johnyq's 1-T tren log

well today was an off day. My muscles are feeling really full! My workout from yesterday still has me walking a little funny, my glutes and hamstrings (and my lats??) are really locked up still.

Great feeling. Ive been having a series of bad squat days for a while now, and its nice to feel like I got some work done.

Nothing else to really log today. Lethargy still present, sex drive mediocre, skin decent.

yes, I'm not being as strict. For instance, last night I had a tuna wrap.

I skated to work this morning, and I'm in pain right now from the pump. I think I need to stretch out.

good log so far. Sorry so late gettin in on this but did you mention any support supps you were taking.
Ya, I listed everything in the first post. I'm taking sustain alpha, p-5-p, a resveratrol product, and grape seed extract. I almost started vitex, but the issue I had went away on its own.

Im glad to hear it, its good you decided not to get those nipple rings, uh... was that you? or another thread

Bro,
Been away for a while..
Saw you ripped of some new PR's by a wide margin.. Awesome!!:AR15firing:
The Tren did that for me to, gotta love that feeling, huh?

Hey your up like 5lbs in the last week.. Wow, mass gains just kicked the heck in, huh?
So I know for when I run my 1T-Tren.. what do you figure your doing for protein grams, carbs, fats, and total calories a day since the weight gain took off..
Peace,
DLM5

I had some sushi for lunch, it was awesome. Carbssssss:sleeping:

Its a really good feeling indeed.

The recent weight was sort of shocking. I probably wasn't eating enough clean food to allow myself to go anabolic at all. Once I added in some carbs, it was instant weight. Now I wonder if I could get a similar effect adding in a lot of calories through fat instead.

I don't know my macro ratios, as I don't count calories (especially last week as I was on travel and eating out). Sorry.

If you haven't bought your 1T tren already, they are having a buy one get one sale until friday, just a heads up.

that looks like a great PCT. How much more effective is the vitex than the P-5-P. I've been reading on that stuff for a while now. everything from B-6, to now P-5-P and vitex if you've gotten a flare up. I'm curious if the P-5-P is obviously for preventive measures and the vitex can actually help get rid better, correct?

I don't know the answer to your question, all I know is either I'm not prone to it, or the P5P is working. I chose to add P5P to my stack because it has other health benefits. Vitex seems pretty limited in its application, and I don't know enough about it to take it without good reason.

In fact, I haven't mentioned this yet, but thanks to the prodding of knowbull, I stopped taking my allergy meds. Usually this time of year I can barely function. Well something is different this year, I'm doing fine (very mild allergies). I have a suspicion it is the addition of a large amount of B6 (P5P), although the resveratrol is a fairly recent addition as well! Either way, I hope it continues like this, as it is a significant life improvement.

I did run out of my NOW P5P this week, and ended up replacing with AOR's B complex. I'm taking 100mg of P5P a day this way.
Serving Size: 1 Capsule
Benfotiamine 55mg
B2 (Riboflavin) 2.5mg
B3 (Niacin from Inositol Hexanicotinate) 115mg
B5 (Pantethine) 100mg
B6 (Pyridoxal-5-phosphate) 33mg
B12 (Methylcobalamin) 647mcg
Folic Acid 800mcg
Biotin 300mcg
Choline (Bitartrate) 200mg
Inositol (from Inositol, Inositol Hexanicotinate) 128mg

Day 25, april 23

Another off day

cardio:
fasted walk in the morning, about 20 minutes
2 x 15 minute skating sessions

The skating is fairly intense, but I think I'll work in some more conditioning in my off days from now on. Maybe some body weight exercises, something not involving the gym.

Diet:

wow, I overdid the carbs a little (ok, a lot), and feel bloated this morning. I'm going to weigh in high, I can see it coming!

I had sushi at lunch and calzone at dinner.

I'm at the last pump or two of my first bottle. So it lasted about 26-27 days!

Johnny,
I bought the same stack your running a while back, sitting on it for now..
Watch the carbs bro... Everyone has a balance point.. I don't eat a ton of carbs normaly, but I upped them on my cycle of Tren.. I did a dirty bulk, and it was 17.5lbs on a 6 weeks cycle, with another 5.5lbs gained 2 weeks before cycle.. Ya, that's 23lbs in 8 weeks, but I put on some fat too, and held alot of water.. I've cut the fat off now, but I over did the carbs on cycle.. If I had it to do over again I'd have kept the carbs moderate like I normaly do and gained less, but it would have been a cleaner gain.. Then I wouldn't have had to cut the fat out.. But at least I've for once did a hard fast dirty bulk.. I won't ever bulk like that again on a 6 week oral cycle, now a 12 week inject cycle, maybe.. but I don't like putting on the fat..
Next 6 week cycle I'm gonna keep my carbs at that balance point where I can gain muscle. but keep fat gain down...

Actually there isnt really anything to prevent it. If you are prone to prolactin issues, Vitex will supress those symptoms. Vitex is also thought to normalize excessive prolactin levels and promote fertility. It is normally used for PMS and symptoms relating to breast issues. These are mostly breast tenderness and fibrocystic breast disease.

