Accutane and PH's

Dermatologist just put me on Accutane, which I'm happy about because my face was really starting to bug me (on and off mild cystic acne for 2+ that was unresponsive to anti-b's and every topical solution). Seems to be working well, only 2 weeks in, but I'm wondering if it would be safe to run a mild PH like h-drol while on this medication. As per the accutane guidelines, I'm required to get blood work done every 2 weeks to keep an eye on things. According the dermatologist it's not that liver toxic but it's really just a precaution because a small percentage of do people have issues.

So I guess my question is: if blood work looks good so far, what do you guys think? I'll ask the doc this week when I go in but I want to have info for them when I do.

I know I'm probably gonna get ripped for this one but I'm really just curious!

Well I would say don't do it, but I'm sure it wouldn't be too bad with hdrol. You said you needed to get bloodwork every two weeks anyways, so if it did get bad at least you would be able to catch it early..

I highly dont reccomend accutane dude my lifting sucked while on it.Your joint hurt like hell, if your serious about training dont do accutane. Anything that puts stress on your body will hurt progress. **** ACCUTANE!

At the risk of being bashed, and with the reminder that every BODY is different... I ran accutane 20mg a day with my last cycle some months ago with Mass Tabs and UTT Tren. 2 Month accutane run, with the first month "on" and the 2nd month in PCT. I always had acne issues before doing any cycles, and the month on cycle my acne was worst than ever, but about 2 weeks off I was completely clear.. I mean super clear. So I was happy, new muscles and clean skin to go with it at the end of a cycle.

Mass Tabs AND Tren?? How did your blood work look?

Already got joint supplements going as a precaution man. Haven't had any joint pain yet and really only 1 lethargic workout so far, but I think that had more to do with not getting enough sleep the night before.

I'm really hoping my body will react well to the medicine and it has so far, granted I'm only 2 weeks in but I'm trying to take all the necessary steps to ensure that the sides don't affect my lifting (FINGERS CROSSED)!

I think you should be fine being hdrol is mild. if your really worried get bllod work done to check your liver during your cycle.

Decided on an epi pulse.. should be quite easy on the liver. Getting my blood work done again in under 2 weeks so we'll see how it goes!

Just watch out for the depression. I only ran 20mg daily and i got into a bad funk after about a month or so.

Accutane is great for killing off acne though. Best part is that off a cycle of only 20mg mostly all of the bad acne is still gone. The cycle ended over 6 months ago.

Yeah I'm keepin an eye out for the depression for sure. So far no side effects to report other than dryness, which is really what it's supposed to do.

It's good stuff, only a few weeks in and nothing new forming.

I ran it for about 2.5 months or so. Maybe shorter. I would definitely run it again even with the sides. My acne used to be nonstop all year long. I ran this before any AAS too

Do yourself a favor and buy some blistex medicated chapstick. The lips get pretty bad and the cold makes it worse.

dude do some research, both of theses products are bad for your liver, when on accutane you need monthly blood screenings....more importantly the after effects of accutane are MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AND KROHNS DISEASE!!!! there is a massive class action law suit right now, i know some1 that got both at age 20 shortly after taking accutane. GET OFF ASAP do more research

great info on the accutane. i will also be put on accutane at the end of november. i do have one question tho. ive had ance since i was like 13 so im ready for the crap to be gone forever. i hear accutane is somewhat of a miracle...that its pretty much a cure for some people. my question is when im done with the long accutane regimen and lets just say that i no longer have acne period, will running cycles bring back the acne like ive had for years or will there be just some pimples here and there that just go away?

I'm aware of the risks of accutane and have seen the commercial that probably informed u of the lawsuit. There are horrible side effects to so many RX drugs. Birth control can cause strokes or heart attacks for example. The percentage is very small but it happens. Sadly we live in a society where people sue mcdonalds for their obesity giving them health problems. All I'm saying is just because your friend got these problems doesn't mean everyone will. I know someone who has taken it twice in 25 years with no issue.

