Strike another victory for liberalism and the nanny state. Hooray for big government regulation keeping all of us idiots safe from ourselves!

Government, of any political stripe, is tied to who pays it the big money. Politics don't matter - it's only money. Pharmaceutical companies have the most money - they donate most to politicians, therefore any threat to Pharma profits will get attacked. It is not a conspiracy of governments, it's a conspiracy of large companies who's profits rely on us being sick, chronically and in no way treating or healing ourselves. The sad thing is Pharmaceutical giants are not actually massive employers in of themselves. So if the FDA finally becomes the death of supplement companies, it will actually destroy far more jobs. I'm in the UK, so I can't really have an opinion of your US system, but this is what is happening here - the natural health and supplement industry is rapidly collapsing, stores are closing, bankcruptcies are mounting - and all to keep a few pharma corp directors in the luxury they refuse to abandon.

I would imagine the demand for anabolic steriods would rise dramatically if this goes through....if most supplements become illegal and are classed in a similar way to AAS, people will use the drugs that work quickly...Its a sad day when i cant decide to take a protein blend because no one came up with a wpi/wpc/micellar/casine bend before 1994....I cant actually believe this is happening.
