small ModernBCAA review

Normally I don't order big and bulky items from overseas, I live in Europe and customs can be difficult sometimes, but when I saw the inner circle offer of 3 jugs MBCAA and 1 Jack3d I couldn't resist!
Even after customs intercepted my package, and decided to sit on it for two weeks and charge me 20 Euro's (lucky me) it was still a good price..

I decided to use the jug of unflavored ModernBCAA's first.. When I mixed two scoops in my water bottle with tap water and shook a couple of times it dissolved quick and easy. The sour taste was almost undetectable, I'm expecting some excellent tasting flavoured ModernBCAA drinks in my future :)

All good stuff, but here comes the best part:
I can usually tell if the workout I previously had was any good by how sore my muscles are the following days.
After I started using MBCAA during my workouts I noticed I had hardly any muscle soreness the days after, sometimes even no soreness at all. I have had to increase my workout intensity and volume to get close to the muscle soreness I used to have (and enjoy).

Very cool testament, man. I've got a stash of ModernBCAA that's up next for use once my bulk is used up - I'm very excited to use it :)

Well it certainly doesnt mix as well as its says it does. The powder is definately pretty fine but i guess that didnt matter. The taste is only mildly offputting.Taste good no way tatse bad not really either kinda hard to explain

did you use 20 oz of water? (10 oz for each scoop)

they mix clear, but the grape turns yellowish.

Strange, as I have absolutely no lumps or anything floating in my drink..
 
Yea I mixed it correctly actually i took a big gulp and then added more water and there was still stuff floatin around.
 
ModernBCAA is awesome. I also experience less soreness the less day. I have a general question. Is it better to use BCAA's before, during or after a fasted cardio session. I've been using it directly after, because I had read that during fasted cardio, your body uses the aminos as an energy source, rather than stored body fat? Anyway just looking for general advice.

I found out it mixes best with room temp water...after u mix it u can pput it in the fridge...mixes perfect that way
 
Could the lumping possible be due to chlorine or fluoride content? Or anything like that.. I know the tap water from my tap is comparable to bottled water..
 
How does this stuff compare to Scivations Xtend?. I may try it. Xtend seems to be better priced though. Also I like that Xtend has Citrulline Malate in it for additional energy especially during endurance type workouts. After I try it, and if I do like it enough to switch, I would like to see a bigger size.
 
I think it tastes great and mixes perfectly. More importantly, who cares what it tastes like, as long as you can "taste" the results. I experience virtually no doms the next day, since I've begun using ModernBCAA.

ModernBCAA has a higher amount of leucine, more BCAAs per serving, no artificial flavoring, and uses Sustamine instead of traditional glutamine. If you actually break it down to price per serving (ModernBCAA with 10 grams, Xtend with 7), ModernBCAA is a little bit cheaper. I've long been a user of Xtend and consider it a very good product, but ModernBCAA is on a different level.
 
Kudos for USP labs on this one, the sustamine is well worth buying this product and the white blue rasberry flavor is awesome !!!
 
I must be a sucker for the sweetness of watermelon Xtend cause I wasn't super impressed with the white blue raspberry taste. While is wasnt horrible, it just wasn't sweet enough for me.

I will see how sore my arms are tomorrow after a decent thrashing on them today. I am really hoping this stuff will help with leg DOMS cause its been a very long time since Ive trained my legs without being considerably sore the next day or two. But I will try to pay attention for the next few day.s

Sounds like the wait and ridiculous extra charge was almost worth it huh ;)

Grape and blue rasp are no joke! So clean and light in flavor...love it!

Bump to this! They need to offer this in a kilo size.

I have been using this for the last week, it is my new BCAA of choice, but I really wish there was a bigger size.
