I really hope you believe that. Name one thing that Tebow has a better skillset in than Newton. Running? No Passing? No Let me guess.. he's a GREAT leader.. he is definitely doing well leading cheers for the Broncos this year. As much as you guys want to hate Newton and call him what you do, you're doing it without knowing anything about him. He visits elementary schools weekly and everyone around him has nothing but positive things to say about him. People are going to hate people when they are on top, but it'd be nice if you at least knew what you were talking about.

funny thing is my buddy calls me on fri evening telling me he scored 2 tickets for the penn/mich game and asked me to go. unfortunatly, i had prior engagements..ppl need to ask me earlier in the week...any case, if i get a chance for the northwestern game i will let you know and we can do some tailgating.:heart:

I absolutely love Alabama's position right now. They face the same circumstances they would have if they'd won against S. Carolina... win out and they're in the title game. The difference is: No more bulls-eye on their chests, and they've gotten back a bit of that chip-on-the-shoulder attitude they played with last season. It has to motivate them that instead of Auburn coming in to "knock them off," the situation will be reversed this season. Of course, beating LSU, Miss. St, and AU all in the next 26 days will be a ridiculous challenge... but standings-wise, they have the same opportunities they had in week 1.

It most definitely can be done. That final gauntlett is really turning out to be a more difficult looking one than the one earlier in the season that took so much pub though. Miss St. isn't the push-over that people once thought they'd be.

Miss. State's a solid team this season... 7-2... held AU to 17 points. I think it will help that Bama plays them at BDS. Plus, they'll have those spiffy new uniforms... which is worth like 14 points. (sarcasm)
As for the "blanket statements" comment, I was alluding to how it can suck when they're not used in your favor.
"Everyone knows Oregon is the best team in the country."
"All the commentators are saying Boise should be ranked #1."
"The entire media is saying Newton is a classless, narcissistic thief."

You know what -- Flame me all you want but you ALL are a joke. Cam Newton hasn't done ANYTHING to deserve the stuff you jealous haters say about him. He may be a show boat but he does it with his OWN fans and his OWN fans love him for it. He's not out there to impress any other fans, he's out there to WIN and to show support to the people who came to support him. Hate all you want but in the end its YOU that looks like the jealous idiots.

Reminds me exactly of the position that the 2008 Gators found themselves in AFTER they lost to Ole Miss. As a fan, the lowered expectations after that loss made things alot more bearable (and the final outcome more enjoyable) than all the 2009 hoopla and perfect season expectations.

Well I drove 2 hrs to witness what I believe to be the nail in Randy "Zook" Shannon's coffin.
VIRGINIA?!?!?!?! They had ONE D1A win, against Eastern Michigan. VIRGINIA?!?!
The fans quit on Randy a while ago - the last of us got off after the FSU blow out - but now it seems the team has quit on Randy as well.
Harris gets knocked out and the D, which had played well other than FSU, lays down and let's UVa throw a TD to wide open TE on 4th down.
Congrats to the Cavs, we made their season. And yet against Miami will not win even it's side of the ACC.

I agree. As much as I despise the Canes, it's really ashame, there were such high expectations of RS early on (and some good signs). He seemed to give Urban Meyer a run for his money with Florida recruits. What the hell happened??

He's really Ron Zook Pt 2. He's a great recruiter - no one can doubt that. Look at the recent guys in the NFL for us. But he's not a developer of players. Look at the guys in the NFL for us...
He's just not good at motivating the team. He and the other coaches make so many boneheaded calls also.
I think he's a good gameday coach - he was a pretty damn good DC for us. But maybe that's what he is - more of a top notch coordinator rather than head coach.
I just know he won't win us any sort of title. Not even the God awful ACC. We aren't worthy of a BCS bid, IMO. If VT is all we can hang our hats on - we should give a bid to someone else.

I love how Boise State supporters love to bring up "fairness"... when there is nothing fair about Boise's scheduling. I took a closer look at their schedule today.
Check this out:
-TWO bye weeks. Why is this shady? Because no one else gets two bye weeks... and because it allows for them to play a meaningless game on 12/4, when the SEC, Big 12, and ACC champions are crowned. Meanwhile, both TCU and Utah will be sitting around after their seasons end on 11/27. This is important because it doesn't reward a one-loss SEC champ (if there is one) for playing the extra post-season game.
-THREE CONSECUTIVE Friday night games. Why is this shady? Because, curiously enough, the first game is against Idaho, one of the worst teams in the country. However, the next two games catch both Fresno State and Nevada playing short weeks (their prior games played the previous Saturday). Yeah, I'm sure that wasn't an intentional off-season move.
Basically, this is a custom-made schedule (ESPN, anyone?) to give them the best shot at the top 2 come season's end. We'd never hear the end of it if an SEC or Big 12 team had these luxuries. Meanwhile, Alabama plays 6 conference opponents coming off of bye weeks, loses one of them in an away game, and Boise biatches scream "Undefeated!" at the top of their lungs.

Why can't you just enjoy Auburn's success, for Christ's sake? When my team was in the position a year ago, I couldn't have cared less what you or anyone else here thought of Mark Ingram or the rest of the squad.

If out teams don't improve in the next couple of years, it will be a matter of giving the ball back to each other and not trying to win at all. As soon as one team gets it, just hand it to the other team again. I agree. I'm not about to sit through this bs of a season again. I feel your pain.

Well thank god for second chances and god bless the people who take these second chances and turn them into life changing experiences for other people. I guarantee you that you will not find one person who hasn't screwed up in life. But how many of these people who have screwed up have felt so inclined to help others and change others lives due to this experience? Not many. Buying a stolen laptop is NOWHERE near the level of trouble that most of these college football players get themselves into.
Why do I care? Maybe because you guys slander his name and make him out to be some animal. All because he enjoys pumping his OWN crowd up. Then when I make the comparision to your "Lover" blowing "Be Quiet Taunts" to the OPPONENTS fans Cams is somehow worse? Get real. Ingram isn't a bad guy but if anyone is a complete deutch bag it is him. There is NO reason the heisman winner should have to taunt other teams fans.

I don't think that's gonna happen. Do you remember a few years back when Ohio State ranked #1 met Michigan ranked #2 and Ohio State won a very close game? The legitimate argument from Michigan was - we have 1 loss, a close loss to the #1 team in the country we should be playing them again for the National Championship since Florida's one loss was to a lesser ranked Auburn team. As much as I wish that logic had carried the day,it didn't happen and I just can't see it happening in this case either because the human voters won't go for it. Of course strength of schedule will be much better for the loser of this years Iron Bowl but i still can't see it happening.