P-5-P is mostly known for its actions on acid metabolism, and i dont really recall any prolactin prevention.

Bottom line, Vitex is cheap and known to work. Just becareful with SSRI's and some antidepressant meds. It may increase dopamine levels.

good info, thanks!

I had to work on my car, so I pushed back my workout schedule one day. The run was really weak, but at least I got some cardio in.

I have definitely seen a drop in motivation. Either just the lethargy or some mild depression maybe. I'm working through it, and I think I'll start taking RPM I have on hand just to perk me up.

No other signs of severe shutdown. My libido is still operational, although it is obviously lower than normal. Muscles hardness is up.

Bottom line, Vitex is cheap and known to work. Just becareful with SSRI's and some antidepressant meds. It may increase dopamine levels.

Not quite. Dopamine is a prolactin antagonist; IOW, high dopamine levels will in turn lower prolactin levels. P-5-P works in a roundabout fashion by stimulating dopamine production. See the following:

How is Dopamine made?
Dopamine is made from the amino acid tyrosine. Once produced, dopamine can, in turn, convert into the brain chemicals norepinephrine and epinephrine.

Phenylalanine
to
Tyrosine
to
L-Dopa
to
Dopamine
etc.

P-5-P is needed to create the enyzyme that make these conversions. So high Tyrosine and/or L-Dopa levels, + lots of P-5-P to support the enymatic conversion, should (in theory) lead to increased dopamine production and, in turn, a lowering of prolactin.

Vitex appears to work through different mechanisms, through the pituitary. So really, both could be used.

Thanks for the objective log. It sounds like you may be or have been overtraining. It happens, things come back to normal and progress is made. Periodization of workouts, with decreases of poundages helps. There comes a point when we have to take a break and lighten up the weights, its really all about health. JMO

I had a headache the last two days, which isn't normal for me, and the lethargy was really kicking my ass. I may end the cycle early if I don't start feeling better, which is ok as I am very happy with the results and dont think ending it now would be such a bad thing. Two things I'm going to change is try and eat more calories and drop the melatonin for now.

Weight: 203 (+7 pounds)

From the mirror, I feel like my body has transformed some. The shape of my chest and shoulders seems more angular, not sure how else to describe it. I have put on a small amount of fat (or water?) on my stomach relative to before I started putting on weight, although my waist is still smaller than when I started (!).

Hopefully I get some energy back, and start hitting the gym really hard again.

Have you checked your blood pressure recently?

Have you checked your blood pressure recently?
That was my first thought as well, and I freaking forgot to check it last night. Thanks for the reminder, I will check it when I get out of work today.

(I ran out of GSE late last week and haven't replaced it yet, this seems too coincidental).

The good news is I'm feeling better today. Less moody and more energy. No headache. Excited about a good workout tonight.

Thanks for keeping an objective log. In my experience Melatonin did not produce the expected benefits outside of sleep enhancement, it did make me groggy the next day and give headaches. There are so many factors involved that could of produced the noxious feelings you have described. In any event, you did see appreciable gains and changes in physique, but I actually thought you would experience more mood elevation and robust feelings of stamina.

blood pressure post workout wasn't too bad. 135/90, my diastolic seems to be the most effected, that is usually a lot lower. I'll check it in the morning and continue to monitor more closely.

I was taking melatonin for a few months. It is a very potent sleep aid for me, although it will sometimes leave me slightly groggy. I never had headaches, depression, or low energy from it. Either way, I'm not taking it again for the rest of this log.

Lets hope I have put that serious low behind me. It seems I've been in a bad rut for 2 weeks now (mood/energy), and its been really difficult. However, today was great, so I'm feeling positive about the last two weeks.

I'll post my workout log in the morning.

I think that melatonin can exacerbate allergy symptoms and other autoimmune things. Are you using Sustain regularly? The Nitro? Those should help with fatigue, mood and stamina in general.

I have kept to the 3on/3off protocol for sustain, and I have been taking 1 tween80 every day.

135-138/90-95

diastolic is up about 10-15 points. I'm going to watch it carefully now. Systolic is actually down from my last log (combination of tween80 and GSE maybe...or just more cardio).

I had to keep the workout short, otherwise I would have done a lot more work. Squats finally started feeling strong, although the numbers didn't get where I wanted...I'm feeling very optimistic about it now.

BP isn't too bad considering, that's good news. How long are you running this again?

EDIT - Never mind, looked back and saw it's a planned 6 week run. 10-odd days to go, hopefully you don't get more headaches.

