Good Fellas or Donnie Brasco?

I like both movies about equal, classic mob style Pachino/Denero greatness. Which do you think is better? Lets hear some opinions.

The story in that movie is brilliant. Just goes to show you, you never really know if you are being set-up, or making good connections.
 
my money for Brasco. Never got into the whole gangster film thing, but the Brasco story was awesome
 
donnie brasco!

the on screen chemistry between pacino and depp is one of the best i have ever seen in all the history of film cinema.
 
Brasco without-a-doubt.

I just watched "Public Enemy" the story of John Dillinger. Decent flick, but not what I had hoped. Johnny Depp was dreamy though...:rocketwhore:

I'm going to have to say...."word, I agree." There is a very real ease of interaction between them, Fahgetaboutit.

He's def top 3 in my book. Edward Scissorhands is still one of my favorite movies. Sleepy Hollow is fukcin awesome also.

i must say i'm not a huge fan of good fellas at all, i remember the first time i saw it and heard everything everyone had to say....very let down

The first half of the movie is kinda corney, but the second half is great. It all fits together to the overall plot, and story. Perhaps you shouldn't listen to everyones opinion, and go in with an open mind to new things. Yea I can be a prick, but I hope you see the hidden message.
 
everyone thought it was amazing, my buddy loves it, but i wasn't so much into it....just an opinion but casino is my favorite gangster movie if not favorite of all time

That and Heat are in a totally different category imo. Heat is one of the most in depth movies on the topic. Pachino and denero in the same movie as enemies!!! That's just straight gangsta. Casino is a long, and less intense movie, but still a classic no doubt.
 
Good Fellas. I can watch that anytime. So damn good. One of my favorite parts is in the beginning with the postal worker getting threatened.

I have to agree, I am actually excited to take my daughter to the new Alice in Wonderland just because with him and Burton I know it will be good.

I still remember him from 21 Jumpstreet

I just watched Donnie Brasco like 20 min ago's, I can't really choose between these two.

Casino hands down is my favorite Mob movie of all time.

The only movie that I could never really get into and was liked by everyone was Scarface.

I agree scarface is def overated. It ok, but there are waaaay better movies imo

Youtube, its broken down into like 15 parts, thats how I watch Goodfellas. It's Donnie Brasco, not Brasco. Just so you get the right search results.
 
Just watched donnie brasco last night because of all the good things I heard about it in this thread. I thought its was ok, but I liked goodfellas a lot better

I had to see it a few times before I could appreciate it. Goodfellas is much easier to follow.

Another classic scene. Watch the three trust fund babies get an education in life! "Don't shoot." LOL. As much as I like Donnie Brasco as well, it doesnt have any scenes as visceral as this.
