What I will be focused on during the log.

First dose will be this afternoon! So I will take pictures of the grand opening, what it looks like in the shaker cup, etc.
 
Day 1

I used this pre/intra workout. I started sipping on it on the way to the gym, and finished it during the workout. Today was a lower rep range day for me (6-8) and even with that I noticed good muscle fullness during the workout. Not a good workout to assess endurance as I had long rests between sets.


  • Taste: earthy is the best way to describe it, I think. Has a pleasant taste though, definitely easy to drink.
  • Texture: A lot "lighter" and fluffier than I thought it would be.
  • Mixibility: Mixed right into a full blender bottle with just water. Tomorrow I'm going to try to mix it with something else, just to see what the mix tastes like. I usually have RecoverPRO intraworkout, so probably that.

Day 2:

Today I will be using this as a carb source for a MRP. I will be doing 2 scoops of iForce RV cake Protean, and 1 scoop of this.

Day 2:

Ended up using this intraworkout with some Red Raspberry RecoverPRO. Made a decent mixture. No pictures of this, I didn't have time.


  • Mixability: still liking how it mixes. Even when combined with other things.
  • Taste: was good with the RecoverPRO. Going to experiment with other proteins, etc.
  • Higher rep range today so the endurance aspect was noticed. As well as pumps/vascularity were increased.

Day 3:

Was an off day! Didn't use it - though considered using it as a MRP carb source, but with decreased calories on off days I just didn't fit it in.

Day 4:

Today: I will be doing a hypertrophy back/shoulders/few arm sets workout. So 10-12 (sometimes 15) reps, 3-4 sets, so I expect some nice fullness and vascularity today.

Continuation of Day 4:

Awesome workout! Everything was clicking, strength was even up a little. Mixed well with the RecoverPRO. Makes an interesting flavor.

Vascularity was increased again, as well as muscle fullness.

Day 5/6 (my birthday, and an off day): no training, no Glycomyx, lots and lots of junk food.

Day 7 will be tomorrow, and it will be an upper body power day. So again, lower/medium reps. Also a high calorie day so it should be fun.

Also getting back to a really strict lean mass diet starting tomorrow. I have been at low calories for far too long and even though its summer and I should be getting lean I'm going to put on some mass! So, the additional complex carbs from Glycomyx should help with this.
 
Happy birthday! Nice start to the log, GlycoMyx should be a great way to get some extra good calories/carbs in on that lean bulk!
 
Day 7, Upper Power!

Bent Over Rows 3 sets 3-5 (185 for each working set)
Pull ups 2 sets 6-10 (body weight)
Rack chins 2 sets 6-10 (body weight)
Flat DB Press 3 sets 3-5 (95 first set, 85 set 2/3)
Dips 2 sets 6-10 (body weight)
Seated Shoulder Press 3 sets 6-10 (90 lbs)
Straight Bar Curls 3 sets 6-10 (bar + 20)
Rope Pushdowns 3 sets 6-10 (100 lbs)

Felt really good today. Nice pump, vascularity, etc. Didn't mix it with anything funky, just water. Tomorrow I'm thinking about mixing with Magic Matcha.

Weight is 168.
 
Day 8: Lower Power

Pretty epic workout today.

Leg Press

Leg Curls
Seated Calves
Donkey Calves

Very sore! Definitely loving the increased calories.

Ended up drinking this straight, again. I figure why mess with what works. I do throw some BA and Creatine in there, though.

Good endurance, muscle fullness, I rarely get pumps in my legs but I did yesterday even at low reps.

Be honest, you'd miss the purple if I didn't use it.
 
I generally like pumps, but man, I hate pumps on leg day lol. So freaking horrible :no:
 
Day 9/10

Day 9: Off day, did not use.

Day 10: Today, Back/Shoulders Hypertrophy


  • Pulling Power Exercise speed work: Bent over or Pendlay rows
    6 sets of 3 reps with 65-70% of normal 3-5 rep max
  • Hypertrophy pulling movement: Rack chins
    3 sets of 8-12 reps
  • Hypertrophy pulling movement: Seated cable row
    3 sets of 8-12 reps
  • Hypertrophy pulling movement: Dumbbell rows or shrugs bracing upper body against an incline bench
    2 sets of 12-15 reps
  • Hypertrophy pulling movement: Close grip pulldowns
    2 sets of 15-20 reps
  • Hypertrophy shoulder movement: Seated dumbbell presses
    3 sets of 8-12 reps
  • Hypertrophy shoulder movement: Upright rows
    2 sets of 12-15 reps
  • Hypertrophy shoulder movement: Side lateral raises with dumbbells or cables
    3 sets of 12-20 reps

Had to rush through a lot of this workout, so I superset what I could. Finished in about 45 minutes. Nice fullness, vascularity, endurance is also up. Waiting on the strength gains to come.

Didn't mix with anything but water, BA, Creatine. Still mixes well.
 
Day 11

Day 11: Another leg Day! Hypertrophy focused this time.

By the end of this bulk, my legs are going to be a strong point instead of week!


  • Squats

  • Hypertrophy pressing movement: Leg presses

  • Hypertrophy extension movement: Leg extensions

  • Hypertrophy curling movement: Lying leg curls

  • Hypertrophy calf movement: Donkey calf raises

  • Hypertrophy calf movement: Seated calf raises

I love when you are sore before you even leave the gym! They are nice and tight now and I'm looking forward to the pain of it tomorrow!

Glycomyx:

Again, dosed with the BA and creatine. I've found I like to put it in the fridge for a while so it gets nice and cold. Muscle fullness was pretty high today, as was endurance. Weights felt a bit lighter today.

I've still only used it with NutraPro (strawberry cream) pre-workout. I'm used to using a full scoop, now, though. lol

I usually mix 1 scoop with 2 scoops of Dymatize and a touch of Splenda post work out. Smooth and tasty.

Day 14: Lower Power will be today. Ready for some squats! Will be using two scoops today. One for a meal, the other intraworkout.

Day 14 Update:

Used it around lunch with some banana cream flavored protein, wasn't too bad actually. Then took it intraworkout like usual. Weight stayed the same across the board, but it moved a ton easier. Seems strength is going up, but endurance isn't at the same rate.

Day 15: off day

Day 16: Today:

For starters, I am at the beach! Which is sweet, though I haven't seen it yet. Got here at dark and haven't left the house.

Worked out this morning, a semi-full body workout since I won't hit the gym while I am here. Taking some time off from training and dieting, so I can hit fresh in a few days.

Anyway, I went ahead and finished off the tub today. One scoop intraworkout, 1 scoop postWO, and 1 scoop in a bottle on the trip, mixed with banana cream protein again.

I will try to write my final review of this sometime in the next day or so. So, until then...!
