Im currently 21, Ive been lifting for 3 years.
Im 6' 7" started out weighing about 165lbs/75kg (skinny as ****) and after eating a calorie surplus every day for 3 years my weight is up to around 265lbs/120kg.
My objective for this cycle is too add as much size/lean weight as possible before I do my first cut at the end of this year. My goal weight before cutting is around 280/285lbs.
I estimate my bodyfat to be around 15%, I can see the top two rows of my abs and have a minimal amount of fat around my lower abdonimals.
I'd really appreciate all contributions/suggestions/advice that anyone may have, especially regarding my pct.
One question that I do have is in regards to my training. Ive been following a westside style upper/lower split for the past 6 months and have made great progress in both my numbers and hypertrophy. However for those unfamiliar with the routine it pretty much involves maxing out on a bench related and squat related excercise once a week.
I do minimal higher repetition excercises (12-20) as part of my accesory work. As I said my main objective for this cycle is hypertrophy/size gains and strength comes second, so am I better off changing my routine to a standard boybuilding split with more volume? I have read that during pct its best to limit the volume and increase weights, so I was thinking that maybe I could do a bodybuilding split during the time I am on cycle and then revert back to my westside template powerlifting routine during pct which would inadvertently reduce the volume and increase the weights being pushed. Is this a good idea?