Johnny..
My strarting BP was 116/66 on my Tren cycle.. Big Silver started at like 124/74 or so, on his Tren/ Pplex 5 weeker and went up to sumthin like 158/99, and he was taking about 2grams a day of Hawthorne Berry... I watched his log and bumped my HB intake up to 4 grams for the last 4 weeks of my 6 week cycle.. the highest my BP ever read was sumthin like 124/72... I did no cardio on cycle, just the HB and my BP stayed hella low.. Now Tren can effect peep's BP diff from others.. But still I thought I'd share that info with you.. I know 4 grams a day of HB did the trick for me...
Plus 7lbs, eh? Good job... Lost 3/4" of the waist too, also good... Think your holding a lil more ab fat or water, huh? Might be the extra carbs are doing that to you, but I wouldn't sweat it.. hell if you've leaned out a bit and put on muscle and set new PR's by a wide margin, you can't complain:woohoo:..
you did something right when you added the more carbs bcuz you threw on that weight right quick... looking good bro, eat big and drive hard the last two weeks.. Push hard man, if you can go into PCT plus 10lbs and have leaned out some.. that is a excellent cycle man.. a super clean bulk...

Thanks for the feedback! Ya, when I do this cycle again, I will definitely be taking hawthorn.

I'm very happy with my gains, especially in regards to strength. I'll be pushing hard the end of this cycle and see what else I can get out of it. I'm not sure 10 pounds is in the cards, but we shall see.

I went to a yearly event this weekend that brings a lot of friends I don't see very often, and received at least 10 comments on how huge I looked. I also got 2 comments from coworkers today. Obviously I look a lot bigger, its always good to hear:)

Because of the event, I didn't get much done this weekend.

Todays workout felt really good. I had a huge amount of focus and did not want to leave the gym.

I am still experiencing plenty of lethargy.

no, RPM, it is just a simple pre workout.

I imagine any stim will work to some extent, but I already have RPM on hand, and I know it works well for me. I would have preferred not to use any stim, but the lethargy has really kicked my ass.

I don't think the majority of people are getting lethargy from 1T tren, so you may be fine.

Even though I like AOR and the idea of supplementing vitamins, I think 3 dly may be too much. In my experience, vitamins can have the reverse effect on energy levels, particularly B complexes. JMO

Thats a good point. I was simply taking the dose of p5p that supposedly may help with prolactin. I hate to think one of the support supplements was what causing my lethargy. I think it is unlikely, but as a quick experiment, I'll drop the dose down for the last few days, and see what happens.

Weight: 206 (+10lbs)

Yesterday was pretty tough with the lethargy. It was an off day, and with all of the rain, I haven't been keeping up cardio.

today was great. Didn't have much lethargy, probably squeeze in a enough caffeine to kill it. The workout was pretty intense, and again I didn't really want to leave. All I have been thinking about is hitting the gym and getting under the bar (when I have enough energy to stay awake...). Its too bad every day can't be a heavy squat day.

Sides: I may be having some prostate swelling. I wouldn't really know how to tell, but my perineum has a slightly swollen spot on it. I have to admit, I feel weird telling the internet this.

I started taking hawthorn at the beginning of this week to get my blood pressure under control, and that will help the prostate issue, if there is one. I should have been on hawthorn from the start *slaps head*

My forearms are looking a lot more vascular.

I hit the 10 pound increase! I didn't think I would do it, but I sacrificed some of the clean bulk, and got it there (sushi for my birthday, delicious). Hopefully my waist has not grown, I don't look like I have put on too much fat going by the mirror.

Regarding the prostate, if its swelling there will be problems urinateing, beta sitoserol is the best for that supplementspot has the highest concentration of Beta I have found in their maximum prostate formula.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

As for the prostate, I think theres a little big going on, as I feel some general discomfort sometimes that is not normal.

I don't seem to see other loggers noting the lethargy and prostate issues. I guess someone has to get the sides...

Happy B day! Sometimes you get more sides than others, Great log, hopefully its been a productive cycle in terms of muscle growth and other goals.

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dragon you can try to twist this how you want.. if that's what gets you off..

Your twisting my words outta shape though..
My whole point to johnyq was.. that if he was eating low carbs he should be eating high protein.. I've touched on the protein, fats and calories working hand in hand..
My advice was based on growing some fast muscle mass.. It's sorta a s!ht or get off the pot deal.. protein is key to me, I want a sh!t load of it, amino's are the building blocks..
if you want to preach growing muscle on a high fat and high carb diet with 1.11g of protein per lb, then go right ahead but your not gonna grow muscle as fast and with more fat.. :donut:
:donut:
:donut:

For what its worth, I just came off an oral Tren (19-Nor) cycle of 5 weeks. I put on 10lbs LBM.

My diet...well, anything my eyes and stomach desired. lol. This included anything from frozen dinners, to pizza, chicken, steak, potatoes, cereal, canned meals, etc. Nothing super special. EOD I chugged a Cytogainer w/ water. That included about 40-50g whey protein right there. I truly believe my protein intake was about 100-125g daily and a good day maybe 150-175g. However, I had lots of fat and lots of carbs, too. And my gains were stellar and on Tren alone!

Granted, I'm only 145lbs, and this was my first cycle, so..take it with a grain of salt I guess. Regardless, the results were great and my protein intake was sub-par. I should have had 200g protein everyday, which I didn't- not even once. But I do think my protein will have to be up to 200+g/day to maintain this gain. So we'll see.
