SCORE!

I don't know if I should be proud or embarrassed of the fact that I knew this lol!

According to History World, the very first grain to be officially cultivated by human beings is wheat, which began cultivation somewhere around 8000 BC. Though several regions in the Middle East were sowing wheat shortly after this time, Jericho is credited as being the first city to sustain its population primarily off the cultivation of various crops. Barley followed soon after, around 7000 BC, with rice not showing up on the global horticultural landscape until around 2500 BC.

Ive read that millet was one of the first, but upon searching a bit I was able to find the above quote as well as others stating wheat as the first grain cultivated by man, fwiw.
