Applying for police officer job...Will they drug test for steroids?

not in the job interview part, they'll just test for **** like marijuana, cocaine, meth, etc

they will do the lie detector test and you better not lie, just tell them you took a pro-hormone that was legal but it had steroids in them but at the end IT WAS LEGAL

because he likes to have more power over most people ? if a cop, good or bad, tells you he became a cop to save people and ****, he is lying, he became a cop for the badge, the gun and that power of badge and V8 crown vic or charger

Some do while most do not. Most federal agencies do. A few local municipalities will too. Contact their recruiting department or the citys human resources department and they will tell you what drugs they test for as well as their testing methods ( voice stress test, urinalysis, blood draw etc.) Most city agencies will post their drug testing policy on their employment web page.

Most places do not test for aas due to cost, they are more concerned with drug usage.

This is correct; most pre-employment screens utilize the SAMHSA 5-panel urine test. They're looking for weed, coke, meth, heroin, and PCP usage.
AAS are drugs; they just aren't detected by standard urine tests.

i'm a criminal justice student myself. If you have or are taking "CDS" i would stop now. Regardless from what youve heard about the popular "i know a ton of cops who juice at my gym" stories...that was then, this is now. Steroids are a bigger deal today then they were "back then" and police know that, so just sayin. Good luck to you man.

I see. I'm a Crim Just major (graduated awhile back) so I was only curious. I think it can be a rewarding career for the right reasons. Personally, after going through the CJ program, I personally could not be affiliated with law enforcement. I wish you the best of luck.
Regarding AAS, as mentioned above; the cost is too high. They rarely, if ever test for AAS. Also (as mentioned above), they test for recreational drugs such as THC, Coke, MDMA, Meth, Opiates, etc.

Lol!!! I became a cop because it's a kick ass job! At the end of the week I can't believe I get paid to do this! I don't need a badge or power... No matter what someone will always be bigger and more powerful then you.
