Something I read just now.

Almost every experienced bodybuilder will agree that the mind-to-muscle link is important to optimize the growth response to training. A recent study suggests this maybe true. This research showed that you can increase muscle activation during weight lifting by concentrating on the muscle during the exercise.

British researchers found that fiber activation was greatest when people mentally focused on their bicep muscles when doing bicep curls.

Athletes have many different ways to increase their focus while the train. I fully believe those that are able to focus 100% are the elite athletes. It's not a trait that you instantly acquire. The mind-muscle link is something that can take years to truly develop, but when you do you are in for major gains unachievable otherwise.

One thing that heavy lifting*is designed to do is make it easier to focus while you train and generate elite level mind-muscle link. For example, if a set is only going to last 20 seconds (4 to 6 reps) the it's much easier to generate 100% focus and 100% intensity in that very small amount of time as opposed to 60 seconds or more. Same applies to the the duration of the entire workout. It's much easier to focus 100% for 30 minutes than it is for an hour and a half.

These little advantages that*Heavy lifting*gives you add up 100 fold when it comes to building muscle.

Liking the log so far, and thats some really interesting info you presented there. Keep up the good work, looking forward to your final review.

LOL, i hear ya man. My entry fee is $80 plus the additional $40 to enter the open class in HOPES of qualifying for nationals. Top 2 in my open weight class qualify for nationals. Plus the $90 NPC card, $60 competition spray tan, etc. Competitive bodybuilding is not cheap my friend.

I really cant wait to see the mandatories this thursday.

One question i do have, a bit unconventinal but have you ever tried dosing your carnbolic, maybe 2-3 caps, prior to posing practice.

Going through all the relaxed then mandatories and transitions and then holding them 10 seconds plus can really create some major fatigure, lactic acid build up and sometimes cramping. I wonder if carno has shown any benifits here and if you havent tried it yet i would be interested in seeing your results with it in that aspect.

Carnobolic may have helped but then again half the guys there where juicing.

Most likely over half. It's very very highly used even in the NPC. Unless you're doing a natural show, then I can almost guarantee that 90% of the competitors were using something. Congrats on your placing bro, how many people in your class? Did you have fun?

I was happy with my progress. I gained a lot and learned a lot. I think there scale was off because I came in at 144 which made me light weight. No bantamweight any how for my class but I was told as a vegetarian and if there was a bantam weight I would have got maybe top 3 easily. I need to pack on more weight becuase I had the cut but not the size with some areas like my legs and chest. Also the guy that got in 1st place started at 180lbs 9% bf to to 154 5% bf so I though it was not fair. Any how I enjoyed my self and my carnobolic review comes to a end. I offically ran out yesterday.

I think it helped me with my posses but hard to tell as that only lasted for maybe 2 minutes on stage at most. If I can get 2 more people to compete next time that would be more fun. My best friend competed in the same weight devision as me he got in 5th place but he was sick a week before and lost almost 9 pounds of muscle but he does not take any supplements so I figured.

I will be giving a 8 out of 10 on this product.
8 because it was easy to take and liked the fact that I had no tingles.
If and when I take it again I will double the caps and try to get closer to the 4 grams clinical dose and see if it makes a difference. I need to re rack more weights at the gym people don't know how to put back the weights on there own (idiots). I think if I took a higher dose in my mind I would feel better thinking I would be getting closer to the clinical dose.

I will post pictures in just a few minutes. I am super tired and wish I could take a nap had 4 hours of sleep friday and 7 last night..

Carnobolic may have helped but then again half the guys there where juicing.

Def some juicing!

As long as it was a learning experience and you had fun.

Awesome review and videos through the log, I very much enjoyed a video style log.

Keep on training hard and keep up the good work, I hope you do some more video logs in the future buddy!

I will be doing them on the isolator soon. You will see. It's tough because I'm doing this all from a iPhone. I don't have a computer so it takes more time. I am enjoying the other two loggers and may the best logger win the final prize.

You looked pretty freaking awesome man, must have been some tough compeition. Looks like you liked the carnobolic, and im not suprised it helped a bit with your posing too!

Thanks. I'm glad I can give a honest review. Keep us posted for the winner.

That guy standing next to you was a lot whiter. being dark makes a person look much bigger on the day of the show.

Is it possible to know what other foundational supplements you took as these play a huge role ?

Yes.
My basic foundation is of couse foundation. I will list now that the log is over and you did ask.
My post work shake lets start with that. Physique workout maxamizer best post workout carb protein ratio shake out there that is natural and actually tastes good. I wait 10 minutes as I want my GH not to get blunted right away.

Mid workout I have been taking bcaa's not so much about the brand since I consume only 3 grams with in that hour.

Pre workout was carnobolic of couse with my basic creatine I have been using for a while. Also recovery factor which eliminates DOMS. My personal product not sold in stores. Just for me and my gym.

Shaklee Omega guard 100% omega 3 and 90+% EPA DHA at 4 grams a day. Sero others zero cholestrol tripple filiter for all the crap. Cheeper yet just as good as lovaza as both are ester omega'3s and both use at least tripple filterations to get that high of a level.
The reason I only took 4 grams vs what other are taking which is 10 grams and even 20-30 grams is all the beneifts (studies) come from the EPA and DHA and since I can consume less compared to other brands and get the same why not.

Vitalizer is like the animal pack not sure if people know but I like it over other vitamin packs as it has special dilivery systems for each tablet that inhance the absportion.

I also take Shaklee kosher vitamin D 4 tablets a day each at 1000IU. I waited on that since I try to get as much kosher products as possible and other brands were and are not kosher. This form is from vegetables which is a plus for me.

Shaklee VIVIX for its anti aging and increase ATP reasons as well as turning on certain geans.

Also take some antoxidants (Shakleecrotomax flavomax) with each meal making me get at least 5000 ORAC in antoxidants each meal.

I also take gear caps with my meals and inbetween meals. (BCAA and complete protein and blood plasma)

Need to slin in the morning.

I sometimes drink Shaklee Performance mid workout which is a Electrolyte product.

I know these basic foundations are over looked some times as it was not part of the log but I feel thats what makes the difference. Most the guys I competed with don't take preworkout products, they said including my best friend who just does food that they got to where they were at with out supplements. Most of them are working at the gym, own a gym or a PT and said 80% of the products on the market are bogus as non of the stuff is tested or FDA approaved and so they just get there clients including there selfs to just stick to food. Half the guys there don't sell supplements in there gym because its so bogus they said. I was probably the only one that was a supp hoor but I use products that are clinically tested and peer reviewed and I had vilidation to why I took them. Hope this helps John.
