Never enough
Vigilance is Avant Research's new stim product. The ingredients are Geranamine, Alpha-Y, Synephrine, Tyramine. I was selected as one of the testers and received it this week on tuesday. I immediately tried one capsule, then wed took 1 capsule 2x during the day spread about 8 hours. Today I tried 2 caps each of 2 doses.

So far my impressions

  • Mood is good on it for a couple of hours post dose. Not euphoric, but positive
  • Mental alertness and focus are definitely enhanced, overall energy level less so. Note that today was an off day, so I had only tried 1 cap preworkout and hadn't noticed a difference. Tomorrow will try 2 caps preworkout, possibly with coffee
  • Appetite is slightly lower than normal
  • I am not noticing a severe dropoff in effects, they very gradually fade

As far as side effects, I am experiencing a little bit of heartburn/acid reflux feeling on and off, and a sort of odd feeling in my head. Somewhere between what a headache feels like and what taking PEA feels like. Blood pressure is in normal range so not related to that at all.

So far I like it, the mental alertness is what is most important to me anyhow even in the gym. Doing DC workouts its all about focusing intensity, so i'm pretty sure 2 caps preworkout will be helpful.

subbed! I havent recieved mine, but im sure that ill get it soon! Ill be watching to see how you do with the product, im pumped!

I like it not having caffeine in it, as I tend to drink a lot of coffee anyhow. The mental alertness is quite nice

I'm curious so I'll follow along my AN comrade.

Cheers!

Yea that will be AWESOME, i think the delay will allow me to comment more on the mental alertness because im getting into exam time right now.. the gym time goes down a little bit, but the studying goes up like no other....

law school exams are tough times...

took 2 caps preworkout today with no caffeine. No deep feeling of energy, but good focus and connection if not exactly aggression. Major lifts were up, and still felt good after the workout.

Sunday was a workout day again, took 2 caps with 200mg of caffeine. No huge rush of energy or anything like that but felt good, and aggressive. Weights were all up again, more than I expected. managed to go up 60lbs on hack squats and gained 2 reps on top besides. Pretty nice. Never really notice it fading out either. With the caffeine added noticed some significant thermogenic effect, I was sweating by the end of the first set of preacher curls.

I think you're not supposed to take more than 1 at a time, and at max 3 a day (1 cap, 3 doses) according to Savage.

That was a bit confusing what he said, but I don't feel overstimmed at 2. too late for this morning, but next workout I can try 1 + 200mg caffeine and see how it goes :)

today again weights were all up nicely, 15lb jumps on wide grip pulldowns with increased reps as well, same with low rows. Since i'm doing DC my splits are effectively 12 days and thanksgiving puts it an additional day off, and also i have to travel for work from dec 9-12. So it will be interesting to see in a couple of weeks when I get back to the same exercises what the results are. Thankfully Avant gave enough caps that it will easily last till then.

I checked the calendar, looks like repeats of workouts will start dec 1, so i'll get in a full set of duplicate workouts before the business trip to see if I can bump weights as much again. That would be pretty impressive to me.

quite a good mood, other than a little headachy sort of feeling. No blood pressure issue, plenty of water. Its not a normal headache, more like a very light warm feeling with a hint of ache. Doesn't affect mental clarity at all, just an odd feeling.

Really mostly seeing focus and concentration so far. With the caffeine added, seeing tons of thermogenic effect, i'm sweating way more than even usual

So the weights continue to move up, even using 1 cap of vigilance and 200mg caffeine seems to give nice focus and extra CNS stimulation in the gym. Did 6 deadlifts cleanly at 265 which although not a huge weight is still more than I've done 6 for in the past (I try and avoid deadlifts). I've never managed over 255 for 1 in the past.

Great log! I did not read this before posting my own, but I see that we are having similar experiences as far as the mental/physical effects go. Good to know...

Glad to see your having some success from it.

Congratulations on your deadlift PR. 265lbs is a lot of weight.

today was a fasted workout just because I didn't have time to eat pre. Took 2 caps and 200mg caffeine. Amazingly, still up 10lbs in bench, 5 in shoulder presses plus up in reps too.

Its intriguing. particularly being under-caloried, I would have expected just mediocre performance, maybe going up in weight but loosing reps.

Avant gave us a fairly large amount of caps, and dosed at just 2 workout days and 1 on some off days for a boost, this will last a while. I'm still bulking thru jan 1, but will definitely still have some left after that to use when I start cardio back up again.
