EXACTLY! I always wear my gear the day after we lose. I feel as it is a badge of honor. I'm sure the idiots are like, "why are those guys wearing that after a loss?"

Yep. Me too. Even after a dismal 3-9 season, I was wearing the blue and gold baby. Every team has 'em. Fairweathers.
By the way, I wish ND and FSU would schedule it up again. I miss those days.

Growing up near Pensacola, I saw the same thing with FSU "fans" in the late 80s and early 90s. Dude... it happens with every successful program. Christ, I'm an Alabama fan! I saw it on a daily basis as a kid. When Auburn started winning in the mid-80s, their bandwagon was loaded too. Smudging the reputation? C'mon man... don't you think that's a bit over-dramatic?:lol: Is there any fan base that's idiot-free?

It wasn't intended to be dramatic, it is true. Everyone where I live sees Florida Gator fans as a bunch of white trash; when in actuality it is the best public school in Florida. If that isn't a clear cut case of a tarnished reputation via the hands of unworthy fans then I don't know what is!

Exactly. I couldn't believe what I saw when I watch USC play. I've never seen so many thugged out scum bags in my entire life. The tailgate should have been named Walmart meets the DMV.

Jacory Harris is something special. No wonder Marve bailed out of there with his tail between his legs. Miami is the legit front runner for the ACC title, especially if their confidence continues to grow. Can't see them losing to V-Tech, and what looked like a Sooner-throttling of the Canes is now shaping up to be an interesting match-up.

Harris just impresses the sh#t outta me. Congrats, jmh.

I agree with your general point here, but it's absolutely ridiculous to think that FSU hasn't fallen victim of the same exact issues with moronic bandwagon fans; or any successful college program for that matter. It happens in every major sport with successful contending teams.

:rolleyes: Now these statements are being overly dramatic. The same type of negative views could be said about FSU, UM, UCF, FIU, or USF fans at any given point; depends on who you know or are talking to I guess...

Reputation is earned, built, and solidified over time. Bandwagon fans ultimately make their own "reputation" look foolish in the end; not a given team or university.
 
Wow. Just wow. We dominated every facet of the game last night. Our DL is real real nasty. The D really impressed. As I said knew we'd score with the balance on O. Just thought they'd run all over us.

Future is indeed bright. We'll see how this season progresses but no reason for this team to not contend for the title next year.

Seriously though, Monte's got the Vol "D" playing pretty well. I don't see anyone running up the score on them any time soon. The combination of Crompton's lack of ability and Lame's playcalling is horrendous though.

A win is a win. Florida didn't look impressive at times, but they got it done in the end. The UT defense played well, I certainly concede that. Fukc Lame Kiffin and his band of morons (Monty Kiffin is the only one I have respect for). It's a long ride back to backwoods Tennessee. That's 5 straight over the Volunteers. Florida now leads the all-time series. Number 1 is moving on. :D

The Irish haven't been competitive enough to HATE for years. You should just get over that.

Oh, and I've been a Tide fan since the mid-70s. Through the glory of the Bryant and Stallings eras, as well as through the DuBose and Shula debacles. Hell, the Tide hasn't won an SEC title in years. I've never once stopped wearing crimson the day after a "W" or an "L" though. But then again, in Bama's worst seasons, they were way more talented than any team ND has put on the field since Dr. Lou left. So, that being said, your loyalty is duly noted.:lol:

Not impressed with the Gators. They aren't what they were last year - don't care how many people returned.

Florida will trip up at some point this year, they always do AEB: zero unbeaten seasons in school history. 1995 was an unbeaten regular season but they got hammered by Nebraska in the Fiesta Bowl.

You would figure a way to put an anti-Big Ten spin on that. I would feel very good about Ohio State's chances playing Alabama. Alabama is not Florida, they are not an LSU either, hell they may not even be as good Ole Miss this year. That is a good win over Texas today....oh wait that was North Texas nevermind.

FACT = OSU (and the rest of the big 10) are OWNED by the SEC; especially when it matters. Not to mention, this season is 3 games in, and we are #1, and still undefeated, so bite your tongue, big 10 fan...

(at least the refs) Thanks to all the haters, too.Thanx to those who picked us in the ESPN fantasy. To those who didn't...f*ck off. We can pull through anything, when they decide too. I hope Michigan does well, and MState loses the rest of the season. Ohio Suckeyes, I hate you too. No offense Sucknuts...I mean Bucknuts...
 
I hate UT with Lame Kiffin and hate them even more because they have Monte Kiffin. I love the defense he runs and it pains me to root against him. It is hard to not love old defensive coordinators who run bad ass defenses. Ones who come to mind are **** Lebeau, Monte Kiffin, and Jim Johnson(RIP).

They lost, and LSU almost did...They let them put way too many points to be a number 9 now number 6-7 team...We gotta play the W too. Can't give input on that yet. Need to sober up and research things :) Washington has something going, unlike when Willingham had them.

bucknuts...im here to help you and the big 10. first, the big 10 is all over the place this season. Michigan looks alot better than i thought. Purdue, who i expected more out of looks pitiful on both sides of the ball. Michigan St. playing tough against ND today, looked lousy earlier in the season. Iowa seems to be getting back on track. Penn state, again looked sloppy today, albeit a good running game for a change.

As for a dominate conference, there isn't any. The SEC is solid at best. Take away Florida and their bogus schedule, and the SEC only has Alabama as a legitiment contender for the NC. After watching the Florida/Tennesse game i would put Ohio st and Penn State on the field with them now. But lets make it more interesting, have the game on a field north of the mason-dixon line in January. We'll see who is talkin $hit then.:laugh2:

I took Tenessee with the points..$$$$$. The gators are not who they were a year ago. If Lane Kiffin and Meyer were to fight, My money is on LK.
