SilentBob's (no-drama) chatroom

hmmmmm, I'll have to look for some local auction houses and whatnot this evening.

BigT had a good suggestion about yard-sales. I've found a few weights and things at those.
Also look in your local classified ads. You should have some local publications in your area.
Where I live we have a classified called the Tennessee Trader. I see all kinds of good deals in there weekly. You should have something similar where you live.

Alright gang, taxes done.

Getting ~1000 back. Gubment gunna buy my home gym for me!! :head:

I bought a pair of 40lb DBs a few years back so that I'd have something to use at home when I was home from school in the summer time. Unloaded them at our neighborhood yardsale this past year for $10, and the guy was really happy about that price! I had good intentions with 'em, but was happy to part with 'em for the reason I did - they were too small!! HA!!! Lovely... I do so enjoy progress.

Did you all catch this, this weekend?

Worst song ever. Best cover ever.

Lol that almighty tax return! Grats bro, I only got like 500, but i'm pretty sure i've messed them up ha

Man, mine's come and gone, and I still have to pay my state and local taxes!! Eh, there's time... Got excited, then quickly depressed doing mine this year. My wife and I file jointly, and as I was entering in the data, I watched that magic refund tabulator go from 5K down to 2k and then down and down. Tax brackets bit us hard this year, then factor in that I had to tap my IRA to replace the engine in the Saab, then some income that didn't have taxes taken out... yeah, it sucked. Fortunately we didn't owe anything to federal, but it came and went too quickly. Oh, well... win some, lose some. Atleast I managed to spend about 200 on fun before it disappeared to bills! :D

Fun? Man... 200 bones won't get you many hookers and/or blow here in neck of the woods!

HA!!! No, but it will pay to have the seat on my bike redone. Recovered, flames stitched into it, scooped, gel insert... Small investment for longer ride comfort = LOTS more fun!!! :D

7 gram rocks.

I heard about this website on the radio today.

Kind of an interesting tidbit, since its tax time.

Looks like I paid to the tune of $2442...

I'd rather have asked if I wanted to donate, in which case I would have bought a bulletproof vest for a soldier. I support the troops, not the politics.

well, when you want to complain about the cost of the war, look at the budget chart

and realize that almost as much money is spent on pensions for the sucky federal workers as is spent on defense.

That's it. I'm seceding from the Union. They can conquer me if they want, but will most likely just impart a trade embargo or something. But that's ok, seeing as my chief export products will be KICKING AZZ and zombie corpses. Now, just have to find a name... TiMsylvania? United Federation of FU? That works. We'll go with that for now.

brb.... Friending Laos on FB.

Come to the Confedaracy then. You'll love it here. I do. :yup:

Nice.. someone who actually knows what the confederate battle flag really represented rather than reshaping history and labeling it pro slavery. Reps.
War wasn't about slavery, it was about economics. The North industrialized while the South stayed agrarian. The differences led to imbalance, and the hilarity ensued! :D

Preaching to the choir bro-hemian-rapsody... there are many different views, but somehow it all got warped into slavery, and if you fly the rebel flag you are considered a racist... quite incongruous with the elements of understanding that is shoved down our throats today by mr. media.

In all fairness, Jesse Jackson is running out of excuses for calling white people racist. He needs to cling onto anything he can.

He would probably think I'm a racist for saying that.

Yeah, gotta give it up to Abe Lincoln & company for putting that veil over the civil war. I will give him credit for being one kickass vampire hunter though, and that's real talk.

I keep forgetting to read it!!! Maybe if you started a thread and just retyped all of the book, I'd actually remember to read it for a change. I can sit here all day and read the forums, but can't pick up a book to save my life. I'm STILL on chapter 1. D'oh!!

Hey, don't feel bad. I'm white and am embarrassed by the rest of 'em!

Bill cosby is the only black leader with half a brain (and jello brand pudding)

Now that I completely disagree with... albeit I know you were saying it in jest.

If anyone has the opportunity, go see H.K. Edgerton speak if he pops up locally. Definitely worth the price of admission. A man with true southern pride who marched the confederate flag thousands of miles from North Carolina to Texas. His thoughts are very enlightening if you read up a bit.

He's not the only one true, but he was one I had hoped would actually try for political office. The cornerstone of his message has always been personal responsibility, that a black child can't blame white people for his father abandoning him. That a woman having multiple children from multiple fathers she's not married to and living on welfare isn't caused by the white man, its caused by a lack of self responsibility. That the black communities need to work on themselves, not yell out for extra money and help from the outside. Really resonated with me. And the pudding is good too, although Jennifer 6 ranks among some of the worst movies i've ever seen

:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

And this challenge is not merely for blacks alone, but indeed all races, creeds and ethnicities.

yeah..... One of those days...

I see that and raise you a...

This one is for TAD...

Nice, but WTF is with putting your foot down around the turns?!?!?? LEAN THAT SUM BISH!!!!! Hell, I can get down deeper than that!

Just for kicks, here's a (long) vid with some nifty tunes of our first ride of 2011. Shows ya some PA scenery in my neck of the woods. Not very exciting, but eh... I'm the one in the front - big, black, and undiscernible from the other folks in black! :D

I'll see your cheese and raise you some cheddar. LOL
