Want to start making my own salad dressing and looking for some suggestions

Thinking of EVOO and vinegar .. or at least thats what I have been told.

If anyone has any suggestions or recipes please share

No sugar please..

Thanks

evoo + vinegar plus mrs dash italian herb mix works nice

what kind of ratio of evoo to vinegar?

and do you use plain white vinegar? or one of the white or red wine ones?

thanks

I'd use balsamic vinegar, and hmm I can't recall the ratio. mostly evoo though, balsamic vinegar has a strong taste

From a health/bodybuilding perspective;
- 1g of acetic acid can lower the reactive blood glucose response of a meal by up to 31.4%.
- Lemon juice and olive oil for the same purpose.

From a taste perspective I have no idea, I don't like vinegar and tend to eat all of my foods plain lol.

actually, duh! one I like that is pretty simple is a light splash of EVOO plus some fresh squeezed lime juice. no need to premix, use maybe 1/4-1/2 a lime

Apple cider vinegar or balsamic are best for dressings. Mis it with some olive oil and add in just about any herbs you want, some salt, some garlic powder. Thats the thing about oil and vinegar dressing... the combinations are endless. Just taste it as you mix it so you can add spices, more vinegar, etc. to it as you go.

Well guys every one has different opinion on this topic and i only add fruit and nothing else and i like only fruits in the making salad and also some vegetables.

Another simple dressing is 4 parts lemon juice, 1 part Dijon mustard, some minced garlic (however much you like garlic), and 21 season salute or other non-sodium spice mix.

I get large jugs of lemon juice and multi-pack mustard at Costco, then I use the lemon juice jug for the dressing. Nothing special about the proportions, I just wing it.