I've done ph cycles and had no more acne than when i was off. All were done after my accutane use. Maybe someone with more cycle history can chime in on this one.

is it really worth the risk? if these are some of the short term risks for some people then what will some of the long term risk be for some people be? unknown! people are getting flu shots with straight poison in them, mercury, formaldehyde, ethylene glycol(radiator fluid), aluminum and other neuro_toxins including phenol which nazi germany used as a lethal injection. long term effects? unknown! i can tell you there probably not positive! you rebel risk takers, dont be a statistic....do some research mercury never leaves the body!
HOW TO GET RID OF ACNE-

1 take a bath with salt of some sort for at least 20 minutes or if possible go in the ocean
2 use a moisturizer with no alcohol, no fragrance, and no oil, (i recommend complex 15 )
the science behind this is after you wash your face with soap, especially acne fighting face wash, your face gets too dry. Then your body tells itself to produce lots of excess oil to compensate. with a proper moisturizer (after washing) your skin will be hydrated so your body will produce minimal pore clogging oil. (alson dont use toners like pro active tells you to) just, soap, moisturizer, and if needed a mild benzoyl spot treatedment no more than 2%

The sides of Accutane are overrated! Well for me they were. 90mg a day for 6 months and then down to 60mg a day for 3 months i think it was. At a weight of 92kg. The only sides i got were dry skin and lips. For about the first few weeks the acne got worse but then after that it worked wonders! Still got about 60 20mg caps left, shame they expired about 10 months ago :(

not true, this has been around for over 20 years now, the long term risks are known, and they are minimal. For all the millions who have used it, there is a small handful that had significant sides.

People love to quote this **** that works for them. Most of it works while you are doing it religiously, but just washing skin does almost nothing for people with real acne. I used to be able to wash my skin 5x a day with **** from the dermatologist and rub bs cream on myself all the time and get minimal effects.

I finally got fed up with this and ordered accutane last year. I had more acne for a week or two then for about 8 months now i have never had such clear skin. Dry skin and depression during the end (which made me cut it short) were well worth the positive effects. To each his own, but if you have had to deal with huge welts all over your body for years and years you know the normal sides are well worth it.

Real acne is horrible, but if you are dead set on not using accutane then I highly recommend ProActiv Solution. I have been using it for years and it is a GREAT product. They even have Vanessa Hudgens, Jessica Simpson, and Jessica Alba as their spokes people  and rightly so. It's great stuff IMHO. And as far as the PH cycle...it's really up to personal choice. If it was me I probably wouldn't as to let the accutane clear my skin up and focus on supplementing to protect my joints and liver and then after my skin was cleared up and the accutane done I would hit up a cycle and enjoy the cycle with clear skin :D. But it's arguable no matter which way you look at it so it is really personal choice.

at 10-20mg a day, accutane does not have significant liver effect, but still has significant acne clearing effect

I guess personally I wouldn't want to risk it (I heard of someone having their liver enzymes triple when the tried it as well). But I have no faults with doing it if you feel comfortable. And I trust Easy to know his stuff. But at the end of the day dude it is your personal choice.

Part of the problem is that doctors slap people on 80mg a day or even higher right off the bat. No attempt even to say run a lower dose for 4 weeks to see if there is improvement. Doctors are freakin crazy :D

Haha good thing I'm not technically a doc yet :D We docs are crazy people!

The normal doc appointment is pretty bad. People really really trust us and they should in most cases. But let me lay out the normal doc appointment:

People come in to the office and we discuss their problems--> :drunk:

Then we tell them what's wrong and they look like this--> :wtf1:

Then they discuss the treating options--> :argue:

They won't listen so we have to get rough--> :nutkick:

They decide that they want the treatment--> :toothache:

Then they think this of us --> :tool:

Or if it is a woman hopefully this--> :hitit:

And then everyone is happy -->

**Bottom line, trust the docs but do your research :D

I have seen hepatotoxicity at doses lower than 40mg, aside from complete disruption of your lipid profile. Accutane is an excellent drug itself with the need for close monitoring for toxicity and it is tightly regulated, more so than more lethal drugs, ie iPledge. I wouldnt risk any possible interactiont hat would cause you to stop the course of accutane. The acne must be pretty severe to be put on it so to disrupt this for the sake of the use of a prohormone would be foolish. Dont risk it.

There are different schools of thought for accutane use, either crush it off the bat or titrate it up as tolerated, both seem to work. Alot fo it is experience as well as comfort level with the drug.
