Wrasslin' MINI Log

rofl at 'my old athletic ways', sorry wrasslin you will understand when you get 51, lol. good luck on quitting cigs.:veryhappy:

I don't want to sound like a stick in the mud, but why keep the fats so low Monday through Friday? Why not throw it up to 100-150g and drop the protein down to 150 or so?. You'll get to eat walnuts/almonds/peanuts all day!

Eh, I don't know, I'm still not used to the mindset of having fats as my primary energy source for food yet lol. You'll be seeing them getting steadily upped over time though that's for sure, I'm pretty much just tip-toeing my way through my new way of eating. Protein will always stay 200-250g though and go up as my weight does whenever I get around to looking to gain some mass again which probably won't be until' after basic this summer.

True! Lol. I just got to say that because it fits in with what 'stuff' happened the past 7 months and me being back on course again.

Did I fill you in on what all happened the past 7 months? I don't think I ever explained it to anyone on here as it's not something I'm going to post openly.

Day 21

Wow, 3 weeks in already! Well workouts today were unbelieveable!! Chest this morning went hard, 15-25 reps for everything, this morning all I did was incline benching and flyes and at the end of the workout I looked in the mirror and was shocked, there were veins crawling all over the top of my chest! I couldn't believe and thought it was shadows or something so I felt it and yep they were veins! I havn't had veins like this since last year when I was in competition shape. I ended up finishing the workout with 10 burpee/treadmill sprint/bike sprint and then I repeated that and finished up with abs since I was out of time.

After school today I went up to the rec with my friend (I'm good at convincing her to take me places). I warmed up with 25 minutes at max HR and max incline on the elliptical then went to do some rear-delts 15-25 reps each and my shoulders were so pumped it made me have to drop down the weights I was using! It was an intense workout though, I'm pretty sure all eyes were on me, I couldn't believe how I looked in the mirror especially when I was going thru the lifts. I had RIDICULOUS veins going on throughout my upper body! And I decided even though today was a high rep day I wanted to see if I could still do the weights I used to do for flyes (60lb each hand) and I surpassed it! I ended up getting 70's in each hand for 3 reps! And that's when I decided to call it quits for the day haha. I might be doing a little chest again later tonight just for the fun of it...Depends on my energy level and I want to since all I did today was upper chest.

Oh and also update on body composition, besides all the veins I've been talking about I seem to be very steadily dropping body fat even with my longer than normal refeed days (3-4 days instead of 1 and a half). And also I checked the scale today, I had NO idea what to expect since I've been filling out but dropping lots of BF. So I stepped on....And weighed 153!! I started out this log at a puny-no muscled and somewhat fat 140, so you can imagine I was freaking out!

Muscle memory is awesome ehh? Those periods of time when you stop lifting for a while then jump back in and your seeing insane gains i love em. Nice work so far too btw bro.

very true, nice post. reps

The only reason I'm being a squeaky wheel about this is that you won't be able to go keto with your protein that high...but I guess that's not necessarily a bad thing if you're just looking at breaking away from carbs.

This will be my last post about diet in here. :32:

Ha it's cool bro, all input is welcome! :bigok:

But I'm not exactly trying to go keto exactly, I'm just eliminating carbs and doing a fat/protein diet. The only days I guess you could call real keto days would be Friday until the refeed and also Sundays.

Sorry for the confusion lol.

Day 22

Had a GREAT workout this morning, had very good mind-muscle connection going on with my back workout. This morning I did who knows how many sets of 15-25 rep outer grip pull downs, then same with close grip pull downs followed by 10 burpees/treadmill sprint/bike sprint/repeat and then finished with 50 leg raises and 100 crunches.

We had a dodgeball tournament at my school today and I think I'll count that as my cardio for the day! I rocked my friends sleeveless shirt and everytime I walked down or back up the bleachers and around the halls before and after the tournament all I got the WHOLE time was comments from people on how massive and ripped I've gotten again, some people are saying I'm even bigger than before (which I doubt). So needless to say that was a great confidence boost getting comments from girls and guys from my highschool non-stop all afternoon!

