Alcohol raises DHT

Has anyone ever heard of this? Just google alcohol+DHT and there are numerous sights claiming it does. Anyone feel as though consumption while on test could cause more DHT conversion?

I really dont feel as though it increases estrogen on cycle. Could be wrong. Its not suppressing exongenous test. I know I have gotten hammered and had some mad workouts day after while on and hornier too. I think about all the heavy drinkers I know, and alot of them have dense facial hair and receding hairlines(alot of this is genetic I know.) Not sure whether its their own DHT that causes them to drink or the alcohol causing a significant spike in DHT. Also think about behaviour associated with those of us who drink...more agression if youre prone to it or if someone pushes your buttons the wrong way, hornier, etc. I know I have had way better erections while drunk and totally had better sex...IDK food for thought

Alcohol increases Estrogen while its in your system. It can cause test spikes the next day or when the ethenol units leave your system thus why you get a morning wood after a heavy night out. Prolonged constant use shows estrogen sides like moobs and fat gains.

im just speculating but i know as you get older DHT becomes more plentiful in the prostate and hair follicles yet Test decreases with age.....

so maybe its possible alcohol increases DHT given the example above

Ive heard alcohol causes test spikes due to its estrogenic effects.

Acutely, alcohol causes spike in test. It is chronic use that causes some horrific side effects.

This^^(but not exactly, if I remember correctly)

PA put out an article stating exactly what happens. I very vaguely remember it saying something about NADH being higher after alcohol consumption, and this upregulating test conversion for a short period of time. An increase in test would correlate with an increase in DHT assuming no 5-ARi's are being used in conjunction. This is very short live and generally, the benefits do not outweight the long term effects.

everything ive ever read says that metabolism completely shuts down until all alcohol is out of the system.

so before carb, protein, etc is dealt with, alcohol must leave the body.

so if you drink alcohol then eat, chances are the stuff you eat will have a majority partition toward fat gain.

it makes sense too since i see some of my friends who are ectos have beer bellies.

i would imagine that it raises test. just think all the boozers getting liqueured up before a big game.? on dates to become less nervous? fights are also alot more frequent around drunks too.

According to my food and nutrition professor, this post holds the most factuality

Very interesting thread.
