chocolate dipped strawberry....i'm salivating.

how does this taste?

I heard chocolate was awesome...and heard chocolate casein was one of the best caseins ever. I'm really interested in trutein

Chocolate banana is excellent, have some vanilla to try today pre-workout but so far TruTein is excellent!

choc dipped strawberry is 100% accurate. Best tasting protein I have had to date :wall:. It even has real bits of strawberry in it..epic and groudbreaking.

My GF tried it today and I finally found one she said is AWESOME and wants me to buy her some... amazing you made something so I can get her to eat in the morning. I am especially ticked knowing how good it is and the fact that she got the only sample of it! Time to get some with my next NP order. About to down some Vanilla, this will be the true test since it is my least favorite protein flavor.

Update - Vanilla is very accurate, mixes perfect and actually reminds me of a good French vanilla ice cream like Blue Bell. Trutein is the real deal boys!

Got my chocolate peanutbutter today. Hate to be cliche and repetitive but it honestly is the best tasting protein. I let my bro try some and he agreed.

I have to agree, downright amazing tasting.

Thanks all the great feedback. It's tough to make ground against the big boys like Optimum and Cytosport, but we're slowly doing it on the grounds of 1) taste/flavor, and 2) nothing hidden in proprietary blends.

We have a couple more product launches in the upcoming weeks, so please be on the look-out. Thanks again for all your support!

trutein is one of the best tasting proteins I have tried. It is far better than ON or Cytosport. the vanilla is one of the best tasting vanillas on the market. tastes like melted ice cream. Trutein will be a staple protein for me for a while.

Would really love to see your 6lb SelectPro Isolate at the Planet ASAP.

Your vanilla description is right on man, could not have said it better myself. I had chocolate peanut butter last night, excellent as well along with the regular chocolate. Trutein is fantastic, I will be buying at least 2 jugs here ASAP.

So I am almost out of my current tub on ON. I was going to try Nutrapro this time, but with all this insanity surrounding Trutein, I am leaning towards getting a tub of it. Or...just get both.

They both have their place and I am not going to stop my NutraPro, it is excellent pre-workout or if i need some fast digesting protein. TruTein I see as an excellent meal replacement/nighttime protein or pre-workout if you are don't care so much about fast absorbing protein.

as oufinny wrote, the rule of thumb is that post-workout you want to go for a fast-acting whey. For a breakfast shake, mid-meal snack, or in the evening, a blend such as contained within Trutein is optimal. The reason for this is the sustained-release protein blend (casein, egg & whey) promotes sustained positive nitrogen balance, and also helps you keep you feeling full for longer because the casein & egg coagulate within your stomach to slowly release amino acids over a duration of time.

If you are speaking to me....I already know that.

I don't get the attitude for explaining there is a place for both... and for someone unfamiliar with the benefits having that to read is beneficial.

I was just looking at this stuff on Nutraplanet. I just got 3 pounds of perdue Perfect portions individually wrapped roasted garlic with white wine boneless skinless chicken breast for $11.99. Plus I got 2 pounds of Berkly and Jensen Wild Caught Sockey Salmon Filets for $18.99, and another 3 pound bag of perdue skinless chicken thighs for $6.50. The total for all that meat still doesn't even come close to $50.

Fifty bucks for 5 pounds of protein?. Thats insane, no matter how good it tastes!. I'll keep eating my chicken and salmon, you can have your $50 protein all to yourselves.

Let me know how well that chicken works in your shaker bottle on the road to work after a workout.

Simple Math Lesson:

5g protein/oz @ 16oz/lb @ 8lbs = 640g protein for $38

25g protein/scoop @ 67 scoops = 1,675 g protein for $50

over 2.5x the amount of protein you purchased for $12 more.

More math... 38/640= $0.06/g protein 50/1675= $0.03/g protein

Also its more convenient and its much easier to drink 2 scoops of protein then down 10oz of chicken. Obviously whole foods should be your mainstay but don't be naive to the obvious benefits to a good protein powder.

Additionally, no one said that protein shakes should take the place of your regular whole food diet. That is why they are called supplements.

However, I will stand by trutein 100%. Been using it for a while now, and have not found a better blend. I have several buddies of mine using it as well.

I may have mis-represented what I was trying to say. I just think that the brand is kind of expensive. Basically the product is priced out of budget constraints.

This is a Casein product, which you only take one scoop a day at night. This will last you 2 months. But the cost is about right. Normal 5lb protein is around 30 bucks. So, if most people take 3 shakes a day... thats 2 whey and 1 casein, your actually spending MORE money on your whey.. which would end up being 60 bucks for a 2 month supply. Overall this is not a bad price for what you get.

If your interested in this product and trying it out, but its not in your budget, they also have a 2.5 tub for 30 bucks. That would last you a full month.

trutein is not just casein. It is 40/40/20 whey/casein/egg.

Right, but I suppose what I'm saying is, its very effective used as a pre bed shake as opposed to a simple whey shake.