Ended up turning today into a somewhat refeed day though, can't blame me to much because you know how classes are the day before Christmas break....There is no where to hide from the food! But got home and did some more back with an INSANE pump going, did a bunch of 15-25 rep regular grip pull downs and 1-2 sets of same reps with wide and close grip pull downs to finish and called it quits for the day!

Now since I had this somewhat refeed I'm pretty sure tomorrows leg workout is gonna go HARD!

I wish i was like that threw high school would of made it easier lol, but i finnally started lifting hard right after high school so i missed out :12: Nice progress so far you seem to be very very determined which is great.

Ha yeah.. A lot of my friends that only partialy workout or always tell me they want to start working out because they want this kind of attention but never take it seriously once I start offering them to workout I just tell them that their gonna be wishing they did in the long run....lol.

But yeah bro, I never had this much determination before, or thought I could get this much lol I love it, it's really paying out! I went from being like this but better when I was in the shape I was in last year to nothing when I was going through my 'bad' phase this year to everyone flipping out over me again :bigok:

these are good times for you, enjoy the hell out of em. just shows what hard work and determination can do.

Oh I'm going to make the most of them....I just want to go back in time and give the person I was being for the last 6-7 months a nice big back hand!

Day 23

Ok I was origanally going to call this a 'Go Hard' workout day...But I think the 'Workout from Hell' is a better name for them!

This morning I got up, went up to the Y and did about 10 minutes warming up on the elliptical at max HR, and decided since it was leg day I was going to start off with squats....And that turned out to be an HOUR long session of supersets consisting of nothing but squats/calf raises at 15-25 reps with about a minute rest between sets if that. It was INSANE, I had veins running up my calfs that I never even knew existed, and my legs were never this pumped in my life it was nothing short of amazing, by the end though my back was messing with me really bad so I got pissed off and put my belt on (should of done that at the beginning I know I know) and added about 20 more pounds to the weight I was doing (it was machine squats so I don't count weight on those) and took my sweatshirt off to just my tank I was wearing and did a set of 15/20/25 decreasing the weight 5lbs each time with no break in-between. Again today, everyone was stearing at me lol it was pretty decent.

Then around 2:00 I went back up with the thought in mind that I was going to go until I couldn't stand....And I made that happen! I ended up going easy by warming up on the elliptical for 10 minutes max HR, then doing supersets (well supersets with no break between the supersets) with leg curls and bodyweight calf raises, then after that I did a little bit of strait leg deadlifts and then I did a bunch of calf raises and did them on top of a plate so I had more movement. After that I didn't see anything else for weights that would do much or make me not-standable so....Decided it was sprint time! I ended up doing 8 laps around the track there, sprint 100, jog 100, sprint, jog you get it at each 100....So that was 8 laps and I could still stand so I was like F it and did 10 burpees/10 mountain climbers then repeated, then did some rocky's and was still stand but barely....So I did 10-to-1's with jumping jacks and crunches followed by 10 more burpees and 10 more mountain climbers, by the 10th mountain climber I just rolled over after it and COULD NOT get up if my life depended on it! I was just laying there gasping for air and was just smiling and thinking 'Mission Accomplished!'

So after that I gave my self a job well done by laying in the sauna for about 30 minutes, showered and left. Turned out my mom still had about 20 minutes til' she could get me so I just started walking for that 20 minutes with my 15-20lb bag on me....So I think today is finally earned!

Oh and I saw my buddy whose the head program director at the Y and gave him my app and he got all excited and said when I stop in again the head personal trainer guy should be waiting for me so that's cool....And he also commented on my looks haha I guess I have changed alot since 3 weeks ago! In exact words he said ''Wow man, you've gotten massive what have you been doing?!" So that was a good boost....Haha.

Oh and it's official now and I just wanted to let everyone know....

2010 Mr. Ohio is now in my sights again!
It's on now....After much thought and consideration, even though my wrist is still broke I'm going to do it, I'm not going to let a little broken wrist get in my way, right now I'm going to stay on my diet I have until I formulate a new one.

So far I have it planned that until Febuary or mid Febuary THE LATEST I plan on having a diet leaning more towards mass gain, body fat levels will dictate how the diet will go. As for how the diet until then will be I have two ideas so far, I'm going to put alot of thought the next couple days into this....But so far it's a toss up between upping my fat intake by double or more....Or instead of having a 2 day in a row refeed each week, I may do 2 half-day refeeds each week on days of lagging bodyparts.

