awesome new type of protein drink coming out soon!

lol I heard that story on the news the other day. Didn't they say it's like ridiculously close in terms of being off by one or two DNA strands or something?

Breast milk for everyone!

Over 300 cloned cattle now live on an experimental farm in suburban Beijing, with new calves delivered every week.

Isn't the verdict still out on GMO safety? Now we're getting Genetically Modified Milk from cloned cattle? It seems that Greenpeace has similar sentiment. I'm not a fan of Greenpeace, I do have similar thoughts to them on this matter. Long term health effects studies please. :)

I'll just get my ice cream from ACTUAL breast milk, thank you. Invalid Link Removed

wow thats pretty crazy.

but is it?

and yeah MWB, they said its 80% similar to human breast milk. isnt cow milk like 80% similar? that 20% makes a huge difference.

I'll still have reservations about GMOs and cloned foodstuffs until I see something that was conducted long-term that tells me I'm overreacting. It's just too soon I think. Probably too soon for human trials too.

I just read an article highlighting the extreme safety issues with GMO stuff. The article got real scary, real quick.

monsanto has put roundup into the dna of corn seed. studies of chickens given gmo modified corn showed ruptured guts.

just listened to a show on the radio last night about the fda trying to approve modified salmon even though all of the researchers involved warn of dangers.

The FDA doesn't give a **** about us, they are just filling up Monsanto's pockets....

Baby builder protein!!!!!

But for real, not interested. I want to see some clinical trials that it's safe and I'm not gonna step in line to try. Nor will I subject my newborn child to it.

Besides, why buy cow imitation human breast milk when real breast milk is free? And who cares if it's sweeter? Babies dont know taste like that. Have you ever tried breast milk lately? It's kinda gross. On another level, breast feeding creates a maternal relationship the child.

Fears about GMO safety are generally driven by a lack of scientific knowledge. Changing the protein profile of cow's milk isn't going to suddenly turn it into ricin and make you bleed to death out of your eyes and your ass if you drink it. The vast majority of scientists working on genetics research agree that GMOs are harmless. The real damage here occurs when a GM plant is released into the wild and displaces nativev species. That could have some serious environmental impacts.

GMO doesnt bother me. I think nothing of it. Any health concerns related to GMO are when one population of a GMO gets infected with some disease strain because then its very easy for the rest to fall ill because they're all exactly the same with no genetic variation in immunity. So if one falls sick they all do... fast. It's a concern we face a lot here in the US with grains. If not controlled, youre right Space Viking, it could be detrimental to the bios of that area as is since it would be an invasive species. As for us? It doesn't matter.

giving hormones to livestock [including estrogens] to increase weight quickly isn't a concern to you? as to the grain cows are eating, the corn dna includes roundup in the seed.

wow-i can't believe you would not be concerned about this.
