HereToStudy checked out the Lit-Up Hype.

Primordial Performance Rep
So Lit-Up has been pretty hyped up lately, so I decided I want to know what it is all about. It did appeal to me in two ways. I personally am not a fan of 1,3 dimethylamylamine, I feel positively stimmed, but everything else about it makes me feel like ****, so I was happy that Lit up decided to go for a cleaner stim feeling. I also have had positive experience with DAA before (Given my company affiliation, this is obvious). I think DAA is one of the best recent discoveries for OTC supplementation, so I obviously have no issue with it being a part of Lit-Up.

Flavor
Easily one of the best flavors I have ever hard in a PrWO. Citrus Cherry is what they are calling this flavor, but it has a very fruit punch vibe to me. Very smooth, and no presence of a "sandy" flavor, if you know what I mean with other PrWo. I recently stated a positive flavor from another PreWO, but this is by far the best flavor in this category (stimulant PreWO).
Easy 10/10

Stim
As some of you know I have been doing strict keto during the week, so energy has been an issue for me recently. Using a stim preworkout, although certainly not always my first choice, has been completely necessary. Now I will say that I don't find the stim to be the strongest I have had from a PrWO, but I will say it has been the cleanest feeling stim effect (primarily due to using caffeine as the stimulant source), with a very limited crash. So it is a balance that I most certainly welcome.
Stim 9/10

Notes

Previous to using Lit-Up, my "go to" stim preworkout was ASGT, which I have claimed in many threads to be the best stimmed preworkout I haved used. It easily is pushed aside by me now with Lit up being my top choice in this category. I am only a week in, so I feel the effect should be getting better as the DAA dosages continue.

I have started to add to my dose (which is 2 scoops). I added GPLC, Arginocarn, and an extra scoop of beta alanine.

You guys have done very well with this product AppNut. I certainly find it to be the the best stim pre workout on the market right now.

My only complaint:
This coloring of this stuff may be a bit of a turnoff for some, it is very very red, kinda unnatural looking. This wouldnt be a huge deal other than if the red touches any part of your hand, it can leave red stains, and even your mouth can have abit of a red hue. For this reason I have been using a bit more water than necessary.

thanks for the great review !! :)

Thanks for the review! You'll continue to experience this as well, I absolutely love this product as a pre-workout. I'd also like to add that it is not designed to be an over-board energy product, but yet a "clean energy" as you mentioned.

I'm fairly confident Lit Up will continue to take the Pre-workout scene by storm, this stuff is just great. To those of you who say something about my company affiliation, that's exactly why I've been with AN for years now... they produce top quality stuff.

PS: I now have a new avatar pic!

HTS thanks for the awesome, in depth review - this is exactly why I wanted to make sure you had a shot at it :D!

BTW - stealing that picture for sure ;)

Great review HTS. Im goin to have to try this now.

Shoot me a PM with your info and I will get a sample out to you

So it's not overly done in the stim department? No crash or jittery feeling?? How did it effect your motor function???

HTS...not sure what time of day you workout but if it's the evening did you have any trouble sleeping? I had just a sample pack and when I tried it I couldn't sleep. I took the whole thing about 5pm which is 2 servings according to the package. Curious if it was just me or if the sample pack is a "large dose". I also had a highly elevated heart rate but the focus was awesome.

I actually workout around 7, but due to PP work, etc.. I usually dont get to sleep until 1 am. I did not have any negative effect on sleep, but it might be due to the timing for me.

great review, is this a review of a sample or did you buy it?

In general the reports about sleep after latenight workouts with LITup has been really good, and I personally have used it for a 7pm workout with no issues.

Get me your addy and I will get you another sample to give it a shot again..

Thanks bro. I'd love to give it another shot at one dose rather than the accidental two. I've not seen anyone having the sleep issue either so maybe it's just me. PM on it's way.

Never really thought of it. Is it actually red die though? Stuff IS red. LOL. When I mixed it up I was like WOW!?

says red #40 avoid that like the plague

AC Allura (FD&C Red #40) has been around since the early 70's- it is found in an enormous amount of foods, drinks, cosmetics, and other consumer products. The EU has put some restrictions on Allura, and because we do sell the product in the EU, we are compliant with their guidelines, which are much stricter than the United States as far as colorant levels go.

This has come up several times before- and I can only find one study showing that normal doses of Red #40 have caused any issues, and this was in children ages 3, 8, and 9- and it was a small, albeit statistically significant group. However, I have not seen any evidence of Allura causing issues in healthy adults, and if we thought it was going to cause any issue with any of customers- Applied, as a company, wouldn't try to give any of you (as the customer) anything that would cause any type of harm- that would be really bad business, and we do our homework to ensure a safe product...

I most certainly did not mean it as an attack and have used several App Nut products before with great satisfaction. I personally avoid dyes and other fillers whenever possible (basically if it doesn't need to be in a product or serve a purpose, why ingest it?)

Dye is for aesthetics only.

It pretty much dyes my mouth red if I don't dissolve lit-up in enough water, but it's now my goto preworkout

i didnt mean it as an attack either just as a warning...red dye serves no purpose...the human body isnt lacking red, yellow, blue, etc.to function..dyes are used to attract customers...companies use these colorful chemicals to help increase good business...good business would be to get rid of that sh1t...

So, what's on tap for today's workout?

You will most likely be "discredited" for your statements due to the fact that a lot of poisonous compounds are legal thanks to the wonderful people who compose our gov't and have appointed themselves to "look after our best interest".

Right.

How did the legs workout go?

LOL- no worries- I didn't take it as such- and I understand your position :)

This is one of the reasons we do so much testing before we bring a product out (both analytical and consumer testing)- keeping customers happy with our brand is the most important thing to me....

Once again, no worries- adding color to taste helps to add an additional element to the product- this is why dyes are so popular in most consumer products

ohio - questionable health effects of ingredients used to dress up nutritional supplements play a huge role in the supplement industry. Pretty colors appeal to the consumer and that's really what they want.

If you have two products with the same ingredient profiles but one has a "prettier" color than the other--the majority of people will go with the "pretty color" one. That's just how people think: they're followers, not leaders. They're like sheep. Its a sad truth but most people don't do research what they're ingesting. They simply take it for granted thinking if it's sold to the public then its safe.

this has already been addressed in this thread multiple times, where are you going with this?

I have to agree with the review of Lit Up as it's my new pwo. It is great for clean energy, makes for a fantastic workout and has very little if any crash to me. My only con (if you can even call it that) is I also add a lot more water than directed, to me it's too concentrated/strong/sweet with 8 oz's of water..I go 12oz or higher and it's fantastic. Great product!

Brutal as always.

On that note the Lit Up is certainly still doing its job, and the DAA is becoming apparent, as I seem to be having a bit of a libido increase.

Lol, my gf commented on this aspect last night, so it must be working

Thanks for the support man! I actually do the same with LITup, about 20oz water for 2 scoops minimum.
