' 100lbs DBs again for 4 reps of 20yards walk each. I felt like a moron because the second time I placed them on the floor after the set I lost my balance and fell over. TIMBER, MOTHA ****AS!

BENT OVER ROW: 100x8,8 115x6 I have no idea why, but these felt so light and easy. I really need to step it up next time.


CABLE STANDING NEUTRAL GRIP ROW: 40x8,8,8 still not feeling this exercise that much... might change it up to something else?

CHIN UPS NEUTRAL GRIP: BWx6,5,5 these aren't fast reps either. These are held just like the one-arm DB rows. Held at the top to really activate the lats. Nasty.

STRAIGHT BAR CURL: 60x10,10,10,11 sweet mother of god my biceps hurt so bad

HAMMER CURL: 20x10,10,10,13 time to move up!

Thats all I got for tonight fellas/ladies. I wanted to do my final review but I have procrastinated big time on packing and I need to get to it. I will be back at some point however to update everyone and do a final review on 1) Alphaburn/Reduce XT and 2) the overall cut itself.
