I broke my back on april 7th, i think its my t6 and t5 vertabrea, upper back, and im on disability from work right now till i get better. I feel like im gonna gain alot of weight... My job is very physical and I lifted atleast 3 times a week, so by not being able to do anything I think my body is gonna explode.... I have been goin on walks but that aint **** lol

I was wondering if theres any types of fat burning excerices anyone knows of that doesnt involve any type of back involvement? Thanks

hmmm thats a really good question and i havent thought of that... i wonder if it would be ok...i dunno tho, ill ask my physical therapist tomorrow! thanks

If you look around you may be able to find a pool or aquatic center that does rehab or at least has rehab equipment you can use... e.g. Bikes and treadmills that sit in the water that you can use. Also, would a stationary bike work? Don't have to be all balls out on it, but enough pace to raise the heart a bit on the kind you sit/recline on, not spin bike.

Lastly, your #1 most effective means of not gaining a bunch of fat.... Diet. You may simply need to cut back significantly on intake totals.

They do a pretty good job with taste. Mixes well for the most part. Yes it is good for energy and pumps.

You should be on authorized professional physical therapy or restricted from unauthorized physical activity if you are on disability. If you are found engaging in unauthorized activities you may loose your disability pay if your are receiving any. They do investigate claims.

A broken back is nothing to be taken lightly.

Do you see a physical therapist?

IMHO it is way too soon for you to be venturing into uncharted and unsupervised or unauthorized territory of activities.

Swimming requires a high degree of t-spine mobility. So while it may be low impact, as you turn your body and use your limbs to propell you through the water I'm guessing its going to put some pressure on the injured area of your spine. See a PT and get a workout from him/her that will assist in rehab.

Ya I started seeing a physical therapist a couple days after it happened, and i see them twice a week, got a appointment tomorrow morning actually. I'm trying to keep from doing any physical activity but its just hard for me cuz im used to being very active so it sucks :/

And I should be getting disability pay soon they are just trying to finalize everything.

I guess the only exercise i should do for now are the ones the phys therapist recommends even tho its not really exercise at all lol but it is good for my back