Ideas are MORE than welcome....Will be putting a lot of thought into this! I don't want to up the cals too much, but then again I can and will always lower the second that fat gain starts coming even the slightest to much.

it doesn't work that way-you had to go through what you did to get to where you are at today. chalk it up to experience.

Yes your right....Live and learn.
I'm thankful that I went thru all that and it making who I am now.
Just would have been nicer if I would have got to this point without that you know? Lol.

it's called character and you are a better man for having gone through it and still be standing tall. character doesn't come easy but it teaches you what dignity really is. be proud!

Thanks a lot man! I'm determined to never even come close to that road again, ever.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone....Hope all of you are enjoying some Christmas cookies like me! Haha, first time I've let myself eat at Christmas since 8th grade I think!

long overdo, enjoy. and merry christmas!

Alright, Merry Christmas everyone!

Had to say that and post the update of my new lifting routine.....
Monday- Chest/Rear delts
Tuesday- Back/Traps
Wedsday- Shoulders
Thursday- Legs
Friday- Biceps/Triceps
Saturday- Off (except for bodyweight working with refeed)
Sunday- Cardio only

So basicly everything is the same except Wedsday and Thursday are switched as my legs day goes hard and leaves me barely walking in the days following so I figured to do it the day before I start refeeding so I don't lose any cardio during the week.

Day 27

Alright sorry for the lack of updates, been busy hanging out with family and friends because of Christmas and I've just been enjoying myself pretty much.

But anyways, today is a scheduled off day but man I got some cookies to burn off! So this morning I decided to do some sprints....Ended up doing 8 sprints in my drive with about 10 sec rest inbetween, then went inside and did some abs, 30 sec sprint on the bike followed by 1 minute walk on the treadmill then repeated and finished off with 50 leg raises.

So that was a decent cardio session....May do some more tonight, I'm not sure but either way next update should be tomorrow!

Oh yeah, forgot to add this!
I decided to weigh myself after my cardio this morning....And my weight is back up to 159 flat!! And it's pretty much ALL lean except for a few pounds of water weight which is obvious from all the food, and maybe 1-2lbs IF that could possibly be added fat....All I know is it's mostly muscle and water so that's a two thumbs up in my book!

Beginning of log:
140lbs with sloppiest muscle I've ever seen on me, and no abs showing.

4 weeks in:
159lbs with pretty visible abs, raw definition, veins galore and MUCH more muscle mass.

So 19lb gain in 4 weeks WHILE losing fat.....Needless to say I'm feeling very accomplished at the moment! Still got a LONG way to go but if it keeps going the way it is, I'll be where I was before and maybe better hopefully in no time!

So 19lb gain in 4 weeks WHILE losing fat.

Be honest, you're using MT products aren't you? :006:

Awesome update man. We're all allowed to indulge during the holidays. Family first.

19 lbs in a month is just ridiculous, hell it took me 2 months to put on 24 with test cyp injections, lol.

Yeah, but wrasslin's got that whole peak hormone thing that always gets kicked around in the anabolics section. At his age it's just nasty how well diet and exercise result in natty gains. GET BIG!

that just plain sucks, lol. even with 200mg wekkly test cyp his test is probably twice what mine is-damn.:eek5:

Day 28

Ok....Well last night we'll say at the very least my appetite is back and no pizza gets left behind!

But for todays workout, I think it went harder than Kimbo Slice! I decided to add a new sick twist to my workouts and days that I workout when I can't make it to a real gym.....After every set in my workouts I will either be incorporating 10 burpees or 20 mountain climbers THEN take my break between sets, and that started today, I love it!

Today was chest and rear delts and I decided today everything was going to be pyramid style along with my 10 burpees after every set.....So this morning I did a pyramid on bench starting at a weight I could do 50 times and worked down until' I reached a weight I could get for 3 reps, then worked my way back up.....So that equaled out to about 10-12 sets with 10 burpees after each set. After that I moved on to a pyramid of incline flyes which was 3 sets going down in weight, 3 sets going back up because I have limited weight choices of dumbells at my house, and that included 20 mountain climbers after each set and 40 after the last set then I did some abs and called it quits.

