Arginine and Citruline POWDERS

Whacked

Been reading a lot lately about the renal (kidney) protective qualities of both of these products (they assist in eradicating urea and lowering blood pressure, so taking the burden off the kidneys). Things that any high protein bb'er should be mildly concerned with.

Increased vascularity and lowering blood pressure are also very important to me.

This stated, I want to add these in powder form to save cash!

1) Do these taste like butt?

2) Are there any pre-made powdered products which contain both?

I've never bought bulk arginine, I've had bulk citruline though, from nutra and it doesn't taste that bad at all. I mixed it with straight water and it basically just gives the water a citrus like taste. I don't think I would mix it with a chocolate protein shake though, ya dig?

If you find a sweet place to buy either of them in bulk at a really great price, hit up the PM bro :)

You got it brutha ;)

Would agmatine illicit the same effects on the renal system?

I buy AAKG and Citrulline from Nutra. Both taste really tart and citrus-y I suppose. Kind of funky my first go round, but definitely tolerable. In fact, I'm so accustomed to the taste now that I actually enjoy it. I do 3g of each off in a half glass of water (with my beta alanine and ALCAR) for pre-workout. I had put them in with my protein before but it made it taste like sour milk. So I separate the two beverages now (protein and pre-workout).

-Also: Most NO booster/pre-workout products have both. I just find it cheaper to buy these separate as I know how much I'm getting and I don't have to take in a ****load of caffeine or other stimulant that I don't want. A lot of people like stimulants in a pre-workout, but I find they put me in a weird place so I avoid them.

I take Citruline multate daily 1g ish . i just throw it in my protien drink when i wake up along with 1-2g taurine ans 1g ALCAR.

no point? what do you mean? It makes me feel alot better for rest of day get me going etc. i feel the diff when i do or dont take my mix.
can you give more detail on what you men "no point" ?

You feel better because of the alcar in your mix. 1g citrulline malate is too low dosed to do much of anything.

I've been taking arginine for about 3 years for naturally high blood pressure and my readings have been good. I'm also taking vitamin C, coq10, potassium and fish oil as my blood pressure ****tail.

Most likely the fish oil to be honest, unless you're taking the arginine intravenously.
