BCAA/EAA vs. 100% Whey

I have looked into the ingredients of many whey proteins and have found that most have all of the essential amino's that are in supplements such as EAA Stack(universal Nutrition) or purple wraath. - excluding the other things in purple wraath.

What is the difference in taking something such as EAA Stack and ON Gold standard 100% whey protien.

They seem the same to me but ppl say to take both for some reason....

You don't need to digest BCAAs/EAAs . Therefore you can take them during your workout, and they are rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream, and can be catabolized instead of using the Amino Acids from your muscles via catabolism, to a certain degree.

so your saying that they just get into the bloodstream quicker and are more easliy absorbed??

if so, i think that i am going to go on EAA Stack and just eat alot

Pretty much! I love some EAA/BCAA while I lift.

oh and if anyone is still on here....now that im only taking bcaa/eaa's, whats the best i should get. i no everyone says go with purple wraath but with money right now that out the question. i just want the basics..i was just thinking EAA Stack or amino fuel 2000...any others??

Scivation Xtend or Controlled Labs Purple Wraath are just about your only options unless you like popping capsules of BCAA during your workout.

Protein gives a larger spectrum of aminos.

Also, aminos in raw form are costly in general.

I am buying a tub of Purple Wraath tonight actually.

What about a Hydrolyzed protein? It's partially digested already and broken down into di and tri peptides. Shown to bypass the stomach(80%) and get digested in the small intestine.

yes thats true lol... tryin to get a little cheaper products, 15 bucks for lg's product. im gonna go check that baby out first

the product from lg looks pretty solid. it has more grams of the bcaa's then EAA stack and at the same price, also it is cheaper then PW but i think i can do without the extras of purple wrath cuz ill be taking shock therapy what has bothe BA and CM.

Ya its great stuff. I use some during my lift(Intrabolic) and Post Workout(Relentless) currently...but its not cheap

I use it that way also. I agree on the cost too, missed the part about OP not having $$.:bandit:

yes i just read up on lg's supplement, it looks good and its cheaper. it has more bcaa's then wraath and eaa stack have too. im gonna go with that for the price i think, even though wraath is penetrating through my head.

LG's stuff is sold out.

Tried Xtend just because of so much good i have heard from it. I take 10 scoops during cardio and i am lean as hell after.

BCAA's before bed are a must too 5-10g's

u should all try VPX powershock. eaa's+bcaa nitrates+beta alanin + CM. 25-30g of this stuff during training causes balloon-like pumps for me.
+this stuff is ridicilously cheap

This is something I stopped doing... not for any reason, I don't even know why I did. I'm glad I came into this thread, because it reminds me how vital BCAAs are intra-workout. I'm going to be adding them back in :)

not so fast my friend. LG's BCAA + EAA is really good. The blue rasberry is pretty tasty IMO. Good deal for basically 15 bucks.

x2. LG's flavoring isn't as strong as purple wraath or xtend. Which to me is a benefit. It's almost like flavor overload with some Amino products.

Naturally I'm inclined to agree with this post. Invalid Link Removed :) But because the OP said that he was on a budget, I'd be more inclined to say something like some AjiPure BCAAs and some juice/crystal light or the other products listed in this thread.
