Gettin' Lean with Osta and S4

Reps for your 100th post, and a good one at that!

Oh wow, lol, didn't even notice ... and it only took 7 years ...

Day 52
Got my cardio in last night, warmed up with a steadily increasing jog followed by LISS. Solid session.

Had my leg workout today, which went pretty well. Was feeling a little lethargic earlier, but really pulled together and pushed myself. Took some of my isolation type lifts heavier, and added in some lower ab work. Hanging leg raises are good stuff. Figured I've been doing the cable crunches which mostly focus on upper abs, as far as I can tell, and thought the lower need some love too.

I wanted to make sure I really pushed myself today as I'm going to a Brazilian Steakhouse tonight, which I'm quite looking forward to (work thing) and will be eating lottttttssssss of meat. So, to help both save up appetite and allotment of calories, no lunch, just a post workout shake. Should be fun.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA - wow man, that made me laugh, seven years!!!!!!!!! Didn't even notice until you said that :)

Day 53
I feasted last night ... literally felt like I was going to burst. Quite satisfying, lol. I basically saved the majority of my calories, only having my shake post-workout, which gave me about a 2k buffer; which I'm pretty sure I still went over, but with far less guilt than may have been otherwise.

Today's cardio was pretty good. My legs were feeling kinda beat after yesterday's session, but I managed to go harder than usual. I usually get about 3 miles worth of LISS in during my cardio sessions. Today's was almost four by adding in some intervals at the beginning and a jog towards the end, felt good. Going to get some more cardio in this evening, though I haven't decided if it's going to be about 25 minutes of mid-high intensity cardio, or over an hour of low intensity ... need to find out what plans are in store for later ;)

On a side note, I forgot to mention that yesterday I weighed in at 171 pre-workout ... which I'm torn about. Seeing my weight go down means the cut is working, but it also reinforces how much weight I'm gonna have to add of quality mass once I get this whole leanness thing to a satisfactory level.

i dont think the AI will make u more emotional. if anything, ull feel better with it, like less aggressive. it should get u a little tighter tho.

Hey, thanks. Guess it's just some drama going on then. But hey, I figure its fair if you've got dates lined up with multiple girls and they all cancel, thats its okay to be a bit bummed, lol. Oh well.

Day 54
Did a nice long-ish cardio session last night, close to an hour fifteen, the majority of which was LISS but with a nice jog to start it off and end it. Fairly exhuasted though by the end of the day and crashed early.

So as mentioned earlier, I wasn't really in the best frame of mind heading to the gym today, but ya work with it, and it can help fuel you just as easily as discourage you, right? So while I wasn't really psyched to be there I managed to put up some solid numbers, and for the most part took things heavier than last week and the week before, so good stuff.

I'm not really planning on hitting up any cardio today, but tomorrow should get a nice session in.

if i were you i wouldnt even worry about any numbers. sarms are good at making you look hard, so i would gear my training more towards lifting slow and working the muscle.
gaining strength is easy. stop all cardio, eat at BK for lunch everyday, lift heavy weight 3-4x week. i guarantee you get stronger.

So when you say lift slow, do you just mean very controlled form .. or extra slow reps and negatives and such? I've been focusing so far on increasing rep ranges while maintaining weights on lifts.

So as an example, take chest press ... instead of having about a 1 to 2 count up then down, it'd be like a 3 count (one one thousand, two one thousand, three one thousand) for the positive, the hold and the negative? I haven't really done anything consistently like that in my routines in quite a while. Though I'd be more than willing to give it a couple weeks shot.

Day 55
Nice cardio session today, but iffy macros. Was out most of the day due to a friends birthday, but still tried to get some quality food in. I did notice I looked particularly vascular by the end of the day. Was a pleasant sight, lol.

Day 56
Took today as a rest day. Have my progress pic below. I wasn't really seeing anything improved from the last two weeks in the picture, but I thought I was looking better in the mirror ... so maybe just not a great shot/lighting.

Nice log so far man. I love Ostarine and S4 both. They both helped lean me out considerably. I'm jumping on Ostarine again next week! :D

Day 57
So, interesting result with measurements today. The last two weeks I hadn't seen any noticeable movement on the measurements at stomach and waist. Today, I start my measurements ... chest ... same as usual ... stomach ... same as the past few weeks ... waist ... down three quarters of an inch o.O. And thats just spiffy :)

So on GLHF's recommendation I switched up my routine a bit. I dropped all the super set/mini circuit stuff and switched over to very, very slooooow controlled reps. Had to lower the main weights to about 60% what I normally lift; and wow thats intense. Not sure yet how much I'll feel it tomorrow, but I was definitely struggling and working during the workout. I plan to keep this up for the rest of the week. Starting next week I'm changing to a different lifting schedule, but will likely keep up with the slow lifts through about August. Once September hits, theres going to be a far greater focus on strength and mass gains.

