Anyone make this using greek yogurt?

I dont know if using greek yogurt would come out as good as using regular yogurt but i would imagine it will be fine to substitute it in for a healthy low fat low carb protein packed dessert and snack. Currently I usually put a couple squirts of Mio into my chobani yogurt but have thinking about picking up a ice creak maker from walmart to give this a try.

So anyone here try making frozen yogurt with greek yogurt before?

I haven't tried it, but please leave some feedback if you do.

texture got a little funky but taste was good. Although I prefer straight 0% Greek yogurt at room temp so...

Put it in a plastic bag, drop that bag into a larger ziploc filled with ice and ice cream salt. Shake and toss in the freezer for ~20min and it should be about the consistency of frozen yogurt. The lower fat varieties get really hard if you wait too long. Also don't get any of the salt in your bowl when its ready, as that will really ruin the batch.

I assume this is for those who do not have a ice cream maker right? Are those "ice cream salts" hard to find?

I am gonna give this a try tomorrow with some chobani

Yes, this is if you don't have an ice cream maker. No, finding the salt is easy, most grocery stores have it. Even just coarse kosher salt would work. The link JudoJosh provided is the exact kind I use.
