AndroLean/AndroHard Log 6-Weeks

Day 24

The workout:
Tris
Close grip bench
135x15,165x10,185x7 super 135-10 (endurance up significantly on these)
EZ-bar Skull krusher superset with EZ bar close grip presses
75x20 close grip press 12,95x10 super - 95x7,115x4 super - 115x4 (assisted)
Cable inside grip press downs
120x12,140x8,160x6
Bent over single arm cable extension
35x10,40x8,45x5
Dip machine
160x15,180x9,200x5
workout quality 8.5/10
Feeling great, had an amazing pump, however the rotator cuff was very sore so I did not pursue the heavier weights on the close grip. Despite very low carb intake (50-100g mostly only post workout), mood and focus are still very strong. Also this was done very fast with little rest, so needless to say once again drenched by the end of the 3rd set of the first exercise. With the weather getting warmer, the thermogenic effects are getting even more prevalent, which is crazy! Its been way too long for a back day but i'm going to attempt to set an endurance PR on the deadlift again. Hopefully skipping the 3 or 4 sets of t'bar rows will help this as well. Going to try and hit and endurance PR of 315 X 5-8 tomorrow wish me luck!!

One last side note: I have noticed that while i've almost cut 10lbs, this had made the heavier weights a little harder to hit as they physically pull me forward/get flown out of the seat on the dip machine. I still feel like I had 275x1 on close grip but def wasn't going to risk that or 225, especially with the much anticipated back day tomorrow.

wow this log might have be convinced to buy some and add it to my tren e test e cycle, the price is my problem for something that isn't a injectable

Cycle is looking good!

would you guys recommend carb cycling or more of just a .5/lb of bodyweight and high fat/protein? or carb cycling? I have found that my body is a lot more carb sensitive on this cycle in how the amount of carbs I take in seems to more strongly impact my physique

Day 25
Did a little bit of legs today to warm up and it felt great. The back workout was sick and I hit the reps I wanted to! Another amazing day in the gym on AH/AL

21 sets of back and I still had more in me! Felt swole and pumped, never felt my lats feel so full, DAMN! I was also very excited to hit 315 x 6 and 415 x 1, YEAHH! I have been noticing a lot more definition on my cuts and chest, and the fat I had on my chest seems to be melting off! Nothing but good things to say.

Unfortunately my this is the only picture my friend could get of my doing 415, I'll get a much better one up next week, but hey it shows some calf definition lol

Are you still losing fat? Not sure if it would be wise to switch things up if your strength is getting better and you are losing fat.

One thing I notice on your deads is your heels are coming up off the floor and you are shifting your weight forward toward your toes. Make sure to stay heels on your lift, might also want to switch to a flat sole shoe or go without them all together, a lot of people like chucks. Great job though, and nice stash!

I'm not losing as much fat as I would like to be but I am getting a lot stronger, quite the dilema

In that case, ya go for it, I think you can push it here if that is the case. Have you ever ran a carb cycling diet?

No, I havn't, but I know my body doesn't usually hate me too much when I have little to no carbs in the system for a long time. I hear it works amazingly well though. Isn't it like 0-50 for a day, then 50-100 another day, then a carb load day.

Eat like a caveman grow like a caveman?

More or less. I prefer the Primal philosophy as it permits a little bit more (e.g. dairy if you're acclimated), but still keeps the core principles (lots of flesh, eggs, nuts, and produce with no wheat, soy, corn, or legumes.

I like the sound of that a lot more because i thoroughly enjoy greek yogurt and occasionally milk in my protein shakes. I dont have too much of a problem canning wheat, soy corn or legumes though. Dont get me wrong i'm loving the fatloss on the stack and the strength is incredible, i would just like see if there is a more efficient way to increase the fatloss such as the primal philosophy

It's all about insulin control and lessening inflammation. Gluten itself is inflammatory to the GI system, although the degree varies from person to person. Plus, all crops of this nature (wheat, corn, soy, oats) are so highly genetically engineered that there is no way in hell that eating them consistently will not have a negative impact on health.

I completely agree with this, I always try to buy organic whenever possible.

Stuff like high fructose corn syrup may be one of the most contributing factors in obesity in the US

I agree here, suggary beverages have crippled this country. That and high sugar foodstuffs

Very insightfull post Rodja. Reps on the way.

Like my best friend always tells me.. he'd rather be a fatass and eat whatever he wants then eat "the gross " stuff I do and be in good shape.

Comments like that just motivate me to get into even better shape.

Wow I just discovered this forum today but am loving it. I'm definitely thinking of stacking these 2 as well.

Sorry everyone that I have been so irresponsible about updating this log, been busy with a 50 page final thesis paper for the 29th of May. For this unfortunate reason, days 24 and 25 were rest days, but they were needed (or at least one was) and I felt stronger than ever for chest and Bis today Thankfully, its on making my university's gym green so I get to spend even more time there! Things to note, still feeling very thermogenic and dense on rest days and slightly more oily skin. No hair loss yet, which is great!

I know I'm not stacking both but I can attest to the fact that this has been a dream cycle with really no sides.

Thank you. I've never even thought about a board like this, honestly. Unfortunately I used to be very naive and just believe everything the sales reps at my local sports nutrition place said. I started researching some of the products they recently pushed to me, which I didn't buy by the way, and discovered this board. Very informative indeed. Also nice to find people out there that think along the same lines as you and have similar goals.

IS that a gyno ?

I sure hope not lol! I've always had a little from peuberty and had fat around my chest from being over weight as a child (180, 5,4' YIKES! Thanks weight watchers 7th grade). I dont feel any hard lumps behind my nipples, barely even sensitive at all so lets hope no gyno!

Day 28

Today went very well, 315 felt the lightest it ever has! felt an almost painful back pump but nothing to be concerned with. Vascularity was apparent in the lats as well, pretty cool. Still feeling great and lean on pretty low carbs and a lot more organic natural foods.

Back

Bent over rows
135x10(3x)

Standing bent over cable rows
80x10,90x7,100x5

Also noting a noticeable increase of oily skin and acne, but a scrub I have has helped with that. Still havn't noticed any hairloss, recovery has been excellent, and the libido the same as well.

What are you using for the oil/acne? I actually have some Rx stuff here, but I am not sure what most use lately.

I also use Rx; 5% benzoyl peroxide wash, 1% clindamyacin/5% benzoyl peroxide cream for chest and back, and 0.1% adapalene/2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream for face. I also have 10% benzoyl spot treatment that i found otc one day. And employ 2% salicyclic acid scrub patches.

I use neutrogena face wash and I have some salicylic acid I apply to back and dab with a cotton ball on my face dries it out really fast. Also I make it a priority to shower almost immediately after the gym or at least wash down back and shoulders. I was on acutane at 13 for cyst like big acne bumps on my back. They always rear their ugly head when I go on though but never gets out of hand to the point where I need to go to my dermatologist.

Day 29 - Rest day

Day 30 Bis and Tris

Been eating a lot more natural, organic, clean food lately and its made all the difference. My energy is up even more and general feeling of well being is up as well. I am attempting to mimic the paleo lifestyle as suggested but with a couple strategic carb placements pre or post workout. Its been working out really well and i think for the the last couple of weeks it will really help me achieve some significant progress.

the Workout:

workout quality 8.5/10 - Feeling like my arms are gaining mass decently fast and filling out very nicely. Did todays workout in about 30 minutes with around 20 seconds or less between sets. Been trying to push the envelop endurance wise and I feel like AH/AL have made it a lot easier to do that. Great workout today, never want this cycle to end!