Have some cardio to look forward to later this evening. Till next time.

I just HAVE to hand it to you man... a lot of respect on positing pictures and keeping such a detailed dependable log! :)

Of course, OSTA and S4 are compounds to get excited about, so I'm sure it made the log easier to rave about.

Thanks man, I find keeping the log helps a lot. Getting some of the moral support, and ideas to change things up is great. The accountability helps too.

Day 58
Good cardio last night, and good cardio earlier today. I won't be getting back in tonight as I have some other stuff going on, but that should be fine. I'm a little sore from yesterday's workout. Maybe slightly more so than usual ... its tough to tell between the SARM's and the BCAAs recovery is really, really good; but I plan to stick with the slow movements.

So, as my update is rather short today, I thought I'd share my plans for transitioning out of my cut, towards a recomp, followed by a slow bulk.

Starting next week, for two to three weeks, I will be keeping my food intake consistent to today, as in Lifting days and Rest/Cardio days get the same number of calories, but will be lifting 4x per week instead of 3x, and hitting each group 2x per week rather than 1x. Additionally, I plan to get rid of all the night/evening cardio. This means 4 fewer cardio sessions per week, and one extra lifting session with about 500 extra calories from food. In conjunction with cutting out the Shift, EC and SARMs this should firmly knock me out of a deficit, but should likely not have me really gaining either.

I expect during the first week to likely add around 5lbs due to water from ending the EC and refilling glycogen a bit. After that, I'll "hopefully" keep my weight steady for the next two weeks. If I manage that, and am not softening up, I'll start by adding about 200 calories/day. I want to aim for around a half pound gain per week. It will likely be difficult to nail that, but we'll see. Any recommendation on what I should use to bump up calories? Predominantly carbs, or an even mix of carbs, protein and fats?

I will be logging this time most likely, as I will be running Anabeta through and past my little PCT for this, but will most likely start a new log for it, but may just keep this one running; we'll see.

On a side note, as I want to try and dry up as much as possible for this weekend, I think I'll be cutting out creatine for the rest of the week. Any extra water retention or bloating should dissipate by Saturday, and I can get back on come Monday, when I get back from my trip.

Day 59
Solid workout today. Kept up the real slow movements. Was interesting doing that with legs, calves and abs. I'm fairly certain that while I've done slow movements with some lifts before, I have not done so with those body parts. I look forward to see any results of training this way for a while.

Tomorrow will be my last day on SARMs though I'll be continuing the EC through Sunday. I'm going to be out of town for the next few days and likely unable to update on here, but I will likely continue on the log through my PCT and AnaBeta usage.

Comments
I think SARMs are a nice mild choice for those wishing something stronger than natural supplements, but still legal-ish. They are effective at what they do, though not quite so powerful as a good PH or pinned cycle. (My personal experience is limited, so mainly assumption).

SARMs will NOT make up for lacks in training or diet, but will help get a bit more out of what you are doing, and allow yourself to push a little harder without ill effect. I had no worries about losing muscle nor strength despite a strong enough deficit and cardio schedule to drop more than pound a week, on average.

I do not plan to use S4 again. I didn't see any noticeable benefit over my previous use of Osta alone, despite some extra sweating. I plan to get bloods done in a few weeks, in the middle of my AnaBeta usage. I think those results may heavily influence and choices on what may lie in the horizon for future cycles. My tests a few months back put me rather low on total T, and I gave some extra time and recovery in before starting this. If I come in low again, I plan to seek out an endo and pray its secondary, lol.

If anyone wants me to comment on anything else, or provide numbers or metrics or whatever, please let me know and I'll see what I can do to oblige.

On Monday I plan to put together final progress pics for my Osta & S4 cycle. Thanks for following so far and I hope you stick around in the future.

ADDING OVER AN INCH TO YOUR CHEST THIS YEAR WHILE SHEDDING BODY FAT AND INCHES ON YOUR WAIST!? Yeah, I'd say what you're doing is working :) GRETA LOG MAN, all the best as you move onto the next one as Jay Z would say.

Great review man! That's pretty much the kind of nice results that come with SARMS. They are great to run in between cycles or part of a PCT to assist in making gains and shedding bodyfat ;)
