One of my closest friends was attacked by a Bear last night while setting up camp within an undisclosed Mountain range. He managed to kill the Bear with a f*cking machete! I will hopefully have some pictures sometime this weekend, and I may be able to upload some to show you just how big this Bear was. On a good note, he was injured, but will not require hospitalization. He received 90 stitches, 14 staples, and a supply of narcotics for the injury. This is the 5th time that he has been attacked by a wild Bear, too. There's a reason why I always have him set camp up AWAY from my ass! Seriously, wow!

With a machete! That is Chuck Norris status in my opinion. He didn’t have time to grab his .30-06. He said he never even heard a crack or rustle (and he SF as well). Damn stealth Bear; he must have been SF Qualified. ;)

I really REALLY used to hate these guys (srsly, check out the metal thread,)



They're growing on me though, dammit. They're on a probationary period right now before their added to the queue w/ the rest of the bands.

Of course everyone knows there are only two types of music; country and western. :13:
 
It took me a while to get used to the technicality of the guitars, which I compare to a Nintendo game (8-bit Metal). One band tat uses such has really grabbed my attention lately: Brain Drill. These guys play pure **** & balls the entire time, with little to NO break. The breakdowns, however, are brutal and insane! Being a guitarist, I know just how complicated the riffs can be, so my hat is off to them.


And I want to share this one because, well - it kicks ass!
 
I don't know if I could ever get use to the technicality of the vocals lol. It takes a certain talent to wail and gurgle like that. A lot of people enjoy it, but I can't understand it.....

Agreed.

I'm all for heavy, but when I don't know what the hell they're saying, I lose interest fast.

New Manticora album came out this month. A non-roaring vocalist that may take some getting used to. I love this band and I'm getting this off Amazon as we speak.



My favorite album of their's is still 8 Deadly Sins. Heaviest Power Metal I've heard.

Anybody having a good weekend out there? Not bad over my way. Got out on the bike a bit, had a fire at my sis's last night with the family. As usual, things got burned that should probably not have gone into a little fire pit....but the TV stand was just SO COOL!!!! :D

Halloween's coming up. I have to convert a F350 into a float by Tuesday night, taking Thursday off to do it up for Trick-or-Treat, and probably Friday just to veg out. Does anybody else have 'treat on an odd night, or is it just the 'tards in my area who decide that way?!?! I mean, c'mon... IT'S A SCHOOL NIGHT!!!! Why, oh, why?!?!?! Ugh...

Oh, and by the by, cheap pop - Watch for any new threads started by me in the next 2 days. Shiznit's about to get FREAKin fun!!! :D :head:
 
Nothing too exciting over the weekend, went by Cigar City Brewery though, and picked up a few quarts of different microbrews. That was nice :)
 
I was in milwaukee with the guys for the weekend. Which means excessive drinking, cheat meals constantly, and bar tabs that are larger than my 401k.

...it goes without saying that I will be busting my ass at the gym this week.
