Please help me. . .

Okay so my boyfriend is 24 and has low testosterone. He feels like crap ALL the time. He has no problem with ED or sex drive. However his sperm count is low and mainly he feels like his head is always cloudy and that he can't focus. He's lost all drive to do anything. We have been to 3 ENDO's and all of them recommend TRT with Test. Injections. Well we are trying to have kids so it would be harmful to do that. So I've done some research and I've read alot about HCG being used to treat low testosterone. But I can't seem to find a DR. around here that's using this treatment. Agh. It's so frustrating! We did go to a reproductive Endo. about 6 months ago. He put my boyfriend on 25MG of Clomid a day. We did this and here are my boyfriends results before clomid:

Testosterone Serum:169 Flag Reference: 241-827
FSH: 3.6 Flag Reference: 1.4-18.1
Prolactin: 7.9 Flag Reference: 2.1-17.7

Then after 2 months on 25mg of Clomid daily his results were:

Testosterone Serum: 1126 Flag Reference 280-1100
FSH: 9.8 Flag Reference: 1.0-8.0
LH: 8.0 Flag Reference: 2.0-12.0

So as you can see clomid raised his levels ALOT! Well since they were a little to high the reproductive Endo. took him off clomid all together. Agh!

Although even when he was on clomid he didn't seem to feel a whole ton better. A little but not a ton. We are honestly at our ropes end. Not one stupid Dr. seems to want to help and he still feels like crap. And I'm also worried that if we don't do something he will never be able to have kids. Any help would be amazing! Thanks so much!!!!!

so even with clomid he still did not get your pregnant? hcg does work sometimes but most docs wont prescribe it for men to my knowledge. tyr contacting unreal machine or liberterian both can be found on my log on page 2 or 3 on here : Invalid Link Removed

on side note im suprised how good clomid worked...
 
what, i'm not an expert on this, lol. First of all though you should stop worrying about him being able to have kids because there's a huge difference between having low testosterone and being sterile. And there have been lots of guys on TRT, or on insane cycles of high-dosed testosterone, that still get their girls pregnant. So get that burden off your shoulders because that must be heavy to think about.

I am unsure of how much he would benefit from HCG... by the numbers, clomid fixed his problem with testosterone, if that is the case then he needs to find some motivation within himself... If his testosterone is way above average then there's no excuse anymore. And by the way it isn't hard to get more clomid without a doctor.

Are you trying to get pregnant right now and not succeeding?
 
I believe hcg has been associated with increasing sperm count in the testes as well. im not 100% sure though. I've only seen it mentioned in some studies while researching the compound for shocking the testes back into production.

but if you want to give hcg a shot, here's what you can do....

you'll have to find a health and beauty clinic for hcg. docs use it as cosmetic weight loss. look for ads in local magazines like "hcg diet"

or you could just go to mexico and bring it back.

or search for websites that sell hcg, there are lots of them.

then, once you find the site that intrest you, research that websites reputation.

reviews on the products it sells, whether it is a scammer site, if there are any users that have not recieved their product, if those users were helped out by the company.

then all you have left will be to test the waters, and buy some.

make sure you do plenty of research on giving injections properly.
 
none of us are doctors. if the clomid got his test levels up that high and u still cant get pregnant, then he may be sterile. not one person on this site can/should tell u what drugs ur boyfriend should to be taking.

find a doctor that is willing to work with u. has ur boyfriend ever gotten a sperm count? u ever think that this could be because YOU are not fertile?

just because he has low test levels doesnt necessarily mean his sperm count is low
 
First of thank you all for your help and insight. We are actively trying to get pregnant but to be honest my biggest concern is the way he feels. Clomid did help his testosterone levels alot. I'm just curious as to how we can purchase it if we don't have a script from a Dr. Sorry I'm new to this and just trying to learn as much as possible. My other question is as far as HCG injections Do any of you happen to know anything about dosage? Also can Hypogonadism be reversed? Like if we get his testosterone levels up is there a chance that they could stay up without having to use meds? Thanks again!

He has had several sperm count done they have all been really low. The Dr's have all told us that it's so low due to his low testosterone. We knew the problem with concieving would likely be him because I have a little girl. I have also read alot about hcg stimulating the testicles to produce sperm as well as raise the testosterone level. I guess I was just looking for anyone that can relate or that might have any expirence with hcg. I really want him to be able to feel better aside from the whole concieving thing and none of the Dr's seem to want to help. Does anyone know if clomid can "restart" the system so that you can go off it and still maintain heathly levels without meds?

unfortunately as of right now, it can not be reversed so far.

but, the data, and research on this is very limited. which is why you aren't going to find a lot of hrt docs ready to fix his problem.

they dont know how.

the research shows serms like clomid/nolvadex are able to increase test levels, but when the patient comes off, levels return to baseline.

serms aren't safe to be used for long extended periods.

as far as hcg being able to completly restore production. there just isn't the data/research to show if it will, or will not.

it will though increase productoin in the testes temporarily.

but what it's going to come down to is test results, and what doctors can do.

and unfortunatelly, you may have to contact a number of doctors, d/t this is not an area of a majority of doctors knowledge.

best advice I can give you is to find out how to get in touch with the best MALE hrt doctor or clinic in the country and possibly he can find a way to help you.

at the least enough for you to get pregnant.

you can also search for an episode of doctor oz, I believe he had a couple on that had this same problem, and it was d/t the weak sperm, he sent them to a specialist to try to strengthen the sperm so they could get pregnant.

maybe google "dr. oz cant get pregnant" or something?
 
jbryand101b: Thanks for your help! And it's really to bad that there isn't more research being done to try to correct the problem instead of just being able to maintain it. It has really shown me how much it can affect someone's quality of life. I will try googling Dr. Oz and seeing if I can find anything. But if I can't figure out something soon then we will just have to do Test. Inject. because I don't want him to feel like crap all the time.
 
No one here can tell u exactly what it is.

But wow clomid raised his test a lot.
Guess we can run it as a natural test booster now lol. Those are really good results.

P.S. Try some folic acid and zinc combo. Supposed to raise sperm by 73%