My 2nd workout of the day I did a pyramid a rear laterals doing pyramids which equaled to about 9 sets, then I did cable pulls for rear delts which equaled to about 6 sets and that was it for them, they were already burnt out a bit from chest. Also I was doing 10 burpees after each set with those too.

So todays workouts were GREAT, my size and strength is just soaring back! I may do a light chest workout here in a bit of just incline bench because I barely did any upper chest today but besides that today is deffnitly going to be me laying down on my couch dead lol.

Day 29 (Late Update)

Ok, didn't get a chance to update yesterday because I was gone from after my workout in the morning until about 11 or so going to the mall, Cici's, her basketball game she was cheering at and blabla.

But for the workout, I had the most insane mind-muscle connection I can remember ever having during my back workout! I did my morning back workout which consisted of a pyramid of pull-downs starting at a weight I could do for about 50 reps and increasing the weight until I got down to where I switched to pull ups for the lower reps and when I hit a weight for 3 reps I went all the way back up so we'll say it was easily 10-12 sets with 10 burpees after each set.

I didn't get to workout again yesterday though so along with shoulders today I'm going to do some more back. But, yesterday I TORE up some Cici's, and again no piece of pizza gets left behind! Me and my friend (she's also my workout partner), decided to go to the mall so she picked me up after my workout and we went, hungout there for a bit and then we were debating on getting Cici's since it was right next to the mall, and I figured since I'm supposed to be trying to put a little bit more muscle weight on the next couple weeks I figured 'what the hell, lets go' and that resulted in me and her betting on how many plates stacked of pizza I could eat.......It ended up totalling to 6 plates STACKED with 4 slices each of pizza then 1 plate with an apple crisp pizza, 2 cinnamin rolls and 2 brownies before we had to go because of the game she had to cheer at. And once again I think that most if not all of the food went to my muscles because it looks like all I'm holding is maybe a pound or so of water, maybe half-to a pound of fat and the rest of me just looks completely FILLED out and jacked, I love it!

Now on either New Years day or the day after me and her are going to the mall again since I forgot my credit card and she forgot to get shoes......And me and her are going to put my eating skillz to a test because yesterday not even 10 minutes after we left I was like "Is it sad that I want more pizza already?" so we decided that were going to see if I can step it up haha.

hahaha, going to keep this log clean so i won't comment on what i would be eating if i were you, lol. keep up the good work, sounds like life is good right now.

Haha that Cyp kickin' in I take it?
Your not the only one thinking it though lol.

Day 30

Ok, first workout of the day went very good. I did a LONG pyramid of military presses with 20 mountain climbers after set. Then I moved on to a pyramid of side laterals, almost shit myself, last week when I did side laterals and used the 35lb dumbells all I got was 8 reps, sad I know.....But today I got 16 reps! And the puny 20lb ones I got 50 reps! And as usual this was on an empty stomach as it was my first workout of the day, and those last sets with the side laterals I stepped it up to 40 mountain climbers after each set.

Stay tuned for workout #2 coming soon!

Day 31 (Late)

Didn't get a chance to update as it was New Years and I was pretty busy haha....
I did get an alright workout in that morning you could say though, I think I got a pyramid of about 13-15 sets of squats in.....Wow that killed me haha, ended up loading my home gym with almost everything I had and STILL got 8 reps, that was a PR itself, but since it didn't kill me and I was running out of time the last 3 sets was back to back to back, I'd do the weight then immediatly take a plate off and add a lower-weight plate and go again with no rest, that ALMOST left me laying on the ground haha, GOOD workout, I love squats, there is nothing that hurts so good!

Day 32

Took today off because I stayed at my workout buddies house and me and her stayed up pretty late....Haha.

Tomorrow though I'm hitting up some arms and might throw in some back before I start feeding my face some more haha.

Well today when I was out getting some food I saw this little Tai Chi DVD and book package for $4 and I've always wanted to checkout Tai Chai and also thought it might help me and my sleep issues.....So I figured why the hell not and picked it up, so I'm going to start this thing either tomorrow or Monday and see how it goes lol.

Who knows, maybe I'll actually get into it?
Time will tell haha.
